@PoptartProdigy Can Kakara withdraw her Ki after infusing it into someone? Can she do so at range? Does she think it would be possible to make someone calibrated for fighting at a certain PL overbalance by changing that PL?

[X] I have a different idea in mind,

I would like for Kakara to every now and again have a moment of introspection, during which we can plan our training schedule proactively, acting not reacting.

The form this takes i think would be something along the lines of 2-3 high priority slots,

4-6 medium priority slots, unlimited low priority slots.

High priority training slots are those that will be completed.

Medium priority slots are those that can be completed provided the story allows for it.

Low priority slots is where we stuff everything else, it will only be completed if everything else has completed.

I would also like this:

[X] Highlight skill improvements at the end of the chapter, whether they lead to the skill being bumped up or not.'

I'm going to give some thought to the voting for plan appreciation, but I do have one thing I want to remind everyone of.

Kakara Hates Fighting.

Both of the 'default' [][Plan]s involve directly getting into combat, and having to end the combat quickly. That is dead simple if you make the other guys dead, given the power disparity.

It is NOT so simple when you are trying not to kill people.

Also, recall that the last time a plan involved 'sneak attack!' it ended up with Kakara having such a severe crisis of morality that it almost crippled her. Yes, things have changed now, but she's still the person who hates violence.

I wonder if Bassoon can use some form of illusion to evade these guys? Or maybe scramble their communications, to reduce the time limit until they get more support.

Also, I would like to remind everyone that space ships are NOT tougher than planets. This means that any one of these guys could damage/destroy the ship at any point. So any combat near the ship is risky.

Honestly, I'm not sure why they haven't just ripped the engines off already, as a precaution.

The issue was that Jaffur defaults to lethal force so we should be ok.

. To put it into perspective, the gap between most of these fighters and Bassoon is more than the gap between a new SSj and a FPSSj, and thus more than the gap between Yammar and house Talt
By which you mean in terms of how many times stronger he is, rather than absolute power difference, right? Because your phrasing implies the latter, but even though I don't remember what base Super Sayajin was mechanised as I'm pretty sure the difference there is larger than Basson's total power level.

Kakara still doesn't enjoy fighting, but she is now willing to think of violence as an acceptable form of problem-solving when faced with violent hostility. This is counterbalanced by a sterner devotion to personal non-lethality than she ever had to non-violence.

[X] I enjoy the new format.
-[X] I also enjoyed the old one, and most favor a balance of the two depending on circumstance - both because different approaches better suit different situations, and because variety is the spice of questing IMO.

As for the vote, I'm leaning toward quickly incapacitating the strong foe before confronting the others, because doing otherwise dramatically raises the chance of backup being called in to this specific location before we can resolve things. Sure, the refugees will eventually notice a team failing to report in, but from the sound of this line...
"I'm going to call the boss," he says, getting closer to the door. "See if you can't crack that thing open!"

...they're not in constant communication & this team has to contact their superiors from another location (for one reason or another).

Relative power is the relevant stat. Why would I be concerned with absolute power difference when it doesn't matter?

[X][PLAN] Attack the strong one coming your way and take him out of the fight before the others can react. Then it'll be an easy fight.

What's the relative-power differential and what's its effect on the combat rolls?

[X] I miss AP, but am not sure yearly planning is the best way to implement them.

[X][PLAN] Let this guy pass you, get past him, and take down the weaker ones. Then you can fight him without distraction.

[joke] Walk up behind them, "Hey guys, whaddya doin?"

Eh, guess I'll throw my entirely unnecessary support behind this option 'cause as I stated before it seems like the best plan to me.
