Loved hearing of a heavy cavalry charge in the swamp. Bretonnians eat your heart out.

Eike is so precocious and adorable. And has extreme potential. I can see her becoming the next Mathilde.

Also, I kinda like the EC of Wissenland, despite myself.

- If there's a book topic that you think the Elementalists should have had - not that you wanted them to have had, something that it's so self-evident that they would have it that you think the lack of it is an oversight on my part - let me know.
Stuff I definitely think they should have:
Manann, Mathlann - can't see why they won't have books on Them if they have books on Dazh and Addaioth. Books on Mannan, at the very least, I would think they should be able to get. Especially since they got books on His parents.
One thing I think maybe should have had considering what other books they had:
Hukon - Related to earth elementalism, and they have books on another Ellinilli.

Following the theme, mineralogy and soil sciences maybe? Also I vaguely recall Hysh having an association with stone but I can't remember if that was canon to DL.

Eike now has enough spells to be properly called a wizard, a weak and inexperienced one, but you could send her off on the kind of adventures the RPG works with and have some hope of her coming out alive.

Ok, so we got in contact with that really mysterious Grey affiliated knight order. At any rate a good bunch of CF was acquired and RoW was proved in battle so that's good.

The book action went as well as could be expected. Pity about the Verenans but after we onboard all the libraries in Nuln we're going to be big enough to deal with the other major libraries as equals.

Eike is growing into a very capable wizard; not sure where her full statblock is but it seems she's already reaching the Stirland competence standard (which is admittedly not a great standard but still impressive for her age).

I'm really interested in keeping track of some of our old interests - Okri; the new spymaster; the Gold or Amber research. Panoramia's new apprentice has the priority though - Mathilde's windsight and experience are hard to match.

[ ] Sofia
Meet and learn a bit about Panoramia's new Apprentice, Sofia de Siernos.

[ ] House Filuan
House Filuan seems to be pursuing the import of large amounts of marble, much more than might be needed for small goods or maintenance. See if you can find out what sort of construction project might be in the works.

I have a feeling someone is going for the more traditional bridge plan.

[ ] Middenland
See how the Ulricans are going with their new Eonir coreligionists.

[ ] Nordland
See what's going on with the Ulrican schismatics that Nordland is backing.

Really need to be at least aware of what's happening here

[ ] Druchii Diplomats
Check in on these unexpected visitors to Tor Lithanel.

I want at least some read on this group before the Asur kick in the door

I know it's not our strong point, but we really need to start keeping an eye on the politics now that we are getting places.

The only time you've heard of such an order is in the context of the Night of a Thousand Arcane Duels, where it rode through the streets of Altdorf to assist the Grey Order. Learning that they still exist answers one question and raises many more, none of which are answered by the brief missive.
I wonder whether they were aware that this particular LM didn't actually know shit about them. Probably hard to keep track of who is read into what within the Grey Order.

Eike getting that particular Mastery is very nice. It's good synergy since she is also running around with a big sword. I guess unlike Mathilde she can't use it for sillier stuff yet due to casting risk.

Added Manann, Hukon, Minerology.

Could we maybe talk to Cython about the line between spirits and Gods?

I'm open to the idea, but I can't really think of where that conversation goes between "perhaps there is one" *sparkles mysteriously*

I kinda want to do this. I know it's been a few years, but the recent events in Marienburg and its associated political upheaval could be a good chance to finally figure out whether House Akkerman (or Marienburg in general) was involved

I'm certain she won't just open up about the mysterious circumstances of her past, but I really want to learn more about her. If we learn more about how she got into the empire , even better. And we might even give her some advice.
Gretel is great , and learning more about what the Dwarfs are up to is also something I'm in favor of.

Would be nice to get some closure. If not closure, than at least some information on what they are currently suspecting, since the outcome if this investigation has potentially enormous political ramifications.

Yay :D RoW was successfully codified.

I'm feeling the Skaven loot action tbh.

Also, while not all +1's are equal: we just aren't doing anything with ogres so the stuff about gut magic is unlikely to ever be relevant my brain was very happy to see us get +64 out of one library action.

Also also, having Nuln's foundries rebuilt at the bleeding edge of the Empire's current technical ability to dwarven standards is likely to leave them more productive than before the collapse.

I always squeal in joy like a little child when I see a new update.

Ranald ensuring that the RoW immediately gets learned and used is good work. I'm really happy with this contribution. Good lad.

Also, Eike shows off. Not just her logistics chops either. She's kind of making fresh journeyman Mathilde look bad here. Or maybe Regimand wasn't all that good at teaching magic? Maybe he doesn't have much in the way of apprentice level spells with masteries.

@Boney To my understanding: The list in the update is what we could pack up and move to the KAU right away, because the Elementalists were really cooperative. But we can now send scribes, and that'll get us the other stuff, so lots of engineering but also assorted other things.

Yes please, I want those mysterious sparkles.

But you feel in your bones the absence of a centrepiece, twin exemplars of Cunning and Brutality to cap off the paper and hammer the point truly home, but they fail to make themselves known no matter how many records you delve into - no cunningest of all Goblins, no mightiest of all Orcs.

From the great beyond Skarsnik shakes his first at us, and who knows what changes our shattering of the Idol could have meant for Grimgor.

On the subject of Humorism. While the subject has been disproven with vengeance in the real world, it might have some minor medical insights in this setting.
Many people in Divided Loyalties, including Mathilde, already think they're quacks.
Humoralists call them capsulae atrabiliarae, believing it to be an instrument for the creation or storage of black bile. The rest of us, being burdened with the obligation to actually investigate and test instead of being able to make it up as we go along, were a little more in the dark, and in truth few had given them too much attention.
And this paper, competently-written and kicking apart a pet theory of the Humoralists as it does, is something you're happy to have your name attached to.
