Not interested in a Hysh artifact you need an amputation to make use of.
So back to "you're better of as chaos dwarf slaves than as free people in a heavily armored convoy" then? And those beggars will be entirely happy to be going into the mouth of Chaos? Not to mention that their mental fragility in the wake of their ordeal makes them more likely to crack to Chaos blandishments.
I mean, it's definitely not the Hand of the Gods, because no way in hell some random ass Marauders managed to gank Kroq-gar.because I'm pretty damn certain that the arm is the actual Hand of God, an Old One gifted by the slann Mazadmundi to the saurus oldblood Kroq Gar
They're Wood-Elf-Adjacent and might know how to return it without being perforated with a load of arrows. The Eonir are not wood elves and their blessing would be worth about as much as Belegar's in the eyes of the Wild Hunt. The only safe thing to do with that acorn is return it to Athel Loren.
My thought is that we should have a copy made for the colleges and send it to them, and then have the orignals sent to the family of researcher or to the orignsation that set up the expedition. At the very least I think her family would like it, assuming she didn't survive. Also, I'm curious, what do people actually plan to do with the researcher's books? We can't really translate the Lizardmen stuff, and I'm not sure the elf could either, so we would probably just be turning it over to Ulthuan. Granted, getting another Elf favor—would that be enough to earn more time on the island, I wonder?—would be nice.
Or... maybe, we could do this on the way back instead and not drag them all the way into the wastes with us.So back to "you're better of as chaos dwarf slaves than as free people in a heavily armored convoy" then?
I'm sure they would be super grateful for your consideration of their feelings.
He can't exactly muck with Expedition's logistics from Aethyr. Enough time had already passed that Greater Daemon without any souls to sacrifice would deteriorate.Okay, one thing that occurs to me on reread, is that the Lord of Change deliberately mucked with our food supplies.
This raises the possibility that it may continue to muck with the expedition's logistics. Or at least push us towards acting with food-desperation in mind.
Either way doesn't change the calculus of the decision here, but does put a lot more emphasis on taking every opportunity to secure our supply situation. Quivers and arrows and all that.
