depending on how he is planning it trying to siege wolfenberg is going to be a pain and a halve.
i`ll have to check how soon those new roads will take because i am somewhat worried about our new temple.

hey at least we are stockpiling somewhat and have stronger and bigger and wider walls now to defend from.

still having said all that. anything that can or could cull some of any of this incoming BS might not be the worst thing ever to plan to do.

Not really? They are being lead by patient beastlords, the rank and file are not patient, at all. If not for Malagor being a shaman and being only just below Morghur, who is more or less the embodiment of the beastman "race" as a whole, there would be no way in hell it'd work.
Yes, really. Just because it's only the leaders who have patience doesn't make the end effect changed. As a majority of beastmen are being patient, instead of a minority.

2337 IC Interlude: Thundering Hatred

I know myself and others have brought it up after we killed gorehoof so I'll do so again. Can you give us an option to add a large number of halberdiers trained for anti horse work into our army?

Also an option to mine the shit out of the Beast paths we fine until their death traps?

We already have halberdiers for all three of Ostland's armies.

That's OOC and what halberdiers already have training in.

That's inconceivable.

No it isn't there was a rumor almost right after we killed him that all of his 'children' disappeared from their normal haunts. It doesn't take a genius to know they'll be coming for us in mass. Also I know we have some we obviously need more, not just for the centigors but also for the larger targets.

Could be looking at 3 enemy factions (Druchii, Black Orcs, Beastmen). And a faction, like the Beastmen, splitting up to hit 3 main targets.
"Three Spikes. Three Prongs. Three Fists. Horns and steel and curled."

"Some steel must go. Some steel must stay. Else stone and stone will break."

"Wood may rot, but death may spring anew. The Heart will call. The Bull should answer.
"

Instead, she faces Kyrian now. Some more of his Wood Elves have run up with him. Her seizure seems to be only getting worse.

"Dark wood drinking deep from fire-blood and-,"

"MORAI!" One of the Eternal Guard shouts, causing her to turn towards him.

"Five by five by five by five by five-,"
Hm. Wondering if this might be building up to 3 spikes, 3 prongs, 3 fists.

3 spikes of horn, 3 prongs of steel, and 3 fists curled?

And some steel must stay, and some steel must go. So... we've wondered whether it meant that Frederick must take some forces to go fight a big fight, and leave some forces -- probably with his son Magnus -- back at home. ((Though who knows, maybe Kislev is also facing a threat from the north, too? After all... the Empire-Kislev treaty was called the Blue Steel Concordant...))

"Wood may rot, but death may spring anew" -- Frankly, I think this could have been referring to the outcome of Lovely Laurelorn; i.e. the Wood of Athel Loren (the Oak, Drycha and Coeddil, others, etc) had the chance of rotting and dying. But because of a whole lot of death... well, death brought forth new life. And so now, if the Heart calls for us, we should answer.

So... The Heart -- Avelorn and the Everqueen? Natasha, if Kislev has trouble? Nah, probably Avelorn/Everqueen. -- might call; perhaps to defend the Pinnacle, perhaps to defend the Wood Elves, perhaps to assault the Dark Elves somewhere near the Sea of Claws, don't know. The Bull should answer.

Speaking of Bulls, here are the people with Bull as a nickname:
Frederick: The Steel Bull of Ostland
Natasha: The Bull's Leash (don't think this one counts)
Anna: The Gun Bull
Magnus: The Son of the Steel Bull, the Screaming Bull
Arthur: The Black Bull of Ostland

(There's also the Bull Warriors, the Knightly Order. And young Ogres I think are referred to as Bulls? So Ostland's Ogres probably are called that.)

Almost as much as Malagor the one I really want dead is that Broodhorn one. That one is scary especially with the implication that its daughters keep a reduced version of the effect.

I suspect the reason why we are getting these interludes now and why they are a bittersweet Christmas present is because it is go time for the beastmen war and there's no more time to prepare. If that's the case then I can only hope we have good initial rolls.

Just reread the final parts of Karak Ungol, and we do have a pretty large amount of possible support coming from the dwarves if shit really hits the fan. Might be we could turn this into an ordertide situation if the elves help out too.

Silver lining is that we will get a chance to see the new gear in action hopefully, and if we are extra lucky then we might have a proof of concept steam tank too.

Greenskins, Beastmen, and Skaven, would fit the following lines:

"Three Spikes. Three Prongs. Three Fists. Horns and steel and curled."

"Some steel must go. Some steel must stay. Else stone and stone will break."

We've already seen the dwarf holds get broken by the greenskins. Steel are Greenskins, Horns are Beastmen/Chaos, and curled are the skaven. The Spikes fit Beastmen? Greenskins fit prongs (torroar has used prongs in relation to greenskins I think)? Skaven fit fists (I don't quite see how, I'd expect greenskins to fit fist)?

The left half of the face, from muzzle to back, was free of flesh, revealing blackened bone and teeth to the open air. The left wing bore a wide, lengthy scar that had been burnt white somehow, revealing bleached skin and bald flesh without the otherwise midnight dark feathers.
Seems like Malagor got hit by something nasty.

Wow Malagor really made other Beastlords his henchmen. It's oddly human in their vengeance and doing so despite said Warhoof not even knowing their names

It was not a matter of filial loyalty. It was a matter of an Uncloven One daring to kill, to act as if they were anything more than prey to be taken and used as the centigors wished before being killed and eaten. And not necessarily in that order.

oof, that's a type of fucked up that resonates. "how dare you fight back!" I think we've all seen how nasty that kind of fucked up mindset can be.
