I've been wanting to see her again for a long time, please people can we at least have one instance of checking up on her. It's been there since we started as Loremaster.

Thinking some more about Vicarius, but more particularly his ward, what do we know about it. We know his title:

Vicarius Galenstra of House Fanpatar, Prince of the Rain

So, he's prince of the Ward of the Rain. We're told 'The Schadensumpf is about 95% of the Ward of Rain'. That means it's the area of Laurelorn adjacent to Middenland. This means it's where any trade with the Empire that doesn't go down the river and then by sea via Marienberg is likely to pass. It's also likely that visiting runesmiths, priests, and wizards will have to pass through his Ward to reach Tor Lithanel, so getting his people as completely onside as possible may be useful to ease their journey. Most people won't be an up for a hike through a swamp as we are.

With the EIC establishing a presence in the North, we may also be well suited to open trade if we have good relations and know what they'd want and could offer.

@Boney might I ask what Mathilde knows Julia has been up to, since I feel like part of the reason she never gets a vote for social is because we haven't heard anything about her IC for a long time.

Anyone know when we last visited our fief? I really don't want to go there more than once a decade, given that the defining feature is that nothing interesting ever happens there.

Turn 24, in the year 2481.5. This was about three and a half years since the last time we were there, and it's now been about five and a half years. Personally, my preferred rate of visitation is "once every five years or so," so I'm gonna keep voting for it until it wins.

Regarding Julia, I am totally fine ignoring her indefinitely. Something very dramatic would have to happen for me to support that social action.

Yeah, Norse Dwarves and Chaos Dwarves.
Just to confirm, the Norse Dwarves and Chaos Dwarves are counted as the First & Second Schism of the Karaz Ankor? Or are they counted together and there's another Schism beyond that?

Definitely separate schisms. There is very little connecting the Norse and Chaos Dwarf schisms. The Norse Dwarves were cut off from the Karaz Ankor around -5500 IC at the start of the Great Incursion as the Underway passages weren't complete enough for movement between the holds and they were isolated as a result. The Chaos Dwarves fell to Hashut around -3900 IC, around 500 years after the end of the Chaos incursion after a lengthy siege by chaotic forces. The source, outcome, time frame and cultural frame work of both schisms are entirely different and couldn't realistically be counted as the same schism.

the only thing that would make me feel that a visit needs to be urgent is if we got word that the Lahmians were recruiting. (forcefully or otherwise)

because she fits their target victims demographic to a Tee.

A pretty, single, not that well-known noblewoman that is plugged right into the heart of the provinces information network?

that's a Lahmain recruiters wet-dream right there.
