Also looking at all rolls they are not bad:

[Using Skywalk as-is: Learning, 54+28+7(Library: Sevir)=89.]
[Minify Skywalk: Learning, 93+28+5(Library: Ulgu)=126.]
The first action rolled above average in every roll.

[Identifying targets: Learning, 34+28+5(Library: Ulgu)+20(Coin)=87.]
[Implementing identifier: 94+28+5(Library: Ulgu)+20(Coin)=147.]
The second action rolled below average once, but Ranald's Coin decided to bump that up to averagish again :)

And our implementation rocks as already said :D

We don't actually know that. Her romantic experience as an Apprentice is unspecified. We do know that's where her interest in romance novels began; it could well have segued into some dalliances with fellow Apprentices.

What Mathilde might lack in practical experience she has in a big chunk of theoretical research. But believe me, if it does go that way, her trying to make that conversation happen is going to be awkward.

I spent a while rewording that, but I think it's important to keep the actual voting options short because people have to copy-paste them to vote. As per the note at the end, all the proper etiquettes will be followed.

Also there's a conversation here about triad versus vee polycules but it's too 2am in the morning for me to tackle it.

Looking at the vote spread it seems mainly to be a few very loud voices since the votes aren't anywhere near as divisive. Still, better to get it over with, I suppose.

I voted for her and Johann originally and am fine with her (but also, Dragon).

I do find her to be a bit boring but pleasant - she's got this little box called Ghyran that she's hiding in, and it takes some shoving to get her to step outside of it. No doom towers, no piety, no backup skills for nonmagical combat, not enthused by weird rubbery goblin shrooms or traversing the Frozen North... c'mon girl, live a little.

I prefer Johann (but also, Dragon), because him and Mathilde do things together. Unless I've forgotten something, outside of the original Expedition itself, we've done a grand total of one action with Panoramia (mushrooms, because she turned down Shadow Gardening) and zero social actions. Her rise in the Romance votes confuses me greatly. But it still feels like a win to me on a mechanical level. We will still do things with Johann, because he's cool and shares a lot of Mathilde's interests. We will still do things with Cython, because it's cool and shares a lot of Mathilde's interests. Now we have a reason to interact with Pan. Cool.

And I would vote for poly-with-whoever, except that I've seen speculation on how to use Cython to aid the expedition, and at this exact moment, with Mathilde and Cython's ties being purely social, on a relationship level that's pretty horrifying. Having to field questions on 'How can we exploit our romantic partner for maximal benefit?' would mess me up in the head real bad, so I am not okay with subjecting BoneyM to that, regardless of Boney's personal mental fortitude.

If you just don't want to invest the AP then fair enough, but if you're voting for the mono Pan option out of a desire to be respectful or loyal to Panoramia then you're just wrong about what your vote is for. This is, when we come down to it, just a vote about whether a second group of people get to also have a relationship option of their choosing at no harm to what Mathilde and Panoramia already have.

I am voting for monogamy because I think Mathilde isn't ready to add someone specific to the relationship right now. If there was an option to "open a slot", so to speak, that can be filled at a later date then I'd be okay with it.

@BoneyM Final attempt at compromise: Could we have an option where we discuss polyamory with Panoramia now, but with the express guarantee (to the thread more so than IC) that adding someone won't happen until X turns have passed or a specific milestone has been reached? I am envisioning something similar to how we voted to postpone the selection of Belegar's boon or the reading of the Liber Mortis.

Like 6 years of lurking in various forums (both with and without an account) is being broken at this point, and I'm quite happy it's for this quest.
It's been a truly amazing ride Boney and I thank you for writing it.

This would take a lot of enforcing on my part to keep the looming possibility from coming up over and over (and over) in the meantime, defeating the purpose.
 
No strong non-romance preferences, but like the Pan relationship so far. Putting Johann in, just in case poly relationship wins.

I've got no problem with delaying Cython, but that's not really an option in this vote. The options we select now will continue quite likely for the remainder of the quest.

I understand, and I used "wording" specifically because I was aware the actual update would likely discuss it in depth, but I worry that the way it is presented would turn people away from the option.
In any case it seems to be going firmly in the direction of monogamy so I think it's safe to leave it like it is and get some well deserved rest, do not worry about it, people who care will probably find the relevant quotes anyway.

Quick check, did Master Greatsword (1/4) come from this action? I assume that it did, I am just surprised that not only does Mathilde only need AP investment to get there, but a low roll still means an entire point of progress, and better rolls could give us two. I figured it would be a longer process and would involve getting into situations that pushed her limits. On the flipside, it does make a lot of sense that Mathilde would be better at attaining a master's level of effectiveness when her sword can do all these things to cheat. What would normally require years of intensive improvement of mind and body in order to bring a mundane sword to the upper reaches of combat effectiveness is now dramatically shorted by how Mathilde only needs to master the unique quirks of her weapon to make it just as deadly.
