-Tea - Azyr - Can't figure out why Azyr is fine with mushroom powder tea/instant mushroom soup. Oh well, their loss. It doesn't sound tasty.
Tea -> Reading Tea leaves
-??? - Ghur - Sausages maybe. Mixed with meat and fat.
Could be as complicated (and unnecessarily cruel) as Foie Gras, instead it's mushrooms forcefed on deer.
Could be as simple as roasting it in a kebab alongside other wild meats
-??? - Shyish - My first thought was some kind of funerary food, but most of those tend to be deliberately plain flour stuff...fermentation should be okay with Shyish though. Fermented mushrooms sounds tricky, not enough sugar. Maybe soaked in wine?
Mushrooms in brine. Because iirc brine was also used in embalming.
-??? - Chamon - Neither
Oven baked? Or ground through a mincer.

I wonder if Melkoth is going to Uno Reverse Card us, and spend favor for tutoring in this lovely new addition to Ulgu Battle Magics.

Considering he managed to pick up and cast the foundational idea of the spell in like an afternoon, I feel like he probably wouldn't need our helping hands. Doubly so now that the spell is An Actual Spell and less of a Hyper-Cantrip of Summon Migraine. :V

[X] Spell name - Rite of Way

Because I want to imagine the faces both Algard and Regimand will make when this report gets to them.

[X] Greet and get to know the Wizards joining the Expedition as they arrive at Praag.
[X] Spend some time exploring the Karak now that everyone has spread out into their hopefully permanent Clan Halls.
[X] Adela, to see how her gradual nepotistic takeover of the Karag Nar Gunnery School is going.

Chamon mushrooms could plausibly just be grilled, should be fine as long as it's the hot metal doing most of the work rather than the flame directly. Ghur probably doesn't take well to any sort of cooking, which is just as well given that the Ambers probably wouldn't even want to cook them.

It's like picking up the trick to whittling a maximum efficiency wooden knife and saying you can make a knife-producing machine from it. He understands the widgets, but the meat of the spell is that we're making a million of them, sticking them in a delayed deployment pool, and then allocating them where they're needed.

[X] Spell name - Mathilde's Rite of Way
[X] The Gold College, to see what's become of their research into Skaven technology.
[X] Gretel, who's apparently spending her newly-earned wealth to make herself at home.
[X] Adela, to see how her gradual nepotistic takeover of the Karag Nar Gunnery School is going.

[x] Greet and get to know the Wizards joining the Expedition as they arrive at Praag.
[x] Join Hubert and the Winter Wolves for the final leg of their journey to Praag.
[x] Join Esbern, Seija, and the Knights of Taal's Fury for the final leg of their journey to Praag.
[x] Julia, to see what she has gotten up to as Stirland's most experienced spy master.
[x] The Dolgan, to get to know the people of the western Steppes who will hopefully be feeding the Expedition.

No M.A.T.H.I.L.D.E. shenanigans this time? Let's see...
Magically Access Terrain Heretofore Impassable; Lead/ing Devotees Expeditiously

[X] Stirland, to see for yourself how the war against Sylvania is progressing.
[X] The Gold College, to see what's become of their research into Skaven technology.
[X] Follow up on your donation of the Skaven organ-vat, and see what has been made of it.

As your chanting continues - a simple mnemonic for the components of the modified Skywalk, but it sounds nice and mystical
Chanting- it is a Rite! Thanks, Boney. :)
Okay wow. I hadn't even considered the pun potential in "Right a' Way."

That's only slightly below Melkoth level in it's pun and prank potential. XD
The only real question is whether it's "Mathilde's" Rite of Way. I'm actually not sure if I want to slap her name on this one, since I think it sounds better without it. Putting emphasis on "Rite" and "Way" and making it strongly sound more like Rite is being used to indicate a magical spell, and the whole thing sounds really weird until you realize that it's "right of way" and groan. Putting her name distracts from that.
That's part of the appeal to me, yes. Not just that the name itself is a pun, but it can be used in phrases and sentences to construct more puns.
That's rather hampered if it's prefaced with our name.

I'm more impressed, honestly, that we've gotten a proof of concept for a Meta-spell. A spell that casts spells if you would.
Seems like there could be a paper in that?

actually, question @BoneyM

with the extra work making Rite of Way magic efficient. is Rite of Way codified enough to be used by the battle wizards or does it still need more work for someone not mathy to use?

If Melkoth weren't already the Super Teacher, familiar with the wibbly wobbly nature of magic, he is I'd agree, but at this point I expect him to whisper in the ear of that first maximum efficiency wooden knife he makes and have it whittle its own replication machine retroactively, once he sees the rough layout we made anyhow. 🧙‍♂️

When you're out here adding ?????? bonuses to stuff I'm inclined to believe in your abilities! :V

Plot twist: It turns out that we actually do get a time travelling wizard on our backs for the Rite of Way

As, somewhen, somehow, a Jade Journeyman swears in fury at realizing they cannot name their cheese making spell, "The Rite of Whey."
