Actually, that reminds me of something.

I remember reading about how in one of the books they told a story about an Orc that got into a duel a Bretonnian Knight who was one of those abusive rulers, and after he killed the knight all the peasant's started cheering and stuff. Apparently, being cheered on and stuff by the masses felt really good to the Orc so he didn't kill anyone else in that town.

Would it be possible to do a quest based on that premise, with an Orc becoming a hero because it likes the whole cheering mobs thing?

Unless I'm mistaken, I think it was actually a chaos warlord and a corrupt imperial noble.

Outside of the that the whole thing basically went down the same, except the warlord left more in confusion of what just happened than actually feeling good about it.

Edit: And of course I get ninja'd

I don't think we've ever had a quest of a WHF vampire that managed to defeat and drain a dragon in the forums.

Either building up to it or starting out as one would be awesome.

Starting as a vampire that drained a dragon strikes me as ill fitting though. It'd be like a Norscan quest where you start as a Daemon Prince.

I wouldn't mind a vampire quest ... or another human quest which wasn't based in the Empire.

EDIT: But I think we're derailing the thread.

That was a chaos champion versus an imperial noble, actually. The champion was so surprised when the local women began cheering him on that he spared the entire town. They weren't even cultists, the noble was just that much of a dick.

EDIT: Could it be? The legendary super saiyan double ninja?

As per the End Times, as a Lizardman player, I am contractually obliged to start frothing at the mouth in rage.

While I wholeheartedly agree with you, I think everyone is obligated to start frothing at this point, the End Times seems to have made these guys even stupider and pettier than usual if a certain clans actions are any indication.

Still, Lizardmen get first dibs on any rants and/or ripping them apart.

So basically the Blood Dragon clan when they're starting out? All things considered those guys are some of the nicer ones if their sire is any indication.

I'd like to do a Bretonnia quest, but between Conquest and Mist(I know Mist is not actually about Bretonnia, but, I mean it is Albion and it's got some fairly strong connections to Arthurian myth which is what Brettonia is based on, so to me it's close enough), as well as all the non-Dynasty Bretonnia quests, I feel that that's already some fairly well traveled ground. Also, I know really little about Warhammer so i'd either have to do a lot of research, make stuff up, or both.

Are the End Times gonna turn into the Warhammer version of the-DC-reboot-that-dare-not-speak-its-name or something?

Its not a clan, more like a bloodline. While Abhorash commanded his disciples to only drink from strong opponents they kill, Blood Dragons nowadays aren't so discriminate iirc. Though Blood Dragons *do* have stronger resistance to the pull of their thirst.

End Time's is confusing to me.

I mean, on the one hand, most of my country is dead. On the other hand, the rest of my country is apparently going to turn into super gods in a world untouched by Chaos?

I mean, I'm not even a little bit happy, but it's a hell of a lot better then what seems to be happening to most of the rest of the world.

I'd rather have my country be all right though, I'll tell you that much.

Grimderp world is grimderper ... mostly because GW is full of idiots who can't understand marketing or how to actually make a world people like anymore. I think they fired the smart people who worked there or something.

Recent rumours state that, per End Times, there is no longer going to be an actual Warhammer world.

Instead, pretty much all the minor races got killed off and the world blown to bits, only to retain it's form in side of 'bubbles' of reality that float around. Whenever they bump into each other, the armies of each go to war.

They also reduced the playable armies to 6.
1) Humans (Dwarfs/Ogres)
2) Chaos (Beast/Warrior/Daemon)
3) Elf (High/Dark/Wood)
4) Skaven
5) Orcs & Goblins
6) Undead (Tomb/Counts)

Plus

Magical mystery knights (Spess Mahreens)!

Well, GW so far has been killing off all the cool and beloved characters (unfortunately we can't really argue this, SOMEBODY has to die), made made several factions go the way of the Squats from 40k and kill them offscreen, while everyone else seems ready to go out in a blaze of glory against a horde led by the everchosen who wants to destroy everything just to deny chaos a true victory.

Bottom line is, outside of the obligatory glorious end that is coming, nobody knows what to feel anymore because we're going through so many emotions at once that we're basically emotionally dead.

Eh, not even "Most of the country is dead".

Between Teclis backstabbing everyone to set up his scheme of dubious nature (Considering that two of his "Pieces" essentally went to Destro figures), and Chaos suddenly getting infinite power, and all the other Destro factions helping them in the usual "Hey, we do our own thing but it all ultimately furthers Chaos' plan), the entire world is doomed.

There's a rumor going around that they're straight up destroying the Warhammer Fantasy setting through the End Times so they can turn it into a bunch of warp bubbles that occasionally bump into each other and then FIGHT, so they don't need to generate fluff anymore for it.

...How's that supposed to make people be invested in the setting?

Because Games Workshop just doesn't give a shit anymore about Warhammer Fantasy apparently?

That, or this is their revenge for how Storm of Chaos ended up being a rout for their favorite boys, in spite of them continually giving Chaos magical wins so they kept making ground despite being crushingly defeated.

It's a shame that GW went out of business last year isn't it?

...

Shut up, what are you talking about, they aren't doing this, this isn't happening.
