Ok if it's gonna be a flying ship, then it just has to be a cloud ship (in this case a flying ship covered in a cloud) right?

What else is a fog up in the air but a cloud? Also it'd prevent us from dying of sunstroke or just getting roasted by the heat or more embarrasingly, being stripped of our Ulgu.

Look we're on the cusp of taking over the silk trade.

That's a whole lot of money.

A whole lot of future problems and issues with us getting that financial prowess can be sloved if we get rid of that vow.

This time i am more inclined to ask for something selfish. We have always asked for something that helped our friends and allies, this time i would ask for something for Mathilde herself.

The creation of a knightly order drawing perpetuals from every college and train them into a force of mounted magical warriors. (Great boon for knightly order, vlag boon for runed equipment)

Okay, that is a very cool idea. I would be fine with it.

Counterpoint: A flying tower is really just a very advanced and fancy fortification, which is one of the most traditional things to add runes to.

I really want a flying tower.

This way we can go exploring without problems and have a mobile base for Mathilde next adventures.

When have we ever spent money? The last significant non-book expense was furnishing the headquarters of the Waystone Project five years ago. The Colleges are not about to come for our book expenses or our laboratory expenses or our weird stuff in Lothern expenses so what is this in service of?

@Boney, the same way we can make ourselves free of the vow of poverty, could we make Eike free of it? Maybe the both of us?
Hell, how much can we stretch it? Could we make her apprentice / heirs too? Her entire bloodline?

I personally have negative interest in the vow of poverty. I can't recall it being meaningfully relevant to anything for a long, long time, and I feel it's importance is very overinflated in our current state.

Landing an airship and having our personal knight order charge out of it to ruin some gribblies day is much more gratifying.

I would be interested in being freed from the vow, but I'd want it for actual luxuries like expensive wine and giant statues. Things that the vow actually prohibits us from getting.

Eike yes, but not her bloodline. You could attach it to the EIC so that Grey Wizard shareholders of it are considered to always have a valid cause to be accumulating money in the furtherance of.

Doesn't the Light College has a BÖOK left by Volentus? The one that was the cause of the Night of a Thousand Arcane Duels? We should ask to have access to it. I'm really curious about its content.

@Boney on a note unrelated to the actual vote, I gotta ask out of curiosity: just how classified is the AV book going to end up being?

I imagine the Colleges won't exactly advertise that the blood of not-daemons can be used to create Orbs and Liminal Realms, but I'm wondering if any wizard above a certain level would have access (Magister, Lord Magister), or if the book would be strictly limited to the ones actually researching ways of obtaining AV.

@Boney, memory tells me that we'd need 30 CF for a flying tower, +10 CF if we want to steer it. Without attaching exact numbers to what the rewards are worth, could we get a flying tower from the Celestials alone?

You're very likely to get seven answers of 'one more Battle Altar in rotation' and one of 'powering the defences keeping something contained that I can't tell you about and you don't want to know about'.

Okay neat thanks!

"I'd know if one of mine had gone missing," Mira says.

Also I guess that explains what Mira meant when she said she would know if theirs had gone missing.

It'd be compartmentalized. There would probably be a pamphlet on gathering and storage that everyone above Apprentice would get, with the full book requiring Lord Magister or a demonstrable good reason to access.

No.
