We are most likely going to get along best with Dwarves since we act like them so much we might as well be one.

For the forest we need to check if there are any Wood Elves in there to both asking for help and make sure we don't bug them when clearing out the forest.

We also need to train an elite group of hunters and rangers that can fight in the Forest the best. Maybe we can ask the Wood Elves to help train them?

Our piety is lower than Jakob "Pretty sure a horse has more respect for Sigmar" started out as. That said, I like that his low piety is indicative of his disdain for ALL gods. I'd really like it if this guy manages to pioneer something akin to those Necron whatsits I heard about a while ago, the ones that seal an area off from the Warp completely. Not to that degree, we'd have to have much more bullshit learning that we do for THAT, but something that limits the influence of the gods. I dunno how that'd work for someone without a shred of magic, but it seems like an interesting goal.
 
So they're too weak to actually fight the monsters? Why would we let them push us around? They can have a smaller forest to play in while we purify the rest.

They can kill them fine, but there are an absurd number of Greenskins and Beastmen in the Forest. Individually Wood Elves are much better than humans on average at fighting.
 
Then they should support our efforts to bring the threat down to a more manageable size.

They have been fighting an invisible war in the Forests of the Old World with the Beastmen and Forest Goblins since forever. Without them Beastmen and Greenskin threats would be much worse. It's just that the Greenskins and Beastmen have bullshit numbers that they can't completely clear out forests. The Wood Elves are quality but they are being drowned in numbers and they need our help to make up for their low numbers.
 
We don't even know if that particular forest has a significant Wood Elf presence. Also whether they are new or old Wood Elves, because burn the new ones, they have been made into assholes extraordinaire by GW.

Get our heir so he's ruling over both Ostland and at least part of Kislev.

I know I voted for Ostland instead of Praag ....but I'd like to have my cake and eat it too. I want both.

I would love to marry someone like Elsa... long as we can fix up the Piety thing.
It might be different from what happened to Jakob given we're this far up north?

I guess we shouldn't burn down all of it then.

Just a bit maybe? A few square kilometers? A few trees?
 
If anything we should try and get in good with the spirits of the forests.
Because that could mean Murder-dryads coming to our aid.

We can burn down corrupted parts not even the Wood Elves think they can fix and might even encourage we burn it. It's like cutting off an infected limb to save the rest of the body but in this case that limb can grow back over time.

Burn it down in sections and before we do that have a ton of people shout really really loudly "We are going to burn down this area of the forest. If you are not a monster that we seek to kill, please leave now." and have our army surround the place with guns to shoot all the monsters that come out that can comprehend speech.

Hell, if that actually get's monsters to leave the forest we don't even need to burn it down, just say we are and shoot everything that tries to escape.


But yeah, no, probably be a bad idea.

I mean, for instance, we have a lot of towns in that forest. If a fire goes out of control we might lose most of our citizens and infrastructure in one fell swoop.

Elsa for a wife would be awesome and having ice magic can help in the long run when the Norscan try to invade from the sea.
