why we got finishing up our connection with the civilian grid?
Flexibility, if we produce more power than needed we can provide it to the civilians if we are short on power we can get it from the civilian net.
It is only 7C and we got 1500C when we got the last round of capital from the main quest and there are 4 more actions that can give Carter Quest capital if it needs it.

I like to explain why i think we should research Rovers now.
We are building a lot of probes this turn and will launch them during the next turn.
This will result in the probe missions completing within 3 turns as there is no travel time for the ones sent to the moon.
My plan([] Plan To the Moon) start researching the rovers this turn and if we roll bad we will compete that research in the next turn.
Once researched we still need to build additional rovers to send on missions and I think we need to send rovers to potential mining sites discovered by the probes before we can set up the mines to feed enterprise.

-Decontamination Hub Done
-Probe Development
-Basic Drive Module Development
You can shorten the mission requirements by removing the completed developments that would make them easier to read.

Wecan also look into storage for power. There are some interesting concepts for that. As well as maintenance rotations and upgrade cycles. More power means potentially more down time for both.

The coffee machines gave us one amenity and we lost that when the coffee went bad
[ ][Carter]Relocate Administration 0/100
(Work Amenities unlocked: ++++)
Gives 4 times as much Work Amenities and I think that both technical schools and access to the 0G workshop of enterprise are worth more to the Carter quest than getting coffee back sooner.
THe main quest will build the perennial Bays needed for coffee soon as they only cost 10R per dice and no energy.

the existing space suits are good enough for the moon landing as the crew of the existing space stations and leopard already use those this would be an improved suit intended for long term space missions.
We are also working on a space suit based on the zone suit as an experiment
I think we should develop rovers and ion drives to speed up the finding of resources. With enough probes we can complete the scanning of the moon in two turn and then start sending rovers to the places found by our probes.
Coffee is based on probably unfair knowledge of Shenanigans(tm) unlocked by that. It may not be mechanically optimal, but BOT said something that makes me think this may well lead to income options.
I had been thinking of Enterprise as just for things like attaching a drive unit to a probe when they were sent up on separate launches, but if it gives more assembly options, that may well be quite worth it.
Rovers... valid points. But I also want to push the space suits because having them ready for lunar mines/research bases would be very helpful.
So, adding a variant plan. @KnightDisciple @ALanos @Redhead222 @F0lkL0re - pinging you if you want to change your votes.

only got one question?
why we got finishing up our connection with the civilian grid?
Everything that was already mentioned, plus it's untidy to leave it incomplete.

Sorry seem i somehow failed for mt question why are we not connected too the civil net yet? Unless I missed it and we are?

Sorry, I somehow forgot to put it in. Shouldn't be a problem, and I'll try to remember it for next turn. My bad.

So: Labs and Supercomputer are complete, Assemby, Assembly line, and Mission Control are in their new digs, we have 3 Hermes probes built, Leopard is fixed, fixed again, and We Promise shouldn't explode on launch. Rover and Leopard Modification development, and the Deimos mission plan are complete, so progress towards our goals is good. We also have plans for the Earth Orbit and Lunar Comsat networks, which will be good. We have astronauts chosen, and coffee procured through... methods.

More low rolls on the Leopard Launch Test looks like our crew needs some time to handle the changes in handling and the use of the VTOL system that was added for the moon landing.
For the rest a good turn we have enough probes so we can launch one to each moon of Mars and three to mars itself.
Next turn we can develop a modification of the ion drive so it can run for years without a crew while pushing a probe and continue work on the space suit.
Assembly can start to work on producing some Rovers for when the probes have found suitable locations to send them to as I want to wait on building drive systems till the ion research is done.
Mission planning completes the work on Research Base Luna, plans a Comsat network for the Mars, and starts to plan probe missions to two new places.
The first of those I think should be the asteroid belt and the second Europa the moon of Jupiter as there might be liquid water there making it a good spot for a base.

Does having ion drives suddenly get us other kinds of ballistics. Sure we could maneuver more maybe but pretty sure the flight plans will stay mostly the same.
The current probes use their engines only for a short time to get into a orbit around the sun that will get them near their target months in some cases years later and do a second burn when they are near their target to get into orbit of their target.

An ion drive powered by a nuclear reactor or solar panels can use its engines for the entire trip either accellerating to get away from earth or slowing to meet its target this allows a far more direct route.

When talking about propulsion, a ballistic trajectory basically means that whatever is being propelled is unpowered for most of the time it is travelling along it's trajectory. One of the big things about ion drives is that they're low powered enough whilst also being so fuel efficient that you can have them being constantly using the ion drive rather than saving the fuel for the best moments. All of which means you're taking a shorter trajectory due to increased speed during the flight, which means you take a different orbital path which is going to be faster than the unpowered one.

Right now, Jupiter is absolutely stupid far away. The thing is that you are not currently aiming for Jupiter, and are likely to be using something else by the time you are.
Indeed so.

I am, within the context of CarterQuest, something of a low-information voter, but I should note that I was replying to this:

The first of those I think should be the asteroid belt and the second Europa the moon of Jupiter as there might be liquid water there making it a good spot for a base.
And my point was, essentially, that the moons of Jupiter are quite distant, so investigation of its potential as a base is inherently a medium to long-range concern, because of the observations you've just made, @Ithillid .

I'm aware that continuous-burn drive systems capable of bringing the more distant planets "closer" in terms of travel time are very much on the menu for GDI and for CarterQuest in particular. But due to being something of a low-information voter with respect to CarterQuest, I wasn't clear on whether CarterQuest had already developed such a propulsion system.
