The limits are as follows:

First submittal from an omaker is always a d100.
1 d100 (in total across all non-first-time omakers) Visitor techs/year
2 d50 Visitor techs/year
2 d100 Nod techs/year
infinite d50 Nod tech/year

We get plus 5 on these rolls right?

So 47 and 96 in scrin. Nice. That 96 is the highest one we've had besides portals.

And I realized another reason I want to research the military particle beams. They were higher on the tech tree than lasers.

There is probably something good there since we got it from a roll of 98!

That's true, but we haven't actually been given a project from the 98 yet. The current one if from the 56(?) Charged Particle Beams.
Huh...

My mistake then. Thanks for the correction.

Hmm...

I wonder if having the lower leveled one researched would provide bonuses to the more advanced one? Have it show up faster or let it have greater impact or something.

My understanding in this case is that we have to do the lower level one to unlock the more advanced one but take that with a grain of salt because I could have misread things.

As a reminder, Ithillid is taking submissions for the Sequel Quest codex here! if you want to take a shot at putting your 2 cents into the world (and help out the QM!) you're welcome to add to the 10 extant submissions!

I just hope the 96 is a refining or Tiberium control technology.
I'm afraid not, it's Particle Shields. The funny thing is if you subtracted 2, you'd get Advanced Tiberium Refining, and if you added 2 you'd get Advanced Tiberium Inhibitors.

Please don't spoil any numbers that haven't been rolled.

That kinda spoils the mystery and makes us want specific numbers to be rolled instead of being happy with whatever we get.

Operation Athens (mod)
Commander.
Intelligence Operations has a new assignment for you, codenamed 'Operation Athens'. An opportunity has arisen to 'liberate' a group of bioscientists from the Bannerjees. While most are being retreived by another operation nearby your task is to rescue Dr Abhi Bajpai from a smaller facility to which he has been moved. He has been our inside man in the preparation of this operation and so should be entirely cooperative. Fortunately the Nod facility is second rate, as they plan to move the scientists elsewhere soon. The units are largely local militia without communications devices, however there are a number of towers containing radios and a QRF that will respond if they spot the commando. Engage hostile infantry at will but beware vehicles and do not get too close to the towers. We believe the Doctor to be in the northern end of the facility. He will be carrying a briefcase
Good luck Commander

(Based on the operation which got us Dinesh Bora. It's a small mod but I've never made one before)

MightbeaMimic threw 1 100-faced dice. Reason: Gacha Total: 59
59 59

59 went up to 66 because of Seo bonus and previously grabbed gacha techs.

66 is 'Scrin Articulation'
No other details as yet but it sounds like something that could be really good for prosthetics and factory machinery on the light end, maybe mechs on the heavy end

It seems the will of the dice gods that we really are gonna have the best Mechs out there aren't we ? , like we already have slow twitch myomere mussels , we got a nod tech for fast twitch myomere mussels and now we have Scrin Articulation pretty much setting up our future battlemech corps to be really intersting , add in ezzo in the future to reduce weight and mass related concerns ....

We will also have kick-ass seafood. :p

And, hell, the microfusion reactors may turn out to be scalable to something that can power a mech, once we get to work.

Battletech cosplay go!

'Scrin Articulation' might enable us to upgrade our harvesters to use flexible tentacles instead of rigid cylinders.

Every time we get a new breakthrough tech I'm just burning with curiosity about what else could be on the list.

Assuming we survive, sequel humanity is going to be a crazy powerhouse between humanity's native innovations, Kane's half-remembered Bentusaar tech adapted into human scale, and a bunch of outright looted Visitor tech that in many instances is being used right out of the box.

Get ready, Milky Way. You ain't seen nothing yet.
