Thanks for saying that, GrimTheMad.
Mathilde has since read the Liber Mortis, and made use of some of the knowledge within- and still there hasn't even been an option of 'go on, try out the second secret, just see how it works'.
Technically, this thing has been here every turn.
[ ] The Second Secret of
Dhar teaches how to collapse it upon itself. Practice upon local
Dhar taint, and very cautiously see if this works with Warpstone.
But. I don't think it's garnered a single vote outside of, presumably, the very early first times it first showed up? (I'm guessing a bit based on memory and speculation of likely events; I'm guessing that, when this first first showed up, maybe a few people tried to include plans for it. But after it did not get off the ground in a turn or two, it just... died fully and completely. And so that was the end of it.) Afterwards, after that early stage when we first finished reading the Liber Mortis, I doubt anybody's ever ran a plan that included Dhar practice since.
But, yeah. Right now, I figure Mathilde is probably more worried about having the Liber Mortis and worrying about the potential future where she might fall and use it... than she is actually tempted to ever use it.
i.e. It weighs on your mind not for using. But you worrying about falling or fucking up or something. Not a sign of temptation, but a sign of stress, doubt, or worry. That sort of 'I have great power in my hands. What if I fuck it up at some point?'
Insomuch as there's an undercurrent, its really more of an undertrickle. Maybe an underdrip. Its at the level of invasive thoughts, if even that.
Yeah. Something at the level of 'secret fears and worries in the night, that, what if one day you go mad or vengeful or something and...' and so on and so forth.
