One thing base strike has is increased crit rate, along with a damage boost vs outposts and starbases. I do favor decisive battle though as it appeals to my general inclination of defeating the enemies fleet
PREREQS - United Starfleet

LEADS TO - United Federation
IIRC the prototype for this tree had UF has 50% of member ships allocated to the US sector, rather than 25%. Not sure if it's still the same, but still a roving fleet with 50% of all member ships together makes for a hell of a punch.@OneirosTheWriter are you missing a tech? Seems to be, since Base Strike has 12 and Decisive Battle has 10. Also this.
[T3] Galaxy Wing
Rather than spreading them through the battle line, concentrate your explorers into a potent force.
0 / 35 Galaxy Wing (Unlock Tactic: Galaxy Wing, explorers are more likely to be the source of fire)
What's the main difference between "Galaxy Wing" and "Attack Pattern Omega" tactics?[T2] Attack Pattern Omega
Sometimes the key is to focus on the big threats, and let the giants go toe-to-toe.
0 / 25 Target Assessment (Unlock Target Priority: Shield+Combat)
0 / 25 Tactical Consulation (Unlock Attack Pattern Omega: Explorers gain +50% weighting for firing and targeting)
Are there any smaller powers using Wolf Pact Doctrine? Perhaps the Apiata? If so, would their wolf pact just be a single ship, or still the standard queenship + 2 stinger battle group?A 'Wolf Pack' is a Fleet that is: not more than 5% of total tonnage, not more than 5% of total numbers, that may attempt to bypass border zones and operate in enemy territory.
Homefront Support
When ship and crew are far from home, their success may rest on the support given months ago.
0 / 25 Design Emphasis (Reduced pp costs for Target* ship type requests)
0 / 25 Romanticism (Gain +0.25 O/E/T Recruitment)
*Target Ship = Explorer in Lone Ranger Fleet Design
Building the Den
This is both a hazardous mission and specialised task. It is important to have the industrial base prepared for the effort.
0 / 25 Targeted Industrial Expansion (Reduce pp costs for new berths that most closely match your Target ship)
0 / 25 Streamlined Assembly (Reduce Target ship build times by 25%, to a maximum of 2 Qtr)
In Excelsis
Sometimes today's explorer can still serve as tomorrow's jack-of-all-trades.
(Able to nominate one class with an Explorer role for the following)
0 / 25 Shipyard Veterancy (Nominated Capital Ship reduces construction time by 25%)
0 / 25 Automation Update (Crew Requirements on this ship reduced by 20%, rounded down)
Nor the Battle to the Strong
There is more to a fleet than combat. The Explorer Corps is your guiding light, the best and brightest who can turn battles with more than phasers.
0 / 25 Public Campaign (Explorer Corps Recruitment increased by +1 per type)
0 / 25 Advanced Toolkit (Each EC Explorer in a fleet grants +2% Fleet Value)
Arsenal of Equality
To reduce your vulnerability to a base strike, it is important to diversify your production base.
0 / 40 Risk Assessment (New Shipyard Complexes become cheaper)
Arsenal of Liberty
Free people in common purpose can achieve any goal.
0 / 25 Infrastructure Gear-Up (PP cost of shipyards and related infrastructure reduced)
0 / 25 Accelerated Production Schedules (Reduce all build times by 1Qtr)
0 / 25 Recruitment Surge (+15% Academy intake)
Well if I'm reading it right Galaxy Wing just makes Explorers more likely to fire while Attack Pattern Omega makes Explorers more likely to fire and to be fired upon. What's the main difference between "Galaxy Wing" and "Attack Pattern Omega" tactics?
For different powers I try to keep things relevant to their situation - Apiata use Little Queenship+2 Stingers. Are there any smaller powers using Wolf Pact Doctrine? Perhaps the Apiata? If so, would their wolf pact just be a single ship, or still the standard queenship + 2 stinger battle group?
Nothing really. What's the main difference between "Galaxy Wing" and "Attack Pattern Omega" tactics?
Currently, any construction requirements are met by PP alone I believe.Logistically, they want a steady supply of spare parts and structural members moved up and take some of each in the supply loop.

Some more corrections/comments:1)It is indeed.
a)I'll punch in that additional colony info and...
b)other incomes...
c)and those too.
Thank you for this. Lag in following through on changes is not a lack of appreciation, only free time.
Well, an algorithm could be devised for aux ship assignments, but it would require scripting. Live-updating source data, on income and ship projections, could eliminate much of the external copy-pasting you need to do when updating this spreadsheet. You could take periodic value snapshots of the live-updating sheets and manually fill in other data sources and aux ship assignments.Given that I currently need to manually tweak the shipping assignments (except Supply, which is very SR dominated) I'm not sure how practical this is. I'll see what I can do though.
Nah, that was already the case.To note, some of the capstone Weapons techs cost a point of Militarization each, which I think might be new?
Well, In Excelsis seems a bit underpowered now, considering that all we get is a crew rebate. If there was a cost reduction on new builds and a free refit project, I think the Excelsior would remain competitive. Another option is an additional -1C for combat cap calculations for the In Excelsis ship, and perhaps granting the free +1 S/P from EC ships to all Excelsiors, or a bonus to responses. A tier 4 upgraded In Excelsis tech would also work.@OneirosTheWriter if we end up eventually mothballing the ship we nominate for In Excelsis, can we change the ship that tech applies to? Maybe with a short research project?
