Goddammit, there's always something I miss
There's also some shenanigans here:

Current Construction

1 Excelsior-class @ San Francisco Fleet Yards Berth A (ETC 2314.Q1 - Crews deduct 2313.Q1)
2 Constitution-B class @ San Francisco Fleet Yards Berths 1, 2 (ETC 2312.Q4 - Crews deduct 2309.Q4)

1 Excelsior-class @ 40 Eridani A Berth A (ETC 2312.Q1 - Crew deduct 2311.Q1)
2 Constitution-B class @ 40 ERidani Berth 1, 2 (ETC 2310.Q1 - Crews deduct 2311.Q1)

[X][CREW] Explorer Corps

[X][BUILD] Two Excelsiors and One Connie-B

[X][NAME] USS James T. Kirk

Fun fact: according to a background okudagram in Nemesis, Starfleet had a USS Archer.

Even more fun fact: The USS Sarek is canon.

Thuir is promoted I see.

I want that man as Admiral one day. He has the temperament for it. So does T'Lorel, come to think of it, but they're at different stages of their careers. e: Or Straak. Lots of good commanders coming through our EC.

[X][BUILD] Two Excelsiors and One Connie-B

[X][NAME] USS Stargazer

I know that it's not the perfect name, but if we leave Stargazer as an unreffitted Excelsior when all the rest are Excelsior-A type, then it'll be plenty clunky.

[X][NAME] USS James T. Kirk

An old and honorable naval tradition for officers who gave their lives for the good of the service. (Several times, considering it's Kirk.) By the same token though we should probably nominate some names from the Biophage Crisis for our newer cruisers or Connie-Bs.

And on that day, the Stars wept at what would befall them with a ship named Kirk.

I recall that @AKuz made omakes about posthumous medals being awarded from the Kadeah battles.

Best graduation gift ever!

That coffee mug? Totes has Best Gramma written on it ;)

I did offer Tiberius for an explorer name, way back. I think I still like it better than Kirk.

I do resent the lack of support for what is clearly the best option, aka Miran :V

I do like the idea of a starship named Miran but how about we save that name for our new Oberth. Then we can assign it to the CBZ and say it's watching for cloaked ships. The salt will be glorious.

That reminds me-before the war between the Romulans and the Klingons kicks of and the Kadesh leave their world forever, we should have someone make some sort of Kadesh Cenotaph. I'm thinking put it either in a L4 or L5 point, or somewhere on the surface of the planet where it's tectonically stable enough to last the next ten million years, engrave it in Romulan, Kadeshi, Klingon and the major Federation languages, and make an enduring memorial to both our success in stopping the Biophage/Inflictor Crisis, and our failure to save half a billion lives.
