Here's the thing:

I know some people have mentioned that we might lose the MS options once this particular director retires, but if Seo gets the big chair, there's zero guarantee that his successor at the Treasury will give any fucks about funding the type of SCIENCE! Seo likes. So he might get in the big chair, and MS options vanish anyhow. And that's if the new Director doesn't allow Seo to still do the MS options.

Also, we've been making a new tradition and culture within the Treasury. If we have Seo follow Granger's lead in not going for the big chair, we work on setting a tradition that the Treasury seat is not a path to the Director's chair. If you want the Director's chair, go for it. If you want Treasury, go for it. But not both.

We need a firm hand at the Treasury, and a firm hand in the Director's Chair. If Seo goes for the big chair and wins, we end up with neither for a time as he has to transition and get settled in as Director while a new head of Treasury is having to get settled in there at the same time. Carter will provide that firm hand in the big chair, while we keep things smooth from the Treasury side during the transition/familiarization period.

Ok, Karachi is looking good. At this point, we're up to 532 progress, so we can put 3 Inf + 1 Tib on it next turn and complete it more or less (97% chance according to AnyDie). We can fit the remaining 2 dice onto Post-War Refits, and get an 89.25% chance of polishing that off as well (Phase 3 at 30/150).

Aberdeen will finish with an omake bonus. Bergen is on the verge of completion - it might even do so depending on the crit. All the MARVs are done and that takes our Red Abatement goal off the board. Caravel Shipyard is done... Things are looking swell.
