I'm not going to weigh in on the logic of either side's arguments, but I will ask that everyone read over what they write and really consider if the words they used are polite and won't be inflammatory intentionally or not. You cant account for people's tolerances perfectly but at least try to say your piece without saying things that can be easily construed as overly dismissive of the other side of the argument, thank you.

So, hypothetical question, what would happen if all the valuable metals were completely mined in the entire world and there was no way off it? What would the Dwarves do? Mining seems to be a big part of their culture.

I'm leaning towards this one, mainly to see if we get anything that may affect Armored Maidens. Either way, we can complete that request in the next 2 turns unless something unexpected happens.

I want to get our commissions out of the way. I feel a bit wary of the time crunch we will have otherwise. This lets us be able to adjust if something comes up in the next five turns. And it has been rare for us not to get an opportunity we want to do that is a single turn one. And going to the runelord convention will probably take an action or 2.

At some point, I want to see if we can use Branna Windsight as part of a search for apprentices action. If we keep doing large commissions, having apprentices is eventually helpful.

Don't forget that the "tools" also required a new Master rune, along with another also completely new non mater rune. So the reveal could go like this:
  • Master Rune of Purification
  • Adamant
  • Tools
    • Master Rune of Forgeflame
    • Rune of Annealing
  • Reproducible Gromril Chain
  • Mic drop

I'd rather just get started on our commissions than hope that doing x, y, or z first will provide a better result. They're already going to be the first group to get Gromril chainmail, and it's not like we'll never get a chance to use the opportunity to show off whatever we learn from our future research ever again. I'm also a pretty anxious person, and having stuff on my to-do list makes me nervous. Let's get stuff done so that our future action plans can be much more flexible!
 
My preference is do the commissions until the turn before the Conclave, then do the basket. When we go down to the conclave, we might meet Grungni and Valaya again so having both their projects done by then would be great. They might give us another project as well.
 
Seems kinda silly to do a runecraft commission for the Cult of Valaya without figuring out the runes personally given to us by their patron beforehand. Ergo:

I'm also curious what they would be, given Valaya is Valaya. She wouldn't have given us something that was a waste of time or effort.

And while it's 2 runes, that's two runes.
