Say @BoneyM would a Powerstone cover for driving over a bog as a substitute for dawn/dusk? Its mostly a power supply problem after all, if an expensive one, 5 CF is probably well worth it to leave your enemies staring hatefully at your rear.

It would.

-Tea - Azyr - Can't figure out why Azyr is fine with mushroom powder tea/instant mushroom soup. Oh well, their loss. It doesn't sound tasty.

It's being air-dried and powdered that it's okay with but other Winds aren't, adding it to water is just to make it easier to get down someone's gullet.

Ah...does mean that probably could oven dry the Aqshy shrooms, but the smoked ones are certainly way tastier.

...wonder what foods work with Azyr, but instant mushroom soup powder I suppose, does fit certain kinds of academic...

Hey @BoneyM

Is a battlefield spell that creates a convincing illusion of a giant monster (Like full on Godzilla kaiju size monster) a viable spell with our warrior of Fog trait? Cuz such a spell would be all about sowing panic and confusion on the battlefield, so at least thematically it checks out.

The use of such a spell would mainly to try and bluff enemy armies into gtfo'ing or atleat retreating, because that is pretty much the standard response for non-ork armies when they see a Godzilla sized monster.

LOL now I'm imagining Teclis failing his perception check against this spell and thinking the monster is a horror from before the coming of the old ones.

That spell exists and is called Illusion.

-Smoked - Aqshy - Use of a fire's emissions, without actually exposing it to fire and combusting. Roasting might work too? Or too harsh? Either way, smoked mushrooms keep better.
-Pickled - Ghyran - Brine or vinegar I wonder? If my read of Ghyran is correct, vinegar should work better than still salt water, as a plant product.
-Pie'd - Ulgu - At first I thought its the inbetweenness of mushroom paste, or the paste being wedged within the twin boundaries of the pie crust and base , but then I just realized. Bite sized pie is also carnival food!
-Tea - Azyr - Can't figure out why Azyr is fine with mushroom powder tea/instant mushroom soup. Oh well, their loss. It doesn't sound tasty.
-??? - Ghur - Sausages maybe. Mixed with meat and fat.
-??? - Shyish - My first thought was some kind of funerary food, but most of those tend to be deliberately plain flour stuff...fermentation should be okay with Shyish though. Fermented mushrooms sounds tricky, not enough sugar. Maybe soaked in wine?
-??? - Hysh - Not a clue
-??? - Chamon - Neither
Hysh-soak mushrooms: I suspect Hysh would be agreeable with sun drying, assuming there's a good sun drying preparation that can be applied to making tasty mushrooms to base it off of.

Chamon -soak mushrooms... sliced and stir-fried, maybe? There's significant heat, but mostly applied through direct contact with hot metal. Plus stiry-frying means it's being worked throughout the entire process. Which seems agreeable to Chamon if my intuition of it is correct.

Given I doubt I'll be catching up to the thread before tonight, I thought I'd write my thoughts on an emblem for Karag Dum now.

So, Karag Dum's got a bit of an Erebor feel to it, right? 'The Lonely Mountain' and all that. It's also defined by standing against the darkness. So my thinking was, a mountain set against either a completely black background, or maybe black clouds at the top and a clearer horizon at the bottom.

Oh okay I did not know that Illusion could make illusions on the scale of Godzilla sized things, if it can do that then what is the limit? Can Illusion for instance make a Illusion of a literal mountain sized dragon or something that blots out the sky?
My understanding from thread commentary is that this is something that scales with the wizard. As do many spells. Put Lord Magister level power into it and you're going to get either a Lord Magister level effect or, failing that, Lord Magister level efficiency.

It scales with the caster's power. I'm not going to give an exact size limit. If the Illusion isn't plausible, it's possible for people to realize it's not real and after that point they can see through it.

@BoneyM since that is missing from Rite of Way at full power is just ambient Ulgu would a powerstone suffice to let us say go over quicksand when it's not twilight? It is an admittedly unlikely necessity, but not impossible.

Yes.
