[x] They Rested: After so much damage, the people of the Empire needed rest. Exhaustion and wounds afflicted many, and they could prepare to face the danger of Gorebash in the future. To face a Bonegrinder in their state was foolhardy.

In regards to clearing the forest we did have that option pop up on turn 9. The issue is we only have one stewardship slot and it takes a while:

It's going to be that or the expansion of the gunnery school and manufacturing.

Don't forget the rogue Witchhunters that are still out there.

Hmm, time to build roads then. Magnus should give us some crowns for our performance(I hope) so i think we might be able to start properly building our infrastructure back.

You think yourself a Bull, when you are as significant as dust. I see you and you are nothing. Your pathetic lands shall learn what a true Bull is, and they shall weep and laugh and die as the Truth is revealed when He-
Thinking about it he might be referring to Taurox the brass bull who's a literal pain train or some other bull related beastmen.

That assumes we don't get a nice cash infusion in thanks for bringing the muster of the North down here in good time enough to be decisive, and our assistance Was decisive, it was close enough as it was, and we brought a fuckton of firepower with us.

Better still! Our muster only got it's nose bloodied compared to the other armies involved! Especially if we split our losses with the contingents from the other two Provinces we drew guys from.

Well, don't forget, other thing cost money too and I'm sure taking the Middle Mountains will be worth a pretty penny or two.

We would need to place troops there, make patrols, build some forts, and maybe we need to make a whole new army to cover the area (army of the mountains) so it will cost some money but we should get some as well for our efforts in the battle.

Gunnery expansion too. Currently the Middle Mountains(1-2 year timer before it gets harder, 3-5 years before it's back to monster infested) and Gunnery Expansion(already ticking backwards, but the battle at Nuln bought us some time because their industries can't expand while besieged) are time critical.

If we don't set up in the mountains it will fill back up with monsters.

If we don't do gunnery expansion, Nuln will ramp up production and then just undercut the market from us using economies of scale.

Unless we can get another stewardship slot opened up, it's going to be one or the other.

Thankfully taking over the Middle Mountains would most likely be a military action and the gun industry expandsion would be a stewardship action.

That way we can take both at the same time.

Right, we need to fortify the mountains first, THEN we can extend the mining operations and clean out all the dead bodies. Possibly a Piety action as well to make sure no Nurgle setting up from all the corpses.

Eh it doesn't really matter much if he was. Taurox is horrifying to fight directly against but he lacks the strategic mind of Khazrak or Gorthor and doesn't have the sheer spiritual importance of Morghur, if he shows up we should be able to just shoot the shit out of him or kill him with magic.

With any luck that how it'll go. Of course actually exploiting the resources there to any degree is going to be a while.

It's more important to lock down the mountains first so we can wait.

Hopefully once we are own locking the Mountains down we can start doing some more mining and/or get some Dwarves to set up some Holds to mine it for us at reduced prices.

It always matters. We have to face the bull the bloodthirster is thinking of in battle else Ostland gets devastated. Naturally this bull won't be alone. Might have some of the more tougher enemies like jabberslythes.
