Are the Romulans scouting? I got the impression that their fleet was holding position guarding their colony. No new options that I can see except for the phaser kits that would finish too late to matter, so voting as discussed.
[X] [Starfleet Command] Mobilise an Asset (1 turn)
[X] [Federation Emergency Council] Mobilise an Asset (1 turn)
Probably an internal and an external diplomacy team unless there is some overwhelmingly good new option.
[X] [Andorian Civil Engineering Team] Fortify Solitude Outpost (+2 C, +2 S) (2 turns)
[X] [Starfleet Medical Command] Evacuate Liath V (55k) to Andor Sector (1 turn)
[X] [Tellarite Mining Expedition] Scuttle Arcori III shipyards (1 turn)
Fortify the largest colony with shipyards (evacuation is impractical and it's a strategically important base), scuttle the shipyards at the colony we just evacuated and evacuate the last remaining shipyard colony. All three locations have already been targets last turn.
[X] [Starfleet Infectious Disease Institute] Biophage Vaccine Research Rush - (1 turn)
[X] [Vulcan Science Academy Detachment] Ulith III Biophage General Research Rush (1 turn)
[X] [Starfleet Tactical Command - Tiger Team] Biophage Combat Research Rush (1 turn)
[X] [Commodore T'Faer] Suicide Shuttle Countermeasures (1 turn)
Research changes as previously discussed.
[X] [Starfleet Tactical Command - Runabout Recon Squadron] Scout Neutral Zone Area 3 (2 turn)
Continue scouting rimwards, the Romulans are already covering Area 2.
[X] [RBZ Fleet - Commodore T'Faer] Own Initiative
T'Faer has been doing a fine job so far, no need to micromanage.
[X] [Admiral] accept
Are we sure of this?Continue scouting rimwards, the Romulans are already covering Area 2.

Need a break here. Darn formatting errors, eh?[X] [RBZ Fleet - Commodore T'Faer] Own Initiative[X] [Admiral] accept
...Hey, if we really do have the best ship in their fleet, it would be irresponsible to not loan it out as a flagship! Any smug-points gained are merely incidental.
Whoops, thanks.
They were present for Liath V and was able to detect the Biophage from orbit, however not with sufficient clarity to make any important observation at this stage. They were not present at the evacuation, as they were assisting USS Kumari at the Indi Beta point.@OneirosTheWriter : You didn't get around to answering my question about the empaths yet and I think we'd know in character by now? Did I get it right that they are stationed on the Kumari, failed to sense anything special from orbit when cleansing Liath V and weren't present at any of the encounters with cloaked shuttles?
So, they're being moved around so much that their contribution/bonus is... for lack of a better word, random? They were present for Liath V and was able to detect the Biophage from orbit, however not with sufficient clarity to make any important observation at this stage. Excellent. Now that they have been shown to be potentially useful, and empathic contact has apparently been shown not to be all that terrible, at least at great distance, we should consider asking Betazed for more teams who need not be quite as experienced. Have they changed their mind on insisting to stay in one group by any chance? They were present for Liath V and was able to detect the Biophage from orbit, however not with sufficient clarity to make any important observation at this stage. Not random, they are staying on the flagship just as you would expect. So, they're being moved around so much that their contribution/bonus is... for lack of a better word, random?
If we manage to wheedle a second team, maybe try a mix and match: rearrange things so each team is half of team A (experienced) and half of team B (new). That way, they can stay in their teams, and still be somewhat experienced in detecting the 'phageExcellent. Hush, don't give Oneiros ideas!A rather uncomfortable thought: Crew experience boni have a pretty big mechanical impact in this game. If the Inflictor could compose a dream team based on the best skills of all assimilated crews and replicate that across all ships that would seriously suck. Yet another potential way for the situation to already be doomed.
