Holy shit we're at 603 votes. That's practically double the previous record.

FYI for people obsessively refreshing the tally: remember to mentally add 1 to Loremaster-at-Large's total, because there's a misspelled version of it at the bottom.
[X] The Waystone Project
[X] Loremaster-At-Large of Kara Eight Peaks
[X] Spymaster of Wissenland
[X] Ranaldian High Priestess of Kislev
@Talon TigerDino, if/when you see this: you should probably correct your vote. Two of your options aren't being counted properly due to spelling divergences. You have "Loremaster-At-Large of Kara Eight Peaks" and "Ranaldian High Priestess of Kislev"; you want
[ ] Loremaster-at-Large of Karak Eight Peaks
and
[ ] Ranaldian High Priest of Kislev

Previous record was 397. We're still nearly 200 away from that. But we've had a fifty percent increase, which is pretty bonkers.

Just in case.

I mean, they might, but the obvious answer to the speculation is "Counter-espionage specifically centered around the crown heir". The Emperor and their varied heirs have been the center of plots and conspiracies for over 2000 years now and a Grey Lady Magister is the logical solution to that kind of thing, especially with a track record like ours.
Hmm? Oh I was specifically talking about the Spymaster of Wissenland position and the suggestion of why we aren't being given a different one then that to fight Skaven. What I said applies to all position I suppose but you are right that in the case of Bodyguard it is rather obvious even if we are going to be doing a lot of other things as well unofficially.

Yes and no. It certainly does not affect the end result, but if you are equally happy with each option, then you don't mind not affecting the results.
The only difference is that by voting all you are stating you like everything, not voting means you don't state anything.
"What I am OK with winning" is different from "What I most prefer to be winning"

Now that I think about it one of the the perks of the Bodyguard job might be regularly working with Regimand, which would be nice.

To sum up my issues with Markgraf:
Sylvania offers us Sylvania and more Sylvania with Sylvania on top.
That's it. It's rulling over shitty land, whacking against the same problem that realistically is only going to be "managed for now" rather than really gone because vampires are the true immortals of the setting.

Where do you grow from there? Sylvania just isn't worth much if you aren't interested in raising an army of the dead. Feels a lot like a dead end, thankless task.

Like Roswitta says, we might well be reporting to her grandkids and not be done. That's how big a job it is.

It's just green-ish grey land and haunted woods as far as the eye can see. Again and again.

And I do honestly think others could manage this mostly as well. It's not simply a problem of whacking things with a sword, or poking weird mysteries or situations. It's a well known problem: hunt down vampires, curb their influence. Rinse and repeat for twenty years, and if you are lucky you might be as close to done as you are liable to get.

We need 8 more bois for the Tutor option to win. Do you want to kill Skaven? Do you want to get up to shady things? Do you want to have a slumber party with Heidi? Vote now citizen

After all this time arguing against it, I can't believe I'm having to consider promoting Waystones now just so that Loremaster doesn't stay in the lead.

I don't think that's too likely? He's got his own projects. We'd certainly have the opportunity to see him socially more often (and we'd have the possibility for the super awkward social scene of "go meet Panoramia's parents," which I will eat up with a spoon), but what sorts of jobs do you imagine us taking where we'd need to work with him?
Oh god Loremaster is making a comeback. It's the one option I don't want to win. Where did these umgi come from??
People see that something they don't like is in the lead, so they approval vote all the leaders besides it, causing something new to take the lead, causing new people to see that something they don't like is in the lead...
