Figuring out what you do think the definitions of those terms are has been quite a trip and I'm still working on it, honestly, but I'm quite sure the rest of the thread here doesn't know either.

So you might as well not bother going on like this, until you're prepared to use language the same way everyone else does.

Sure the GDI is now left leaning but is culture and structures mean its government will not fit our political ideals perfectly no matter how much we want,we are playing a nation already built with its ethos strong stablished

My point was precisely that corporations would not pursue Yellow Zone agriculture and extensive water purification programs, and we are, even if apparently not as fast as you would like bearing in mind that we have a ton of other things to do too.

How so? That's at least part of the point behind Grants. A, giving out capital for people to start up businesses Since as the government, we're one of the largest current holders of capital reserves. And B, subsiding unprofitable or less profitable industries to incentivise businesses to engage in commerce in less favourable markets.

We've also been working actively to resolve other needs of the "Green Zone" (GDI-controlled Yellow Zone territory) residents in the interim, such as providing jobs and industry, constructing housing in the form of arcologies, and pushing back Nod. Our investments in the Yellow Zones could be larger (there's been a roughly 2.5-year hiatus since we did an expansion of Yellow Zone Aquaponics, not least because we were bottlenecked by the available water resources, though that in turn was fed by a bunch of pipeline construction we did in early 2054).

The point, though, is that you're going "why doesn't the thread care about this" when the thread is juggling a lot of mutually exclusive priorities and on an eternally tight resource budget and has in fact done quite a bit to improve living conditions and food/water security in the Green Zone territories it holds, to the point where Green Zone voters are very reliably pro-Treasury at this point even if they do continue to seek to extract further concessions from us because of course they do, why wouldn't they and who would blame them aside from Initiative First?

While the progression of the vote has made this largely moot, I oppose further expansion of Chicago at this time. Chicago project phases have become very expensive resource commitments (approximately 9 dice at 20 R per die), and it's debateable whether they're cost-effective.

I will say, that specifically regarding chicago. It's partly in that after our protoge visited it I don't want to then mess up by leaving it ignored. That would be a bit of a political mis-step IMO. Jetting in for the photo op then ignoring it rather than giving what they need. So I'd like to put at least one dice worth of regular investment into chicago. As for the other mil stuff I'm trying to simply tick off projects, probably being overzealous, but I want to give the military something now, rather than more later. Though admittedly, yes, forgetting the missiles was an oopsie.

As long as Long Range Sensor System Deployment and Universal Rocket Launch System Deployment complete, we will be fine. As long as they can be use by whatever hardware GDI is using and don't need Bulldog or other new hardware. I think we will need Shell plants Phase 4 for the next time Nod come calling, it will be stomp instead of battle.

And some of us don't. Because discourse and compromise are cornerstones in the proper world of politics. Democracy is not simply about voting, it is about compromise. If one is not prepared to do so, then one should not engage in the first place.

Nat 1 on Mecca... Well, that's about as far from an auspicious start as it gets.

EDIT: Oh jesus fuck those are some awful Rocketry rolls. Time for another 4-5 dice on that to get it done next turn fast before the supply situation collapses.

Okay so... I'm not sure how the rolls specifically were on average. But the stuff we really needed to roll well (URLS) rolled poorly, and Mecca got a Nat 1. Which... probably means nasty things for the whole project given the delicate diplomatic situation there.
 
So, since the Tiberium Encroachment roller refused to also roll for Tiberium Mutation, who was elected to be the (sacrifice) roller for that roll? I'd volunteer, but I found my previous dice luck performance to be too average in results for another attempt. Who's feeling lucky?
