As always, I'm voting for following up on interesting things we've done.

Except the fief, as it's only been a few years, and its defining feature is that nothing ever happens there. We'll check in once a decade or so.

Now, guys. Let us not forget the most important fact that the spell's naming contest has already been "won", and that perfect name is

Rite of Way

by @Alliterate

Edit: to clarify
Deliberately confusing names are funny for a few minutes but annoying to write about forever.
*nods sagely, offers sympathy*
*Maybe we should just use a simple name this time?*
*brain immediately throws up a new pun name-*
Rite of Way

Expedition
[ ] Greet and get to know the Wizards joining the Expedition as they arrive at Praag.
[ ] Join Hubert and the Winter Wolves for the final leg of their journey to Praag.
[ ] Join Esbern, Seija, and the Knights of Taal's Fury for the final leg of their journey to Praag.

I think it'd be fun to do all three of these. Traveling with the Winter Wolves at the same time as we're traveling with the Knights of Taal at the same time as we're doing meet-and-greet with the Expedition Wizards. :p

All the other generals said it was daft to lead a cavalry charge across a swamp, but I did it all the same, just to show them! It was a brilliant success.

Or from the other side:

Impossible! I have no idea how they got there, it would take some kind of magical genius to...MATHILDE!!!!!

We still need to learn how to hide a steam tank behind a small sapling before we can start riffing on CREED!!!

It's funny how this one spell, if we could pass it to others, could would probably do a lot to make Grey Wizard Knights a thing, if only in some third, likely internal college classification as dedicated attachés to Knightly Orders.

Would probably need to lower it down to FC tho.

Whee! The spell worked, worked well, and we can probably refine and improve it further from here! All in all, I'd call that a ringing success.

For the mushroom actions, that was a pretty damn good result. I'd personally have liked to bring along all four types of mushrooms we have prepared, on the off-chance we get journey(wo)men from other colleges showing up, but I can understand why Mathilde only took the azyr batch. And when it comes to Belegar, I think the conversation definitely shows just how annoying trying to nail down a definitive offender is- I especially liked Mathilde's comment about 'Jan Jansen' and 'Max Mustermann'.

Consider: Given the way the Rite of Way, is a conveyor track of portable road (given how the energy is "sent out, and then returned on a riptide") created and powered by the magic of mist, one of a particularly punny and fuzzy logic persuasion might argue that Mathilde just did invent the steam tank. :p

Likewise, given the way it's meant to be ground hugging it could, in fact, be hidden behind low terrain features.

EDIT: Seriously, though, I was about to comment on this before you posted this, because I found the spell mechanism's similarity to the principles of tank tracks to be pretty neat. Only instead of carrying a single vehicle, it's an entire mobile road.

Makes one wonder if some non-battlemagic variation might someday exist that only covers a single carriage or chariot.

I wonder if this may open up an entire thing of magic cuisine.
Maybe? The problem is we currently have only one ingredient that's guaranteed to be able to soak up winds, and to get proper cuisine you're going to need quite a few more than that. Though with that said, if it does turn out to be possible then I'd love to read a scene of Mathilde sitting down to a meal where everything is crammed with ulgu.

A spell that allows us the hide something behind terrain features that really shouldn't be able to do that is honestly exactly in Ulgu's wheelhouse and our trait supports it.

You know I have to wonder how Belegar is going to get across Mathilde's findings to the other dwarf kings.

King of Barak Var: So what did your loremaster find?
Belegar: *rattles off all the possibilities and conditionals that Grey Wizard paranoia could muster and the reasons for them mostly rooted in weird manling magic*
King of Barak Var: Ow... my head! How do you sleep at night with that rattling around?
Belegar *deadpan* Beer, lots of beer

"So, it could be Marienburg, it could be the Empire framing Marienburg, it could be Marienbrug framing the Empire for framing Marienburg, or it could also be Lahmians framing Marienburg for framing the Empire for framing Marienburg.

Now, if you will turn to page 37, we can get into how this could be all wrong and the Skaven might be behind it all. "

The only real question is whether it's "Mathilde's" Rite of Way. I'm actually not sure if I want to slap her name on this one, since I think it sounds better without it. Putting emphasis on "Rite" and "Way" and making it strongly sound more like Rite is being used to indicate a magical spell, and the whole thing sounds really weird until you realize that it's "right of way" and groan. Putting her name distracts from that.
