"Laaater!" Kazumi says cheerfully, and signs off.

This line made me realize that PMAS Kazumi is basically if Kirika was a leader. Oh god. :V

You say that but there's a nonzero chance Saotome-sensei broke up with somebody because she learned they were a furry and spent the first 30 minutes of class telling her students about it.

Nah, he left her when he learned she was a furry obviously. :V

[Q]if we give our friends fursonas, what animal would they each be??
Mami is a dog. I'm not entirely sure what kind of dog, but she's beautiful, smart, and at the risk of being depressing really super doesn't want people to leave her.

Sayaka is a fish. Partly because of her witch form but mostly just because.

Homura is a cat. A battered underfed mean looking cat that is actually super sweet and awesome and should be taken care of.

Kyubey is also a cat (and also not our friend). It's a very nice looking cat that's actually a giant asshole.

Madoka is a lamb (messiah archetype intensifies)

Sabrina... could be a lot of things. I'm going to go with a very dopy dog that's also somehow very smart.

There are other people. Who presumably have fursonas or something. Why did I do this.

She's obviously a crow.

Not even just because of Feathers, crows are very smart animals. Much nicer to be around than, say magpies, despite a bad reputation.
That actually makes a lot of sense. Add that to the fact that the crow traditionally represents both good and bad things. Magic and life but also death and bad luck. Along with being very intelligent and very social.

Right, so, at this point if we could avoid going from unintentional derpiness to inadvertently and indirectly calling Mami a bitch IC, that'd be great. This went from dumb to funny to "what the fuck Sabrina" IC to this and I think now I will be the killjoy and suggest that we should emphatically not keep going and seeing what happens.

I was just going for animal archtypes and didn't actually make the connection. Also I'm not... entirely clear on what precisely is upsetting. But sure I'll stop.

On the other hand, we can Gizoogle our speech into calling Mami the best bitch ever. This is an absolutely amazing idea that won't blow up in our face horribly, full thrusters ahead!

Speaking as a dog owner, I feel that being compared to a dog is a straight compliment, and something I do to friends and family when they have been superlative in some way. Reading 'Mami is awful human' in 'Mami is like pupper' is an extreme reach.

How about we not? Let's just skip this whole... this.
Agreed.
"Ah. Miss Toshimichi? She is... mm. Interesting," Yuki says.

"If you mean the total dearth of information about her, even from people who've met her...?" you say. "Yeah. On that note, we're trying to prepare mental defense enchantments right now."

"Wise," Yuki says. "That would be my guess, too. I assume you're inviting me to join the meeting, to form a coalition of sorts?"
I laughed at this. Something about the delivery. "Yeah, it's pretty weird how nobody knows nothing at all about her. Completely unrelated, we're going to the meeting loaded for illithid. Want to join?"
"Ah," Mami says, grimacing. "It seems it doesn't work, unfortunately."

"Be nice, Sayaka," Madoka says from the sofa.

Sayaka snickers. "No, no, it does work. I think. I'm not sure I'm using this power correctly?"

"... oh," Mami says, and blushes. You laugh, hugging her close.
Mami can take a tiny bit of a joke!

Also, Madoka instantly recognizing trolling.
It sounds like something you might say, Sayaka."
Not just "It sounds like something that someone from your game would say", no. It does sound kind of Sayaka-ish, doesn't it?

...Note to self: Find an excuse to set her up with a suit of power armor. Can we engineer a costume party? Or any reason why she'd need to be in disguise? Hmmm.

EDIT: Got it. Next time we take her to Kyouko to spar, drop her in full armor. Not necessarily a power she copied, but friendship is a superpower nonetheless!

EDIT EDIT: Or maybe I shouldn't be trying to come up with ways to help Sayaka yes bulli the Kyouko...
Madoka giggles, clapping her hands. "Do they know you call them that, Sabrina?"
Madoka's internal monologue right now: "Shipshipshipshipship-"

Speaking of reading minds, since Grief is someone else's despair, do you think we can we use Grief in a magical girl's soul gem to figure out what if making them miserable?

My intuition is that if we took grief from one magical girl (MG #1) and then shoved it in a second magical girl (MG #2)'s gem they'd be sad about the things that trouble MG #2, not the things that trouble MG #1. (THIS IS JUST A THOUGHT EXPERIMENT, NOT A PLAN OF ACTION)

As such grief itself wouldn't carry the information of what was making someone sad, that all remains in the soul.

Huh.
Apropos of nothing, Emperor Akihito appears to have abdicated in favor of his son two days ago.

There's a tasteless joke about Empress Mami Tomoe, the supreme vanquisher of Walpurgisnacht somewhere in here, if anyone cares to make it.

[X] Suggestion: Sayaka might want to use Kazumi's power to copy the enchantment booster.
[x] Continue enchanting as per previously locked in votes.
[x] If Homura doesn't object, work on that written report with her in timestop before dinner.
-[x] You want Hitomi to have time to discuss it before she has to leave.
-[x] Working on it together with Homura, instead of presenting it to her at the end, means you can work over differences and take the time to explain how you think Madoka thinks.
-[x] Make a copy for Hitomi to take home. Who knows, maybe her mom will be interested too.
[X] What do you do after during downtime?
-[x] Brainstorm over Tokyo with Madoka and Hitomi
[x] Dinner!

Okay, it's small, but I think this is a necessary structural change, simply because we can't exactly brainstorm with Hitomi after she's left. It also makes dinner a natural stopping point for the vote, and leaves stuff for post-dinner actions, allowing us to stick to the day plan a bit, even if we don't include that other stuff in the vote just yet.

@Firnagzen, in the interest of clarity, what do you have locked in for the enchantment session right now?
