@Firnagzen I'm feeling paranoid. Does this vote give you enough for a good update? This is probably the most freedom we've ever even thought about giving Brinapilot; would you advise hammering out some specifics or a more concrete plan instead of the "Find a way to do X, don't care how" goal? A specific proposal for a meeting, more detail on our opening or presentation, something like that?
It does, yes, though specifics are always, nice-
Maybe extend:

To include what sort of person Sabrina will introduce herself as? (Which can be bogstandard 'I Wished to help people, I want to help YOU' :V (and something about Clear Seeds?))
F'r example, this is good.

[] Simultaneously: Sayaka.
-[] Support the clone plan.
-[] Recommend copying Kazumi's chibis for multitasking.

[] Simultaneously: Kazumi, Mami.
-[] Keep them updated on Yuuri conversation.
-[] Warn of infohazards.

[] Simultaneously: Hijiri
-[] Goals:
--[] Continue conversation/therapy, same principals as before.
--[] Keep Hijiri occupied to prevent coordination with Yuuri.
--[] Subtly investigate discrepancies.
--[] Investigate Yuuri's arguments, plans, objective in Niko's lab, powers, etc.
-[] Potential specifics:
--[] Thank her for connecting you.
--[] Commiserate about being misled by crazy schemers.
--[] If an opening appears, talk about life goals. Good therapy and a distraction.
---[] Mention your amnesia, but nothing further.

[] Simultaneously: Yuuri.
-[] Move to a new channel minus Hijiri.
-[] Goals:
--[] Short-circuit the hunt by engineering an encounter.
---[] A betrayal works as well as a legit meeting - If she tries to set a trap, let her.
--[] Investigate her motives.
-[] Potential specifics:
--[] Introduce yourself as a mediator. Work toward a peaceful resolution - explain your own motives, ask about problems, etc.
--[] You also need to check on the Clear Seed.

156 words. Argh. I feel like it's better? I'm not entirely sure. We barely have anything at all on Yuuri. If I wasn't dispatching such high-level instructions I'd absolutely be advocating a short update. As it is it's still very unbalanced; the Hijiri section is easily two updates worth of material.

Honestly, I'm still pretty ambivalent about the clone approach unless we have assurance that Sayaka can manage both of herself at the same time.

Hmmm... Is the Clear seed Yurri's though? That would be an interesting twist, though I would doubt that the Pledieas still have had a grief seed from a witch that long ago. Whatever that period of time was, they had a bit of a drought on grief seeds didn't they since Kazumi was starving her soul gem of cleansing anyways right?

Most likely Kyubey or his ilk have already eaten Yurri's seed and it is now providing everlasting power to prevent entropy by now (and unimportantly torturing the girl's soul forevermore).

Yay

Assurances schmassurances.

It's Sayaka who'll be doing it and IIRC Sayaka proposed it. If she thinks she can do it she should do it.
If it doesnt work we help run damage control later and try to turn it into a positive learning exoerience.
If it works, no problem and GJ Sayaka.
Dai jou bou.

A thought... how long ago was the encounter with original-Yuuri in canon? And what if any events make it /necessary/ for it to be so long ago?

Is there a reason, in other words, that timeline-screwery couldn't make that recent enough for them to plausibly still have her unused Seed?

I don't think PMKM specifies these things.

Probably the biggest cause for the time gap is simply that the Hyades conspiracy was outnumbered by the Pleiades themselves. They're a local/regional power bloc whose enemies have to strike them when they're vulnerable-- such as when, for instance, half their team, including their leader, is outside the city. In canon, it was after Michiru died, which reminds me of another thing:

In canon, the villains started out a bit more subtle in their harassment, trying to wear the Pleiades down. Before they ever fought Anri or the Soujus, they had to deal with the fallout from Evil Nut field testing, and before that Anri actually stole the 13th Kazumi clone while it was in transit from the lab-- she just wound up getting stuck in a villainous plot traffic jam instead. I find it interesting how they've already escalated to outright assault and burglary here; we should definitely be on guard for other tricks and traps.

-Airi wanted to nick the clone to hurt the Pleiades, but she bumped into a certain shopkeeper who happened to have the same brand of conspicuous luggage, and they got mixed up.
-The shopkeeper was transporting a bomb with which he intended to go out in a blaze of glory, blowing up the mega mart that was running him out of business (and got a hell of a surprise when a schoolgirl fell out, fresh from being naked inna tube)
-The bomb itself was actually a fake, provided to him by a detective who happened to be the only woman in her force, and got no respect from her colleagues-- she tried constructing a false flag that she could swoop in and bust for rank and prestige, due to, ironically, the influence of an Evil Nut.

So basically Airi played herself.
And so did the detective, actually, by not bringing a bomb tech when the bust happened-- since nobody present knew how to disarm it, Kaoru had to drop kick it into the ceiling, where it exploded into confetti. There was probably an idiot ball involved somewhere, since nobody thought to comment on Kaoru's gross display of superhuman strength.

Doesn't Saki have teleport? Sayaka copied her, I think, so maybe?

"If you and Sayaka both copy my flying platform, that makes both of you two fliers as well," you point out with a grin.

"Ah!" Kazumi brightens. "And there's Saki, of course, and Niko."

Saki pushes her glasses-monocle up her nose. "Granted, but I can only bring myself."

You purse your lips. Saki has some variety of lightning power, as you recall. Perhaps some kind of ride-the-lightning.

I know Saki teleports with Kazumi while being mind controlled by Satomi in PMKM...

Maybe her powers work different in PMAS?

I know Sayaka already has lightning powers from somewhere; was that Saki? If so, shouldn't be too hard for her to ask Saki how to do that trick. I don't know if it's going to be faster than the MOF, though. The MOF is kinda stupid.

Any concrete feedback on new vote proposal? I'm considering cutting down some of the Hijiri stuff and slapping on a directive for a medium-short update so we can adjust our approach with Yuuri after getting some observations.

Also, can anyone think of a way for us to get Yuuri's phone number? If we can get that we can send that off to hackerguca and track her... honestly pretty trivially. I can't think of a good excuse, though. If the Clear Seed had more complex operating instructions we could say we needed to send her a document. Say that telepathy doesn't work for us sometimes because of our powers?

I don't know if Yuuki will be operational this early in the morning...

PMKM Saki literally teleports from Umika's house to the Freezer, carrying Kazumi along.

Not sure if it's her power, or there's some sort of teleporting array in the Freezer.

When they first show Kazumi13 the Freezer, they go to Mirai's Angelica Bears Museum, then use a magic pentagram to... beam into the basement where the Freezer is.

Going by the quote, PMAS Saki can probably move at lightning speed (?), but MOF is more BS than that, yes, specially for long travel.

I realize that Kazumi producing a chibi clone might blue screen all the present pleiades saints :V
--[] Subtly investigate discrepancies.
Maybe we could poke on how they found out about the Clear Seed? verify in a roundabout way who was tailing Niko yesterday, when we handed over the seed?
---[] Mention your amnesia, but nothing further.
On hindsight, this might not be a terribly great idea. IMO, we appear to know far too much and acting way too independently for someone who woke up at an amnesiac state a few weeks ago. Claiming we have amnesia might appear as a blatant lie and/or an attempt to gain sympathy.

Don't forget, I'm pretty sure Sayaka has Kazumi's affect copying thing, so with that power active she can copy our shit with the same ease.
