So, lemme see if I got this right.

Muramasa's vote is playing up being a more experienced magical girl than Ono.
Ugolino's vote includes getting upset about someone talking poorly about our friends.
SynchronizedWritersBlock's vote is to try to be a mature adult and reduce the emotional tension.

Okay, so, Kyouko, Sayaka, and Junko are all playing to type (except SWB isn't drunk off his ass (I think)).

Who else in the thread is gonna start acting like their avatars? Choo Choo?

You should clearly come up with votes that are super enthusiastic about helping our best friend (which would be Mami, in this case).

I should find an avatar.

My, uh, history of votes in PMAS is... rather different from that. But I tend to change avatar every so often.

Which is why we do the entire rest of the vote calmly and in a way where we give Ono what we wants wherever possible. While writing a vote for the Sabrinabot 9000, Therapy Edition may be possible, I don't think that's a good way to do much of anything.

You aren't going to get anywhere because Ono isn't going to consider anything we say in her current state. This is exacerbated by engaging her insult.

The entire situation is asking us if we're willing to be patient on several levels: with Ono's aggression, with communicating with her when she's stubbornly got her fingers in her ears, with what our relationship is going to look like after we leave. Trying to get her to listen when she is struggling, shouting, and trying to provoke us will not work.

It's perfectly normal to be able to take a breath and respond calmly, especially to someone who poses no threat to us, and with whom we have no time limit. I think being able to talk someone down is a lot more human than bashing our heads against her ignoring us, repeating an approach that already failed.

I'll make cryptic comments because I know the future, magnifying your paranoia while failing to actually meaningfully help or accomplish anything!

Uh... where do you guys think Homura got the obrez from, anyway? I can tell ya right now, it wasn't the yakuza.

Oh, right, and

Fantastic! Now I have something new to worry about. If this Homura might've went to Russia, are we maybe dealing with Chiaki Matsuda in disguise?

Perhaps we should also refute the claim that we are a gaijin too, while we are engaging with Ono's tirade. It was in the same sentence, and we were born in Japan from Japanese, uh, causes. ;)

Or, to be serious, something simple like "Mami and Homura are here because they care about your well-being" or "want to help you" would defend them perfectly adequately without engaging the insult.

[X] Smile, thank Mami. If there's any possibility you can communicate her to let you handle things for a few minutes, without telepathy, now's the time. Otherwise, if Mami tries to intervene before Ono gets out of control, gently stop her.
[X] Keep an eye on Ono's Gem.
[X] If at any time Ono starts yelling or ranting, let her be, then continue:
-[X] Tone: Confrontational. Prod, try to rile up Ono to get her to vent her anger on us. Possible points to bring up, unless given better targets:
-[X] She's not scaring us away. (As Magical Girls), we fight far worse every day; today was particulary terrifying.
-[X] We'd leave her alone any other time, that would be right, but she's practically commiting suicide. We can't let that happen.
-[X] We simply want her to live; she doesn't need to help us if she doesn't want. Just stay alive and uncorrupted.

[x] Tell Mami to let Ono go for a second
[x] Dissolve the Grief ring on Ono, trapping her in timestop
[x] Fly over to Oriko's
[x] Pull them into timestop
[x] Ask Kirika for a favor. Emphasize it's a matter of life and death. Even if she's hesitant, Oriko should be able to convince her.
[x] Go back to Ono
[x] Pull her back into timestop
[x] Blast her with anti-magic (continuously, if possible)
[x] How are you feeling, miss Ono?
[x] Vote prompt.

[x] Pin Ono to the wall with Grief.
-[x] Stab a shap bit of grief into the wall by her throat while yelling DO YOU WANT TO DIE? in her face.
-[x] When she indicates she doesn't want to die, lichbomb her and explain about how emotions and magic use can kill her and the importance of keeping her gem clean.

[x] We are not leaving until you listen.
[x] At this rate, you will run out of magic. If a magical girl runs out of magic, she dies.
[x] If your soul gem goes dark. You die.
[X] Your constant magic use is going to kill you.
[X] We have to stop that from happening.
[X] Megane, please let us help you. We don't want you to die.

[x] have tea with Mami and Homura till Ono calms down.

[X] Smile at Mami, and nod in appreciation.
[X] If interrupted, allow her to finish, then continue.
[X] Ono, you have every right to to hate me and want me gone. But I cannot leave you alone when it'll kill you.
[X] It's time for you to learn how fragile we are.
[X] Give Mami your gem and ask her to leave with it and to allow Ono a chance to check my body. Then to return.
-[x] I'll be fine as long as my Soul Gem is with you.

[X] Ask her why she thinks you had approached her so abruptly the day you met.
-[X] It's because her gem would have filled up completely and shattered had you done nothing and just let her go. Emotional turmoil combined with overuse of magic will do that.
-[X] She would have died. If her gem gets too corrupted, it will kill her. Either because it would weaken and distract her too much for a Witch, or because it will fill completely breaking her soul gem.
[X] If she keeps overusing her magic and her gem continues to get corrupted at this rate then she'll die. You know that she's already used up your seed. It should have lasted her far longer than this, which was partly why you were worried.

[x] To answer your question: You don't know how to survive as a magical girl. You are burning through an insane amount of magic. To put it in perspective, the average magical girl can go about a week before they need to use a grief seed. You are going through at least one grief seed a day even without fighting a witch. That's irregular and not sustainable.
[x] Not only that, but you are horribly underestimating the threat the witches present, and I don't know why. I take it you've fought at least one witch. Maybe you got really lucky and that witch happened to be a really easy one. I don't know. I really hope you're not treating one witch as a base line for all the witches your going to encounter.
-[x] Underestimating the witches will cost you your life. That goes for everyone in this room. Not just you.
[x] When we found you, you were about to fight a very dangerous witch with your soul gem half way corrupted, no grief seeds to fall back on and yourself in no emotional state to be fighting witches in the first place. There is a very good chance, you would have died had you fought that witch.
[x] Now I'm not asking you to talk about your personal life. But as a magical girl, you have some serious problems that will get you killed if we don't address them. They can be fixed. But we have to talk about them.

[X] Convey our appreciation to Mami non-verbally.
[X] Calmly. Let her respond to each line if she's inclined to. If she interrupts, let her finish. Pick up again after, repeating if necessary, or picking a response to what she said if one applies and would be helpful, or create a response along the same lines as the below if none apply.
-[X] I'm sorry for breaking into your home.
-[X] I understand that you feel slighted when I cancelled our appointment earlier.
-[X] I apologize that I bothered you so incessantly about meeting today.
-[X] Despite everything, I need to explain why talking to you today is both urgent and necessary.
-[X] I'm not going to leave until I'm satisfied you are taking me seriously.

[x]Annoyed tone. Don't let Ono drag you into an argument.
-[x]Say what you want about me, but don't you dare call Mami a crony. Or Homura. Mami's one of the kindest people I know. You don't know anything about either of them...and they're here because they give a damn about what happens to you and want to help you.
[x]Homura. Put that away, please.
[x]Calm yourself before you keep speaking. Let Mami or Homura speak first if they have anything to say.
[x]Yes. We broke into your house. Because you are going to die if you keep doing things your way. That's why we did it, and why you need to listen to us.
-[x]You're using your magic too much. Do that and your gem fills up with grief. If it's full? That kills you.
--[x]It gets worse. Remember what you felt like when we found you? That won't go away unless you use a grief seed...and the worse it gets, the less likely you are to want to do something about it. Grief's self-reinforcing.
--[x]That's why grief seeds are so important. Why you need to use them, and why most Puella Magi need to hunt constantly to stay alive. Why I want to try and cleanse everyone...and why I gave that grief seed to you.
[x]If you never want to see us again, we'll do that...but only after we're sure you'll be alright on your own. You think I'm a meddler? Fine. Show me that you don't need me to meddle for you to stay alive and I promise you'll never see me again after that. You can hunt Witches on your own if that's really what you want, then...but only when we're sure you won't actually die.
[x]If Mami lets you go, will you listen to us?

Well, I'm sticking to my vote, unless SWB gets more votes. I think Mura is trying to skip to the part where Ono listens to us, but all we've got from her is an insulting question made in anger, so our answer needs to be very short and to the point, and there's a chance she won't listen even then.

It's Ono that needs to get talking right now, not us. If it requires pissing her off to get her talking, I'll take it.

She's not in a position to listen to us yet. What she is, is angry, so she wants to be angry. That's all we've got here; we can feed that, keep her emotional, so she reveals more of what she actually thinks, and tires herself out until she becomes more amenable to listening to us, simply because she's too emotionally tired to do anything else.

We've got to work with what we have.

SWB's option is softer than mine, but maybe just bringing up every way we've pissed off Ono is enough to get her talking. Might be better.

This doesn't make any sense. It's literally voting to not get dragged into an argument, followed by voting to get dragged into an argument. You can't just rise to the bait, take it, and expect everything to end there.

Actually, I feel we're passing up a chance, but maybe it's not time yet to try to be so aggresive as my vote.

[X] SynchronizedWritersBlock

It's simple enough, and tries to work with what we have, instead of what we wish we had.

It's good enough if she's alive, imo. I in no way want to be her friend.

I do! Having her become a friend would practically be a trophy.

[x] Remain calm and allow her to speak or interrupt as she wishes. Then continue.
[x] I understand why you're angry, but your beef is with me. Don't insult my friends when they're only here to help you

[x] I'll bet Kyuubey told you a lot of nasty stories about me. Why are you trusting him after he's left you so uneducated, you didn't even know about telepathy?

Having read all of the votes, this one seems pretty reasonable. It's a little deferential, but that's usually what is best IRL, so, even though I secretly want to use shock and awe to get our way, let's do the smarter, nicer thing.

Bah! Bah I say! We should just give her a time out and ignore her till she's calmed down. It works for children, and that's how she's acting.
