Lights... Camera... ACTION!!: A Hollywood Quest

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
Hi Magoose here one of the guys helping Duke.

So we have some bad news.

The quest has been canceled as duke does not want to write it anymore.

I'm going to ask if I can take over for it, because I like this quest, and it would be a shame to kill it
TBF, Mags, you have been doing a lot of the heavylifting for the quest, so this will be in good hands. :)

To be clear to everyone, this is just me burning out on imagination of the quest, since my muse has been hitting me over the head a lot with so many different ideas that I just can't find myself too interested in this.

I'll still hang out here, though, since this still does have a sepcial place in my heart.

I'd like to thank you all for making this a wonderful experience while it lasted.

I'd also like to thank @Magoose, @Fluffy_serpent, and @Martin Noctis for doing so much to help prepare and write this quest. I couldn't have done it without you all. :D

I'll see you all around.

With so many regards, Duke William Of.

Do we need to take a separate action in order to convince Spielberg, Kurtz, Coppola, and all the others that were outlined in the interlude or anyone else that we think of in order to get them to hook up with the new Lucasfilm studio? I would assume yes, but I'd like to know for sure.

George is actually doing that.

So trust in George.

The answer to that question is yes.
However I want to point out that it may become significantly harder because people will want more money.
Starting with them will make things easier

Considering we are a founding member we will be getting a lot of money so I wouldn't feel bad at all to reinvest our own money back into the company.

Since it seems like "A Strong Foundation" is going to win I wanted to ask, for the next turn I was planning on doing some lobbying with the O'Reilly Foundation since November has Veteran's Day, are there any particular concessions that people want from the California state government? I was aiming for education support for paid college hours for veterans or spouses and children similar to what Texas has.

Hmm..just reminded of the Gun Laws..

I wonder if we can invent Gun-fu with the help of the Magoose Dice?

Great..who's the one to lead the Marketing Department? Eisner?

Veterans discounts, housing for veterans who would otherwise end up homeless, vocational training, and employing unemployed veterans as "municipal janitors" who would have the job of working to clean up urban centers and maintaining basic infrastructure(kind of like the Civilian Conservation Corps, ensuring that they can always get at least some kind of job as well as keeping California from descending into a 3rd world shit hole, at least in appearance. Sorry not sorry @Magoose). I might come back to you later with more but that's what I have for now.

We can do something like the Fisher House Foundation's Hotels for Hotels and Hero Miles programs where they arrange for hotel accommodations and airline miles for traveling veterans.

There is also K9s for Warriors who take dogs from high-kill shelters and train them to be service dogs for vets who suffer from PTSD and other ailments.

It sucks that we're having to forgo that animation department for practicality's sake, but I think there's a solution here: buy out Hanna-Barbera.

For one thing, it's an established studio so we wouldn't have to do the heavy lifting of building it up from scratch, for another, we can get a jumpstart on Clone Wars [and other animated properties- hopefully even the Amblination ones, hopefully nabbing Don Bluth too], and lastly we can stick it to Warner Bros. a good thirty years before its relevant.

I am going to say this so you don't get any ideas…

Hanna Barbara are going to try and drive a very hard bargin to get their silver for their company.

And with buying out you get its reputation that could take a long time to rehabilitate

It also means we get their IP like Scooby Doo, Tom and Jerry, Flintstones, and more, which would be awesome. Though I would much rather build up our own original IP.

I would prefer Genndy Tartakovsky, if we can wait for a decade that is. I'm hoping that we can perhaps absorve Filmation, along with their library and writers. If I remmeber correctly, the ones that worked for He Man were some of the best when it came to stories (which is one of their strengths and the reason why many still remmeber said cartoon fondly). Besides, J. Michael Straczynski worked for them at some point, and the man is a genius when it comes to storytelling.

I mean, considering they're owned by Taft Broadcasting at the moment [bought in '66] and they end up selling them off in '87, I already imagined it would take a bit of revenue to get it out from under them.
Dosen't George have this policy of not letting people write prequel-era stuff before he publishes Phantom Menance?
If that's the case...ensure the Holiday Special isn't a dumpster fire?

Absolutely on Genndy Tartakovsky, absolutely love what he's done with Primal and the last season of Samurai Jack.

As for Filmation, yeah, that's also an option. Really fucking hate what L'Oreal did with them, and not at all like that.

The guy who wrote the "One More Day" Spidey Comic?
The guy who wrote the entire series of "Babylon 5", the best run of Fantastic 4 and Spider-Man, and then was browbeaten into writing that abomination of a story.

Seriously, why does everyone just think he wanted to write that, his previous run had Peter and Mary Jane getting back together for crying out loud.

Just thinking what amazing stories he could make if not limited by the budget.

Filmation also will have He Man at some point, we can actually make a good sequel series, and movie, if we get the rights.

Though I'm going to be honest, I did enjoy the movie when it came out.
