The idea with bringing up Clear Seeds, I think, is to make her realize that she's not actually doomed and doesn't need to keep up a brave face and refuse help while she's slowly dying.I'm also not sure what the point of trying to sell clear seeds to her over telepathy is? The vote is to go tomorrow regardless, so do we expect a clear seed offer to get them to invite us over immediately?
[X] Confer with Mami and then dig a bit.
-[X] Verbally: Tell Mami you think she's hiding how bad the situation really is.
-[X] Telepathically: Make arrangements to meet up as quickly as possible. Tomorrow, or even tonight; in five minutes or less, if necessary. Offer ferry services.
-[X] Explain: Your ability to refresh Seeds, so don't discard them. Clear Seeds, every meguca group should have one, you'd appreciate the chance to have more beta testers.
[X] Post-conversation debrief. Request Cone of Silence.
-[X] Go over possible pitfalls in Asunano, including mind control and/or power stealing. Go over possible counters, that Kirika and Homura working together may be necessary.
-[X] Ask Kirika to make you Anti Magic Enchantments.
-[X] Thank and say goodbye to the Kures.
[X] Ask Homura for a chat.
If I can suggest a couple additions:Sticking with my vote for now, but I'm not particularly happy about it:
We hug the living daylights out of her, that's what!OK, consideration. What if we tell Mami that Kazusa might be hiding something, and Mami just panics and feels worse and clams up?
Because a good chunk of Sabrina's mind is paranoid....nope. Still bothered by the knee jerk emergency trip offer. We have no evidence or canonical evidence Kazusa's situation requires immediate intervention. Why can't we just meet her tomorrow like we were planning to?
I figure those are all automatic actions, and would just clutter the vote. Like I said, Brinapilot's pretty good these days.
Because they're not talking tomorrow; they're talking "sometime":...nope. Still bothered by the knee jerk emergency trip offer. We have no evidence or canonical evidence Kazusa's situation requires immediate intervention. Why can't we just meet her tomorrow like we were planning to?
With Michiru maybe-possibly spiraling right now, or at least getting very close, an all-too-likely possibility given that she is showing signs of hidden distress when her Wish power is to be able to cover up such signs, she may no longer be in the right mindset to seek out a cleanse in a timely manner. Remember how often we had to remind Mami to cleanse her Gem when she was feeling down?"Yeah, we're actually planning a trip sometime, if that works for you?"
"Oh, that would be wonderful," Michiru says. "I now know how hard it is to leave your city behind, though! Maybe I could come over instead? I'll bring Umika and Kaoru with me!"
Because they're not talking tomorrow; they're talking "sometime":
Hm. Okay, you're right, we probably don't need to directly confront Kazusa, just be pushy about going over tomorrow. I still like bringing up refreshing / Clearing Seeds, though, and comforting Mami is an automatic action, so:[X] Comfort Mami.
[X] Ask Kazusa if she's available tomorrow. We'll pick her up during school time and bring her over. Figure out a time and place to meet up.
[X] Once you're done with Kazusa, bring back the Privacy Bubble.
[X] Tell them about you bringing Kazusa over, and then properly visiting Asunaro later on.
-[X] Explain Hijiri's mind/memory magics and push for Kirika (and Oriko) to accompany you to help counter that.
-[X] Mami is going by default.
[X] Say goodbye to the Kures.
[X] Ask Homura to have that chat, in private.
[Q] Don't think about that laundry list of things you need to do.it's no trouble and you don't have anything better to do anyway.
We have a couple spots where she suspiciously skipped over details. Backed up by this:...nope. Still bothered by the knee jerk emergency trip offer. We have no evidence or canonical evidence Kazusa's situation requires immediate intervention. Why can't we just meet her tomorrow like we were planning to?
I think that this is a "better safe than sorry" situation. Especially because Mami's on the line.To answer this seriously, Michiru wished for her grandmother to wake up and act perfectly fine with her last day of life, without actually changing her fate or health. Essentially, magic that hide a problem and ignores it without stopping it.
So it's totally within the character of her wish for Michiru to be grief-spiraling and show no outward signs of any kind, and perhaps not even have internal changes in her mood or personality, until the exact last moment.

[x] Something feels suspicious, and you're not going to take changes with Mami's friends.
[x] Get on a private line and make sure Kazusa isn't about to martyr herself in the name of politeness.
Except we have information saying that she will flat-out ignore horrifying situations right up to the point where they kill the people around her. Having known people like that in person, she could easily be politely making plans for tomorrow to politely solve the problem that is going to result in her witching out thirty seconds after we get off the phone. Her plans are not acceptable evidence. She's also fully intent on visiting us and wants to see Mitakihara. Her situation is bad, but not emergency trip levels of urgent.
We can multiplex. Maybe something like this?I could go for talking to Kazusa privately, though Mami would worry more.

[] Help Mami finish the conversation up.
[] Once conversation is over, quietly keep Kazusa on the line and make sure etc.
Canon PMKM went out the window a long time ago, especially now that's stuck our fingers in it. And from what I can see, she's absolutely heading for a witch-out. So yes, that is what I'm suggesting. Are you suggesting that Kazusa would witch out earlier then her actual canon witchout?
That'd work.Thought: While arranging meeting time and place, make Kazusa promise to be there?
See if she hesitates or not. Whether she avoids, or compromises easily.
Whether she's sure she can make it, or not.
If you're that worried, then play it cool, get off the line with Kazusa, say goodbye to everyone, then the moment we get Homura in timestop we make a quick jaunt over to Asunano and buzz the city looking for Soul Gems to clean.Except we have information saying that she will flat-out ignore horrifying situations right up to the point where they kill the people around her.
