The only question I really have is if a knife could actually work. You don't need a very high power level for bullets to be useless, and I'd expect it would be a bit difficult to resist the instinct to raise your power level to the degree that you don't get past the point where knifes can't hurt you.

Would make an interesting scene. Going to make the cut expecting it to be quick and easy, but when he draws the blade across his flesh it can't break the skin and he drops the knife in shock over what he just tried to do.
I mean, swords can work, so in principle you can kill someone at a high power level with a knife. Not sure Jaron possesses the relevant skills, mind.

This might have been Sophie's concern, I think she's the closest to Jaron to know something....we should bring the Misfits in to help keep an eye out.

[X] It's unlikely, but the Sealing could turn messy. Now that you know the kinds of things of which Dandeer is capable, you want to get the Misfits under cover, when the time comes. The issue is: realistically, this would involve giving them a fair amount of information on what's happening. Not all of it, but enough that they'd accept protection, even when you specifically exclude Jaron. Maya already knows enough that she'd figure it out. Gemma is smart enough that she might draw some conclusions, too.

I know this is probably unnecessary, but after the whole thing with the sorcerers, I'm really afraid of what Dandeer might decide to do. If it's not necessary, it's a waste of an action, but I'm willing to risk that.

[X] Jaffur intends to kill his mother. His recent terror for Jaron's sake only heightens his anger. You're worried that he'll blow the plan by going straight for Dandeer's throat the moment the Seal drops. Visit him again and talk to him. Try to convince him to stick to the plan.

More preparation for the Unsealing. Jaffur attacking Dandeer will likely not be mentally healthy for either him or Jaron, and might also cause problems with Berra in addition to whatever defenses Dandeer might have (personally I'm way more worried about the potential political fallout than I'm afraid of Dandeer being able of pulling out some sorcery, though).

..As for the third action, I don't really know what to vote for, though I'm leaning for either something to help Jaron (but I don't know what) or meditation.

[X] You have juice for another vision coming up. Time to cash in. [How best to approach the Unsealing to lead to a resolution Kakara would like]
Objection: we're fighting a mind controller. Would prefer something like this:
[] You have juice for another vision coming up. Time to cash in. [How best to approach the Unsealing to lead to a resolution Kakara would currently like]

A bunch of seers have already concluded that the Unsealing will go well, so I doubt Kakara will get any new information, even Dandeer if is using magic to somehow mess with the Sight.

@PoptartProdigy Do those votes meaningfully differ?

Kakara wouldn't be looking for if it'll turn out well, though: She'll be looking for how to have an end to this she would like.

I don't think so? It seems like Sophie wants to learn something from the wording of her option.

Assuming that its not neurochemical. dammit dandeer, having someone built to love you and telling them that anything that seems wrong about their relationship is because he's bad is bound to mess someone up.

Uhhh... visiting Jaffur takes Sight juice, and having visions takes Sight juice. Do these two options interfere with each other, @PoptartProdigy ?

We already know ki users can turn their power level down to baseline human, and we already know that a ki user can keep their power level turned on and still turn their defensive reinforcement off- that's how Dandeer busted herself up so that she could falsely accuse Jaffur of having assaulted her, remember?

If a ki user actually wanted to kill himself that way, turning off the force field keeping a knife from cutting his throat would be the first thing he'd do.

I know this is probably unnecessary, but after the whole thing with the sorcerers, I'm really afraid of what Dandeer might decide to do. If it's not necessary, it's a waste of an action, but I'm willing to risk that.
To be fair, the Misfits are probably the only people Dandeer knows of, who we care about, who don't have really first-rate superpowers capable of defending them against attack, or a superpowered relative.

I mean, everyone Dandeer knows she could really intimidate us by taking as a hostage is either a fairly strong saiyan, one of our immediate family (who are related to two super-saiyans besides us)... or a Misfit.

A bunch of seers have already concluded that the Unsealing will go well, so I doubt Kakara will get any new information, even Dandeer if is using magic to somehow mess with the Sight.
Kakara has a more intimately personal connection to her own desired outcomes than anyone else. She may be in a unique position to gather information. Sort of like how she was uniquely able to gain information about Dazarel's visit, as I recall, because unlike any of the other seers she was going to be personally fighting the thing.

Pretty sure she used magic to do it, given the way the scene sent down.

[x] Spend time with your saiyan friends. Things are about to change in a big way. This might be your last chance to see them in an informal setting for a very long time.

"...you just keep saving us," whispers Jaffur.

You close your eyes again. "I don't even know how it keeps happening. I'm just...always there."

Iiiiiiiinteresting. I wonder what this might mean...

From a Doylist perspective, it seems relatively unlikely (though I could be mistaken here) that Poptart would pull something like "and then Jaron/Jaffur died offscreen due to circumstances of which you were unaware" out of the blue on us - that sort of thing can absolutely happen in reality, but doesn't seem in line with the tone of this quest so far. Now ordinarily, this could just be written off as reasonably-plausible coincidences serving the needs of the story. However, the fact that characters have made observation of this trend in-universe suggests to me that some Watsonian explanation may also be at play. Possibly auxiliary powers related to Kakara's Sight, possibly timeline shenanigans, possibly some direct manifestation of narrative causality (probably not that one), possibly something else entirely. Or maybe it really is just coincidence.

Whatever it is, though, it seems like it would be good to find out. Probably not right now. We're pressed for time with the Unsealing coming up. But something to bear in mind for later.

Nothing fancy. Keep yourself centered and make sure the two stars of the show are going as planned

I'd like to help Jaron as much as possible, but I think making sure the Unsealing goes as smoothly as we can make it is the best way to do that. Smothering him with "support" could actually make things worse, and may seem suspicious to Dandeer.

Okay, you may be right. At the same time, people can just lower their power level. Ki power doesn't automatically flare defensively to protect you if your defenses are down, as demonstrated by one of Krillin's greatest successes, admittedly an unintended success, at inflicting harm on someone of drastically higher power level.
