rather not get any of those lions killed and start trouble.
other then that i see some oke plans out there.

Action plan if someone wanted to go for the gate and both wardens and maidens, while completing our commitments,

Turn 35
2 triage 2 gift (accept maiden)
Turn 36
4 free (3 Rune metal pt. 2b - 5/9(or 6/9 if the bonuses stack)) (1 mat) (4 actions on rune metal pt. 2b if the bonuses stack 8/9)
Turn 37
4 free (3 rune metal pt. 2b - 10/9(12/9 if stacks)) (1 mat) (accept Wardens and gate) (4 actions on rune metal pt. 2b if the bonuses stack 16/9)
Turn 38
3 (5) gate 1 free
Turn 39
4 (6) maidens
Turn 40
4 (6) maidens
Turn 41
Grave wardens 5 actions (8)
Turn 42
Grave wardens 3 actions (5) 2 free actions

The above plan is assuming we get our action back on run 41 not 40.
We could be rune metal pt. 2b done before even working on the gates and complete all the commisions besides this turns with the rune metal pt.2b done.
The rune metal might even be more actions if Journeyman of the Odd and Soul of the Earth proc seperatly (3 actions give 2 actions, and 2 actions give one, For a total bonus of 3 actions for 3 actions, giving a total of 12/9 if you spend 6 actions 3 per turn, if they stack and you assign 4 it gives 4 bonus actions which if works would make us only need 5 actions on the rune metal pt. 2b (4 on one turn (8 actions) then a spare action to finish it off)).

In a secluded forest clearing, the fading bellows of a Greedy Troll are slowly overcome by the bellicose warcries of a young Dawi woman.

"DIE! BY THUNGNI, DIE!" Karstah screamed, sending the hammer crashing down into the creature's chest for the fifth and final time, pulping its heart and sending its weakly grasping limbs falling to the earth lifelessly.

Wearily, she looks for even a single sign of life before she grabs a hatchet from her belt and uses it to separate the troll's head from its body for good measure. For what feels like an eternity she simply sits there, calming down her thundering chest and letting the adrenaline fade into a bone-deep weariness.

Despite her exhaustion, she does eventually get up from her position over its torso, and wipes the blood off of her face with a rag and a handful of untouched snow. She spends enough time to get most of the blood off of her face, using it to calm down further, before turning around to stare at her wagon and goats.

Around it, the bodies of several trolls lie dead while several of her goats bleat either in fear or pair around the clearing. The left side in its entirety and parts of the right have been melted by the acid of the dead trolls that litter the clearing. A part of her despairs while the rest methodically takes stock of her situation and formulates a plan, falling into a mindset her Master was careful to cultivate for times such as these.

Two goats wounded, the wagon's structural integrity heavily compromised and at least three weeks out from Kraka Drakk with half of my food stores spoiled. Check on metal stores and anvil, use available wood to enact enough repairs to get back. Trolls will have to be butchered for meat and the goats tended to.

Karstah huffs and grabs the troll's dismembered head by one of its many horns. She glares into the Greedy Troll's single glassy eye and drops it back down into the snow with a huff.

"I'm making Runes out of the useful parts and making jerky out of the rest of you, you rat bastard. It'll take more than that to get rid of Karstah of Clan Winterhearth," she mutters before hefting her axe and moving towards her animals.

It takes all of her willpower to stop from screaming in agony when she steps out with her left foot.

Broken leg, shock wearing off quickly. A splint will be required.

A thunderous "Bah!" fills the clearing, scaring off what few birds remind and dissuading a few more skittish wolves from trying their luck.
Poor Karstah. It certainly seems that her journeying has not started out well and she'll have some hurdles to overcome before continuing on. But, it will, hopefully, teach some valuable lessons and get her more accustomed to traveling through dangerous terrain by her lonesome. Rough lessons, but she's alive and will be turning those trolls into something useful.

I guess we'll have to wait for a bit to see where she lands in terms of getting her journeying done and settled.

--[] x3 Adamant
-[] [Difficult] A Princely Wedding Gift Pt.1: [Cost: 1 action] Due end of Turn 36. If a rune you want requires special ingredients that you don't have access to I will alert you. Apply optional Rune Ingredients here. Gain 100 Favour with Kraka Ravnsvake. --[] Accept

I know it's not gonna win, but it just doesn't sit right with me to only put in the minimum actions when it was arguably the talisman's failure that lead to this. Plus, it's been a while since we really went all-in on crafting a masterwork item, and it's only right that for something made using Adamant be worthy of the effort.

I'll edit this up a bit if people show interest.
Your missing the runes for Gimli.

So... I've not got any real suggestions, but I just noticed that (I think) if at some point we spent 4 actions in one turn on The Rune Metal pt.5, we could finish it because you would get the base 4 actions, plus 2 actions from Soul of Earth triggering twice, plus another 2 actions from Journeyman of the Odd. Alternatively, putting in 3 actions in one turn would leave it with just 2 left, which wouldn't be too bad either. I figure people already know this, but it seemed interesting to me, given that I found the Adamant stuff to be super fun and important, and that I feel like the next step on the rune metal quest line might even simplify its creation even more. (or alternatively it's going to show the basics of the next step in purification, which is probably more likely given the wording...)

I'm very tempted to do a major research action, but my conscience can't stomach letting the princess wait any longer than necessary.

Yeh, its been noted but myself and others are focused on other things at the moment. Feel free to make a plan of your own that does it if you wish :D

Oh, no, I fully agree. I just noticed it, and figured I should mention it just in case. It's not worth it this turn because it would be pretty terrible (I'd say evil personally) if we swore we'd help someone in debilitating pain then abandoned her to go do more research.

Oh no, I'm fairly fine with your plan. I just figured I should mention it just in case.

Yay!

Okay so based on thoughts that have been had previously by myself and @LightLan and @Jreengus here's my thinking on a plan:

[] Plan A Princess, A Future King, and Hopefully a Catbird
-[] [Difficult] Triage Pt. 2: [Cost: 2 action]. Productivity Like No Other will proc. Apply optional structural materials and any aesthetic changes here. Due end of Turn 37. Gain 80 Favour with Kraka Drakk and 1 Standing and 80 Favour +??? with Karak Ungor. Three limbs to be made, three items to craft. 2 Actions.

--[] Choose: Master Rune of Wandering, Rune of Impact (T3 Stonehorn Horns), Rune of Grimnir. Apply any suitable upgrades to the Rune of Grimnir.
-[] Zhufazul: [Cost: (4 -3) =1 actions] Journeyman of the Odd and Soul of the Earth will proc. The Liquid sits in warded kegs, ready to be poked and prodded at. Preliminary tests confirm it is not in fact some odd water, but something wholly different. Having undergone some no doubt maddening and downright foolish transmutation through the powers of perfidious magick. Harrumph. 1 Action.
-[] Dreng Them: [Cost: 1 retainer action] Can be taken multiple times. Additional actions add bonus modifier. The Hearth Guard will go out and slay [Write-in] monster. Gain mats, reputation and +2 bonus per action to Recruitment Dice.
--[ ] Peak Clearing: Gain Flying Monster Mats, -2 to Brana recruit threshold (1D20, DC20) for this turn's recruitment. While the Brana are perfectly willing to hunt and kill monsters themselves, they look kindly upon and welcome any Dawi who wish to aid them in clearing a particular mountain peak of monsters. A service they render in exchange for the food it provides, and in return the local Dawi are freed of pesky beasts that would bother or hurt them.
-[] ORDER: A White Lion corpse.
-[] [Simple] Armoured Maidens: [Cost: 12 actions] Due end of Turn 40. Productivity Like no Other will proc. Gain 70 Favour and 1 Standing with the Cult of Valaya. Snorri thinks another patron might be found by end of Turn 35.

OKAY! So, the idea here is to crank out the Triage action with three actions total into it, using the T4 Troll Heart on the Master Rune of Waking. Nothing else is really getting added there as nothing really needs additions.

So for Gimli's talisman I've pivoted to liking Jreengus's idea the most and am willing to give this an artists go. The idea here with the belt's physical structure is to evoke a champion among dawi and to remind Gimli of our speech to him about how to King, while serving as a reminder of home and using some snazzy materials on it. One bar of adamant goes to the three rune plates in the middle around the buckle area since I hold to the policy that stuff that goes on our royalty should be adamant if at all possible.

Now, the Runes, I'm drawing a lot on what Jreengus has said: The idea here is to evoke Grimnir's valiant charge, the sheer force with which he hits his enemies with a battle cry. The idea is to also evoke the impact of a meteor, whence Gimli manages to become King in several centuries time. Wandering is to evoke the idea of great speed over any terrain, like a bolt or meteor searing a path to its enemies without being impeded, Impact is for greater momentum and force of the strike, and then Grimnir is for battle acumen and fire as in Pyrestrike and the feeling of The Charge. The idea that when you charge, you are doing as Grimnir did.

I'm using Stonehorn Horns as upgrade for Impact because Impact is probably part of the Master Rune of Smiting and Stonehorns are known to charge and crush things with their big horns. Grimnir's rune I do want to upgrade, but want to leave it up to soulcake after thinking about it for any suitable upgrade mats. I forgot that we specify the ingredients as we do part 1 so sorry @Jreengus I was mistaken on that.

Then Zufazul with hopes of using it on Gimli's thing and because its generally useful in our armor commissions going forward.

Then I'm picking Dreng Them because I want that +2 to recruitment dice and a -2 to Brana DC because I want to try for getting @bird yells Nightfeather into the retinue because that is neat.

Then the order for a white lion corpse for later jiggery pokery.

I'm not picking any of the new available requests yet, they're not urgent yet. I'm not sure we'll be able to do Gate to the Sea but no harm if we can't there's good Runesmiths around for it.

E: Added in the Valaya Commission since I forgot.
Would it be possible to add something about the various unique Kraka Drakk materials into the belt somehow? Like have it studded with with the hearthstones, dronril, and silver wutroth?

While I'm normally one to argue for either production or research...

Nearly every Elf trading ship is going to be going through those gates... it Really needs to make an Impression on them.

@soulcake does the bonus's stack together? like would rune metal pt. 2b with 3 actions be 5 effective actions or 6? (one bonus give a bonus action per 2, and the other gives 2 bonus actions per 3)

...hmm...

@soulcake does Snorri think he could upgrade his old Adamant Smelters into Dragonblood Smelters? Without mucking with the Runes enough to trigger the Rule of Pride? As far as I can tell the Runes are the same, only the metal is different.

If commissions are going to pop up like this daily, I think we need to skip on the Gazul commission. We just are not going to have time to do everything and at this rate another interesting commission is going to pop up that'll conflict with that one. I'd rather do the gate than two armor ones back to back.

Also that smelter action. Whyyyyy you do this :(.

We've already been doing so IIRC. Could very well be wrong though.

I've added this to his thing: "The Pure Gromril plates are studded with Hearthstones and Dronril and images of Azrilwutroth and Dronwut are prominent in the imagery of the plates."

I didn't think directly adding pieces of wutroth wood to the belt made much aesthetic sense, but imagery of them works quite well I think.

Why on Earth would we want to?

They provide the transformation without expensive and rare regeants. Slower, yes, but also free of cost. Which is a pretty good bargain to beat.

I don't know what this means.
I will say that actions gained from traits will not double dip a proc, but multiple traits can proc on the same amount of applied actions.

Once a thing's done it's done, at least in this respect. The Smelter designs, while similar, have enough differences that you can't just make it work like the Dragonblood Smelter.

Eh, for all everyone keeps talking about the sea gate something that's mostly there to look impressive to some traders and provides us with some standing with a local hold seems a great deal less important than armoring the living ancestors of two of the ancestor god cults and gaining standing with them as their influence stretches across the entirety of Karaz Ankor. Like these are the guys who are going to be at the forefront of the coming waves of colonization and ensuring they have the best quality gear possible to protect those colonists and see as many Karaks founded as possible seems like a far better use of our time than just improving the quality of a sea gate for a single karak.

Its also worth noting that there's folks like Orra Wardmaker in the North who could be called on, and she is good at structure runes and defense which can be called on and King Villi isn't going to skrimp on this.

E: He's going to be thinking the same kind of things we are, so I'm not worried if we can't take it. He is going to try his hardest to find someone good for it.

Two armor requests back to back is not as interesting to me as one armor request and basically anything else. I don't really care about standing gains for the cults after a point tbh.

I honestly dont know why people are freaking out about the commisions since we have enough actions to do them all along with atleast rune metal pt.2b (the chain) and if we complete the gift this turn Valaya's runes.
Turn 35
2 triage 2 gift (accept maiden) (2 triage 1 gift)
Turn 36
4 actions on rune metal pt. 2b 8/9 (3 Rune metal pt. 2b - 6/9, 1 gift)
Turn 37
1 action rune metal pt.2b 9/9 and 3 actions on Valaya's Runes 5/6 (3 rune metal pt. 2b - 12/9, 1 free) (accept Wardens and gate)
Turn 38
3 (5) gate 1 Valya's runes 6/6 (1 free action)
Turn 39
4 (6) maidens
Turn 40
4 (6) maidens
Turn 41
Grave wardens 5 actions (8)
Turn 42
Grave wardens 3 actions (5) 1 action Skrundaz 1 free action
turn 43
At least one action skrundaz, Skrunaz complete on turn 43 which is 2 turns before it's due

the () actions for if a action wins were we dont put 2 actions in gift this turn
Basically We got the actions for Doing all the commissions and depending on this turn we could even get both the chain and valayas runes done before the maidens commission.

taking @BungieONI's plan but doing 2 actions on gift instead of doing mat research so those who want to squeeze in Valaya's runes and chain before doing the maidens request can vote for this one,

[] Plan A plan for being able to get all commisions along with chain research and Valaya's runes
