Tsubaki visiting us is a good idea: it gets around the schedule problem. However, she might be uncomfortable doing so, seeing as she doesn't really know us. And as Nadia has said before, there have been past Grief manipulators who tended to lure people into, well, traps. So I'd let her choose whether she wants to visit and get cleansed early, or play it safe with the stranger and meet up on her territory instead.
 
In case anyone's wondering, I'm fully expecting us to call Tsubaki. Just need to get Hijiri out of the way first; that should take more than one vote.

Just to confirm, though, the leading vote(s) do not inform Oriko and Kirika about the relocation and tracking arrangements. However, automatic actions (which can be countermanded if by specific vote) include: sending Yuki a scanned copy of the defense pact and making an order for the tracking device. And also Homura's testing.

It seems fairly likely that Law Enforcement will be trying to track the phone of a teenage runaway. This might cause us issues. Not insurmountable ones, but something to keep in mind.

Not timeskipping to tomorrow makes this acceptable to me. Means we can still telepathy Tsubaki today, and we can put more detail into the vote than just 'contact tsubaki and offer cleanses'.
 
BTW, we won't actaully know what's in Hisaomi's diary until Sadness Prayer 4 gets translated (official release date is september 19, this year), but this is what we know about it, as a reminder:

(Oh, that's why I assumed Oriko's mom had died when Oriko was three, in my sleep addled state.)

In this panel:
Oriko bumps into her uncle (her father's brother) and confirms they haven't seen each other since her mom died, eight years before.

Assuming Oriko's age at around 15, this means her mom died when she was 7.

Near the end of the volume three, while Oriko's freaking out over her visions, Kirika finds Hisaomi's journal. The pages she opens contain notes about Oriko's 7-5-3 and about picking up Yurako (his wife, Oriko's mom)'s parents at a station.


Then, what follows after the two next pages showing Oriko freaking out in despair:



... Kirika declaring Hisaomi as 'Oriko enemy'.

For a manga that likes to drop subtle hints all around the place, this is pretty damn blatant.

So about telling Kirika about the diary.

My original plan was what I had happen in omakeland (man was that shit rushed :p ). To tell Kirika about it in private, next time we visited.

I'm not certain about what bad things could happen from doing this through telepathy, but the only dangers of waiting until next time we visit O&K that I can see are:

- This leaves a window of time in which Oriko could randomly find the diary (unlikely).
- We might up and forget.

I think we could save the 'forget' part by asking Kirika to talk in private next time we visit, we can even say we want to chat about how our respective dates went (and do it, too :p ), then even if we forget, Kirika should remind us to talk in private.

Yeah, this is important: I'm not sure we can tell Kirika about the diary over telepathy without massively tipping off Kyuubey as to the nature of our metaknowledge.

I don't think Kyubey can glean anything new about our metaknowledge from this. We haven't exactly been private about what kind of things we know from metaknowledge. We've talked about witches that are yet to show up over telepathy, for example. And we've talked about the Pleiades Saints without a privacy sphere, and considering a fair few of us were there, there's a good chance Kyubey was listening in.

I'd be more worried about the possibility of Kyubey realizing that Hisaomi's diary contents could be harmful to Oriko, and simply informing her of the contents himself. I don't think this is a likely occurence, though I think it's more likely than Oriko just happening to find the diary before tomorrow.

Yeah, I think Hijiri would interpret this as 'hey you should meet up with me in person. so we can catch you.'


On a side note, we don't HAVE to do the O&K stuff right now. We can just tell them over telepathy 'I'll be coming over tomorrow to discuss the new arrangements'. And then we can do the Kirika diary stuff and whatnot as well.

EDIT: I will make sure we don't forget about the diary, Onmur. xD

While the chances of Oriko randomly finding her father's diary are low, usually, wouldn't telling her about the fact we're relocating her be just the kind of thing that could, you know, prompt her to check her father's office one last time, maybe reminisce with Kirika, grab a photo album that's lying arond there and oops, look there's a diary.
 
Now I'm wondering if we should push off the SCIENCE for later. It would be better to deal with the time sensitive stuff first and experiment later.

Good point. So either we hold off on telling them the details till tomorrow when we meet up with them in person, or we inform Kirika about the diary over telepathy right now. We must do at least one of those two.

I think consensus is on do not talk about diaries over telepathy.

In a way, I think it works... it would be nicer to tell O&K about relocation in person... even though it means waiting on it?
