Kinda surprised that the Ottilian Emperors had the support of the Ulric cult, of all things. I always assumed that the War of Three Emperors was also a religious three-way war between the cults of Sigmar, Ulric and Taal&Rhya, with Talabecland being the stronghold of the later cult. After all, they are the only majority religion outside of the big two, and before Ostermark seceded from Talabecland, they were stronk as fuck even compared to the rich southern provinces by sheer size.

Good to know.

And yet, it's totally canon, even outside of my own words. Sigmar's Heirs talks about it. The Cult of Ulric in Middenheim was having fights with the provincial leader of Middenland, so they straight up said 'screw you' to the Middenland elector at the time and shifted the heart of the cult over to Talabheim because Ottilia said she had proof denouncing Sigmar's god-status. Which worked perfectly with the Ar-Ulric's political needs i.e. flipping off the Graf at the time.

It would be around 2 later that the new Graf let the Ar-Ulric back to at least visit the Flame of Ulric, on the condition that the entire cult took on oaths of celibacy. You know, because that Graf was terrified of them building a priest-based dynasty while in Talabheim. [said forced oath of celibacy has been overturned as of Turn 26, I believe]

Two different occasions of Graf/Ar-Ulric coming to major conflict with one another in the same general 'Era'.

Though I'm sure that by the time the Wolf Emperors started getting going, the Cult might have shifted back or split itself somewhat, by then the Ottilian Emperors were definitely using as much as 'we've been calling ourselves Emperor for centuries and centuries' as much as the original Ulrican support.

Do we ever find out what her supposed 'proof' was or is it just left as a random detail?

Oh, it was totally fake. Absolutely fallacious. But it was enough 'proof' at the time to get Ulrican support and rally up those who were of other faiths that didn't like just how much influence the Cult of Sigmar had at the time, as such claims have been made since Helsturm first bobbled his ass out of the woods and said 'hey Sigmar is a God now'. Ulricans even in Karl Franz's time could be heard saying that Sigmar was not a God, or if he was he shouldn't be the primary, that sort of stuff. At the time, the Nuln Emperor who was elected was regarded as a blatant tool of the Cult of Sigmar, which had grown so extensively in authority and influence that they were regarded as essentially 'owning' whichever Nulner Emperor was alive at the time regardless of original province of birth. Ottilia outright banned the Cult of Sigmar from all of Talabecland, it is said largely for revenge for Stirland's taxes on the Cult of Ulric. Said Stirland taxes had come about from the same first Nulner Emperor who sparked the whole thing, the man who was a puppet of the Grand Theogonist. And it all tumbled on. She was anti-Cult of Sigmar, quite strongly, and no doubt felt that she was unfairly cheated out of the election due to the absolute control the Cult of Sigmar held over the various Electors, too much for her to accept losing. So she declared herself Empress, and so on, and so forth.

You are missing two very important things from this tally and that is HOPE and humility. Nearly everywhere Freddy has stuck his ruddy drunken nose he has left hope for a better future (for his friends, allies and the forces of order). He also has left behind a trail of arrogant people who he has forced, often at fist/sword point, to face reality and either admit or at least accept that they were either wrong about something or that they were at fault.

Caledor continues to refuse our imports, though.

A work in progress good sir, a work in progress.

Edit: It is not like they can out stubborn Ostland, Ostland has been out stubborning the Skaven, The forces of Undeath and the four Chaos Gods and even a section of DWARVEN TRADITION.

Hope and Humbling, not Hope and Humility. Humility would imply that the Ostlanders were the humble ones, which kinda clashes with their being characterized as prideful repeatedly.

Nice, that Smogtown bit concerns me a little. Might want to spread out some of the future production a little to other cities. Or just expand further until you can put them outside the city quarter.
Spreading out industry isn't really economically practical until transport logistics improves a great deal. Arguably easier to centralize them so that they could be regulated together at least, and you can let the wind blast the smog somewhere nobody would complain about.

That was fucking great @torroar. Whenever I was reading the wiki pages for cities like Altdorf or Nuln or Middenheim, I always thought about how cool it would be if something like that existed for this quest's Wulfenburg. I never thought it would actually happen, but now that it has, I can safely say that it lived up to my expectations and then some.

It was really nice to see some exploration of the history of the Hohenzollern family, since that's something I've been interested in ever since it was revealed that they had ruled Ostland since the time of Sigmar. Take your time with the update, man, since this has given me plenty of information to chew on.

Methinks we could start getting along with the Tiranocii and Chracians. Nowhere else will we find more kindred spirits.

Smog isn't really a problem beyond the immediate area. If they just stopped all the industries, it'd clear up in a day or two. The soot would be more of an issue there.

Ah! But we shall never stop! So might as well spread it out a bit so that people right next to it don't complain too much. Not by much and no rush but having more than one center of industry in the Province would be useful.

Guns in Wolfenburg, artisan melee weapons in the Child Flame Fortress city maybe? Ships in Salkalten as usual. Maybe a satellite testing site for the engine stuff to outside the City Limits but withing the farm area?

Also how do you export Government?
