The issue is we have a finite amount of mitigation we can do and are losing mitigation over time as tiberium mutates, which means at some point in the future it will turn the planet into all red zone. So the better we roll now, the more we push it back now the longer it takes when things swing the other way giving us more time to find a solution.
I imagine for game length we might get a research that affects the amount of mitigation we get from choices. Its not like we get save states so if the game ends it ends.
Worst comes to worse by the time the really bad stuff happens our orbital's may be able to sustain a relevant population to keep the game going.

Or maybe that's what Kane wants you to think because the person on discord is actually Kane's puppet! And the QM is also controlled by Kane to say that AP isn't Kane to further throw people off the trail!
We can't be too sure because Kane is everywhere and extra paranoia is warranted. Can't discount the possibility Kane can break through the 4th wall and have true believers in real life.
(But for real though, AP's writer is doing a good job. But Kane has better things to do than to shitpost in a recognizable fashion on purpose.)

Beyond that, the person who writes AP has stated they write him as someone who enjoys purple prose, and has not given any statements beyond that. Take those posts as nothing more than the opining of a well-read civilian who has an appreciation for the good, non-military works that GDI has accomplished with the leadership of Granger and now Seo.
I've been going under the assumption that the one guy in the dominion party that hates our guts is Kane.
I can't see anyway for that to actually make sense, but it brings me a constant source of amusement to picture Kane sitting all the way in the back of parliament booing at everything we do.
As someone voting for the losing plan with some vocal criticisms of the leading plan, nah, I think the lead is commanding enough that it's fine to roll. I'd be perfectly happy to just take the L and get on with the results if you wanted to roll.
