Voted best in category in the Users' Choice awards.
I'll put that down to historical revisionism IC.
Better for the colleges to believe he was bad from the start and slipped through undetected than the most devout and pious College have someone fall to Chaos.
If that were the case, you'd think they would have also left out the part where he and his relative got tossed into a pit of snakes by them.

Light Order recruitment drive

1: Nobody
2: Call goes out for volunteers (bonus to Light Wizards from earlier call)
3: Magister Egrimm van Horstmann
4: Lady Magister Elrisse and Magister Verspasian Kant
5: Choirmaster Stephen and his Choir
6: Magister Patriarch Alric, the Saviour of Apesto
And so BoneyM's heart rolled three will saves against trolling the player base that day.

----

(Unfortunatly all we know for sure is that he failed the roll to 'share the DC's and rolls of the will saves with his players' :/ )

Anyway, I hope this magister is friendly and engaging.

----

If the dice roller lets you roll a d6 with 7 options, the seventh should be "The Slann, somehow"

YES! YES! JUST AS PLANNED!!!

... Uh I mean... what a surprise! Well we should not be too worried remember what boney said about him possibly not being evil? No need to do any looking out for trouble around him!

Aww, a 6 would have been fucking hilarious.

I mean, we got a fantastic result, but it's not rolf

Ah well :)

Boney, why do you keep introducing characters I want to romance when the romance vote has passed? First it was Gehenna, and with about 90% probability it will be Horstmann next.

At this point the only solution is to make a pile of wizards for Mathilde to sleep on.

BoneyM has learned from experience that if your RNG-influenced story only has one significant love interest, they will inevitably die a slow and painful death.

So now we make sure all of our marketable spouses have back-ups prepared.

You know at this point we should just call the expedition Ringmaster Mathilde's Marvelous Traveling Circus:

Step Right up folks step right up. We have a dragon and the elf that rides him. We have wondrous dwarfish artifice. We have wizards gold, blue, amber grey and white. We have wolf riders and demygrifs. :V

I'm actually really glad the entire order didn't come, as that would leave the approach to K8Ps undefended.

I wonder what Borek and company think of our recruitment efforts...?

Next turn I want to push even harder to get some Bretonnian Knights and Damsels, just to add to the diversity of the expedition.

Imagine a Prophetess trying to be mysterious to Deathfang, for example.

I'd love to try to recruit Cython, but I've no idea how to try it, as that would be even more amazing interaction wise. He'd probably be very interested to meet a Damsel - and meeting a Light Magister would also perhaps be revealing. I don't think anyone can successfully be smug and mysterious to them!

Van Horstmann Situation Roll:

2: Corrupted By The Skull Of Katam
3: Chaos-Curious But Uncommitted
4: Actually A Ranaldite Instead
5: Perfectly Normal And Charming Fellow
6: Part Of A Light College Anti-Necromancy Sting Operation
Redshirt Army threw 1 6-faced dice. Total: 2
