Understandable and unfortunate. I was hoping we could just have Madoka use the cloning power and bring along a clone. Maybe we should see if any Meguca's can clone other people and get Sayaka to copy that one.

Only thing I have to add to this is the "get Mami to talk to Homura" thing... We probably want to tell Sayaka to come to us before Homura if/when time travel (@Vebyast). Other than that... How many days to WPN?

OH, fuck, right, we still have to ask about last loop. Pencil that in for tomorrow please >_>

I can agree that having Mami confirm her friendship with Homura would be valuable. What time would be best to do it?

The options I see are Friday evening while we're away with Sayaka and Kyouko after school, or on Saturday morning when we're doing shopping and can invite Homura.

E: Oh shit, I almost forgot - we definetly want to fill in Oriko and Kirika on the results of our Tokyo trip, and get Oriko's opinions on how to handle things too.

Morning:
• Meet with the Fukushima Mercenaries.
• Discuss dewitching progress.
• Try to therapy Airi.
• Discuss Tokyo in more detail.
• Have Fukushima share their general "contacts list".
• Prep for the Sojous with them?​
• Meet with the other Fukushima Groups, distribute Clear Seeds.
• Contact, Ishinomaki, Sendai, Tohoku, Tome, Hozuki. Ensure Sunday visit is on track.

Lunch:
• Have fun with our friends.
• Timestop chat with Homura.
• Ask about last loop.

Afternoon:
• Check the Shiogama refugees Witchbomb status. Introduce them to the Animators.
• Ensure our locals are warned about the Sojou sisters.
• Talk to Oriko and Kirika about Tokyo politics.
• Additional dewitching science.
• Figure out the deal with Feathers.
• Sayaka will probably make her decision about the secret by this point.
• Check on Sasa?

After School:
• Go with Sayaka to Kyouko's training.
• Try to clear the air with Kyouko in general.

• Go shopping with Mami and Homura.
• Have Mami confirm that she's Homura's friend.

• Time permitting, make a trip to Kyoto and Kyushu.

• Meeting with the Shizuki's.

• Involve Tome too. Potentially visit Hozuki?

We also said we'd be back on #milesgloriosus when we contacted them yesterday. We should give them our email address, and speaking of that we should also check our email.

By the way, just to explicitly confirm, we're planning on not contacting the as-of-yet unnamed potentials we've sensed in the schools because it may increase their contract chances, correct? Or will we contact them after the Souju sisters are dealt with?

Oriko confirmed that they don't contract in any likely timeline. We could double check, I suppose, but we have so many other things to do that the time investment probably isn't worth it.

Not currently in the headspace for detailed analysis but one thing to consider is that when we're out of town? That is when Kyuubey and Feathers will choose to strike.

As such it may be worth seeing if we can plan things around all that in order to circumvent such things occurring. (I've considered just bringing Oriko and Kirika with us for such things but that would mix poorly with bringing Homura with us for the same reasons.)

Also yes, tempted to put in a morning routine here too (Feed Aurora, check emails, watch news, etc.)

Then she goes into numerous other theories, from time travel to the "someone wished for Kuroki" theory. Whether that's a mirror of how we go on massive hypothesis multiplication, or because she could comfortably keep the first answer in her mind and needed to tell herself something happier I can't tell.

In related news, I don't remember if I ever raised the point before, but that does make Kyuubey's note when we asked if he could connect us to Kuroki that he could connect us, but would not... interesting

Making the fairly reasonable assumption that Kuroki witched out and became Albertine, then either Kyuubey just revealed he is capable of putting us in telepathic contact with a witch, or he is eliding that part of the question and only answering in regards to Noa.

A better solution in my opinion would be tactfully encouraging Tomohisa and Junko to mother-hen Homura a bit, and get her to watch Madoka from inside the house. Harder to arrange, but Homura sitting outside in a tree every night doesn't sit right by me.

Not a great idea. We don't know how hard it is to hit Sayaka's mind though a clone, and the risk is not purely immediately physical anyway; we don't want Madoka becoming a target in general, and we don't want her to see anything horrible enough that she decides she needs to do something about it. Plus it'd freak Homura out, and that's something we should avoid in and of itself. Baby steps.

Not come to us before Homura - come to us or Homura before going to Madoka or anyone else. I actually feel like it might be a win if Sayaka goes to Homura before us, though I'm not sure.

We already know that this is not true. During the last discussion I quoted Oriko on the topic. Kyubey strikes as walpy rises, attempting to cause maximum disruption right in the middle of the fight when we have to split our attention. I believe that you argued that Sayaka could hold Homura long enough that we didn't need to be standing next to her 24/7. If we get word from Sayaka that Kyubey is fucking with Homura, we shift all but our gem into hammerspace, pull a few hundred gee, and be by her side in thirty seconds from anywhere in the country.

And, well. Homura being potentialbombed would be bad, and we'd definitely drop everything to go comfort her, but she doesn't exactly instantly witch out because of it even in canon PMMM.

In PMAS, with extra support and far more reason to believe this will be the final timeline...

On the other hand if she actually did witch out last timeline because of it and got dewitched by Madoka then the potentialbomb could be the thread that unravels whatever mindwhammie that prevents her from remembering turning into a witch.
 
Considering how little the thread gets why Homura responds poorly to the Potentialbomb in the first place, perhaps we should avoid building castles on sand in our planning here.

I was planning on having it done tonight following dinner. There's an empty timeslot there... depends on Mami's homework load to some extent, but if we assume dinner is at 6, then I think there should be plenty of room. Just ask Homura to stick around after dinner. It works nicely.

I mean, certainly doing so "as Walpurgisnacht approaches", because that's when Oriko foresaw her death.

But regarding the Potentialbomb, well, the danger of it isn't in Homura witching out. It's in horrible psychological damage that will likely result in catastrophic wish-rejection and all manner of "Homura is now about as much of a mess as Mami was post-lichbomb, but expressed differently", and so long as we continue to simply dismiss it as "an illogical response" we'll have no chance of actually fixing it (or better, preventing it).
