So, I watched a video on the early (1500-1600) multishot guns and apparently the bavy was one of the key consumers because
1. Highly increased complexity and thefore high expense and slow production rate weren't a problem because of relatively small number of actual marines who had to be armed with such weapons.
2. Enormous reload time wasn't an issue as a window to shot the enemy was relatively small and had large intervals between appearing, meaning that ability to put out a lot of shots in a short time in exchange for long reload was more valueable then being able to put out single shots at a steady rate.

With that in mind I think we are more likely to develop multishot rifles and pistols then Nuln does.

Tbh, breading a superior line of horses is a legit generational effort; as in the creation of one would take at least the amount of time the quest has gone on for thus far.

If we're looking for superior cavalry or equivalents, it'd probably be better to look into cyclers or monstrous cav

Sabretusk charioteers my lad!
Yeah those boars would be kinda perfect, if orcs can do it is extremely idiot proof. They would need to be bigger and less crazy (normal warhorse levels) but that is doable.

Ogre Boar Breeder: "…mostly for the cavalry, but also to feed my rat catching sabretusk pack- Fluffy beHAVE!"

Sadrina is the Everqueen's poet or bard or something among the Handmaidens, no? She might not have been able to accompany her Lady to fight the Druchii in Nagarythe, but she will have new poems to tell of different battles and heroics. Should count for a lot. Dwarfs, Elves and Humans fighting (somewhat) united against a common foe.

Dwarfs: "The only reason we aren't fighting these Elgi here is because there are more Elgi present!"

Hmmm, would it be crazy to try and see if we can't raise War Boar cavalry at all?
I don't know about using them for cavalry , but I am all for setting War Boar ranches all over Ostland and have them run and staffed by ogres since while a War Boar being the size of war hours and extremely violent makes them too dangerous for human ranchers , Ogres have been known to handle even bigger and more dangerous monsters plus their strength ,size and resilience makes for easier and safer ranching

the War Boars have all the makes of something that can be domesticated
-they are related to pigs and hang out with orcs so they aren't picky eaters , so keeping them fed is no problem
-they have been used for millennia as both mounts and food by the orcs yet they haven't gone extinct which means they reproduce quickly and in great numbers while being able to reach maturity quite fast
-they clearly have some sort of social dynamic the orcs exploit(likely unknowingly) to tame and domesticate them the same way humans do to hoarse , cows and chickens

all those point to the war boars as excellent potential livestock

And if a single one escapes into the wild, it will be a truly horrific problem for the non-ogre peasantry and regular flora and fauna regardless of how long a time it is out there.

Possibly. We should be careful though what kind of magical animals we import into our region. We already have the Dwarven goats and those are managed through their guidance and help. Doing this on our own can massively upturn our ecosystem, destroy fields and woods and anger cults, farmers, nobles and basically everyone.

Humans are fallible and we shouldn't overreach. Let's start with something small and manageable. Like Dhar infused Druchii horsies!

aren't there already countless War Boars in the wilds of the empire ? , like in aftermath of orc invasions and raids its all but certain an Orc Boar boy's mount might escape or survive its rider's demise and get into the wilds and it certainly won't be the only one that makes a get away

Reminds me of Europe's current boar problems from a recent YouTube video, fittingly enough. Except worse because these are like the ones from Razorback in terms of size and murderous temper.

Yes. And it really sucks for the people when they cause ecological devastation or attack a farm or whatever. Or, more unfortunately, end up taken in by the Beastmen and get mutated in extremely worse Tuskgors.

so if the empire already has a war boar problem then their should no issue with us trying to domesticate them since they are already there may as well use them , typically we'd run into the issue of them being to dangerous for humans to work on them but we have ogres to do that , plus those ranches would be excellent for feeding our griffons and the fur income too

Ah, so similarly to how one method of producing Beastmen is mutated livestock and humans, a method of producing Tuskgors is mutated boars?

There would be problems. You can't ignore that there would potentially be problems, man. Like said escaping and causing chaos problems like I just said earlier.

Aside from regular Tuskgors breeding with each other or unfortunate 'regular' wildlife, yeah.

Fair enough, but not like there aren't Tuskgors/Razorgors out there already due to beastmen.

Still can make ranches as secure as possible and if there are any escapes send ogre hunters after them.

I think the benefits outweigh the cons if done carefully personally.

I think the idea is that an Elector Count really isn't going to look good adding to an already existing problem. It's one thing for one to exist because of Greenskin invasions, another to be wrecking homesteads and farms because the Count arranged for it to be fed, watered, and trained only to be incompetent enough to lose it.

Speaking of War boars, what is Oskana's opinion on them? Does she like bacon? Does Octaine share his mom's opinion? :V

Well, QM already pointed out the obvious problem with using the greenskin war boar eugenics program. The aggression in one loose war boar is a problem already, no need to keep adding to the issue.

The audience has been told by Malagor that the woods of the empire are some of the most tamed they have ever been in years. The Middle Mountains have been colonized, Sylvania has been "Purged". The empire has been pushing further into their own lands clearing up the clutter. Ostland's woodlands have notably been less dangerous than they should be.

Point is there's all sorts of things that are supposed to exist in the empire in large numbers among the general forest populations. Giant Wolf packs are the obvious sort, among great stags, and other assorted "normal" animals. Then there's the beastmen and greenskins who are supposed to exist in the forests of the empire too. Many greenskins have migrated south for the heretical Whaaagh this decade. While the beastmen have been building up. There is a lot of room in the forests of the empire, room that does actually have a limitation of it's inhabitant capacity. The Beastmen do not farm, so their minimum requirement of food supply is canabalism, or other things in the woods. The coming Beast-tide is almost definitely stretching the natural wildlife thin inside the woods of the empire from the numbers that have been built up outside Ostland's woodlands. Is there any wildlife left in those woods not joined up with Beastmen or Greenskin?

Third Imperial Navy: As the Steward of the Third Imperial Navy, you have a responsibility to build up, maintain, and use the ships of the Empire for its betterment and protection. The First Imperial Navy is based in Nordland, while the Second Imperial Navy is based in Marienburg.
300ish. I feel like this question has been asked and answered before, but if not, there. With differing levels of defenses and such set up.
Huh, we did get a number on how many ships are in the other navies.

@torroar the Second Imperial Navy is confusing me. What is the Second Imperial Navy? A Merchant Fleet under the name of Second Imperial Navy? Ships belonging to Reikland and doing mostly river patrol? A true imperial navy that defends Westerland's coastline with mighty ships of the sea 24/7?

It's a mixed bag. The Second Imperial Navy is still currently following its canon timeline i.e. it was more advanced, numerous, and wealthy compared to the aging leaky bulks that made up the Reikland navy which was in canon renamed into the First Imperial Navy by the Emperor Magnus the Pious. This time around, however, I believe that Nordland got the nod instead. Unless I've just self-contradicted myself. Hmm.

Anyway, the Second Imperial Navy is being utilized to harry pirates and protect shipping routes to ensure the wealth security of the Directorate, but maintenance and production also falls on the Emperor's lap in terms of costs, a different situation than the one for the Third Imperial Navy.

Considering that wild hogs IRL are an ecological disaster that people justifiably use high power assault rifles to take down...I don't want to know what Fantasy hogs on magic steroids can do. No thank you.

Canonically at least the Second Fleet was the most powerful naval force in the Empire, which led to problems when it defected to Marienburg when they seceded.

Edit: Ah, torroar already answered it.
