Are we planning on the Excelsior to be another explorator? Because if so we're going to need to use political power to boost our Exploration Corps personnel because otherwise we won't have enough to crew it and the one that's completing in 06.

We may want to instead use those PP to retire the current Academy commander and appoint our own so we can shift more people into the explorer corp.

If we don't get double, we should swap Spock over, he'll be able to handle the diplomatic research in one year. Which /is/ in theme for him

We should probably look into getting Spock some understudies or something so he's not literally the only person in Starfleet with Xenopsych expertise for situations like this when we need to use the fact that he's also the smartest person in Starfleet.

Okay, we need to form a Medical team then. Like I said, McCoy is a good choice to put in charge of this emergency. Tho we could possibly second the Challorn to them as an emergency measure as a dedicated platform for racing around. Maybe add an Oberth to this task force as well?

ah, so we have double incentive to request a med team then? Cool

Hopefully having McCoy will mean that they don't start at level 1. If they start at 2 they can make meaningful progress whereas if they start at level 1 it's still a good idea to pull Spock off Xenopsych because his bonus will be larger, and just have the new medical team grind xp with basic medical research.

Actually @OneirosTheWriter, what class is Challorn? I can't find if it's written anywhere.

I have a write-in brewing around in my mind for when pol turn comes up that might help get us a higher than normal team-if that's a valid thing we can get. @OneirosTheWriter would a sufficient write-in net us a med team with a higher starting xp?

She's a Constellation-class cruiser.

It would certainly influence the choice of teams that I make available.

You know, the Amarki to me seem to be the Boisterous Bruiser of Federation races; they like a good fight(though not to the extent of Klingons), love adventure, love meeting new people, and after a fight is over they'll treat everyone to a round of drinks on them.

Well, to put it in starbound Stellaris terms, yeah

Edit:Brain glitch, please stand by!

Hecks to the yeah! Gunna pick up the DLC too. Wars in Heaven e'erday!

*Cough* I'm keeping my eye on the Trek Mod too. I need more than Romulan species portraits to sate my need for Trek. I mean the quest does it well

But sometimes you just have to Romulan! Am I right or what?

*looks around expectantly, hand raised for high five*

Eh, I'm only a casual trek fan, though this quest is making me want to rewatch TNG(I grew up watching that on TV :p )

Honestly, I think TNG is the first show I can really remember watching. My mom and I used to watch new Trek together until Enterprise ended.

I think the spirit of the show (Which it sometimes failed to live up to or bungled) was very formative for me.

I think there a few lists out there with the good/important episodes marked out so that you can watch them and avoid the dross ("Code of Honour" eughhhhhhhh)

SFDdebries also reviews a lot of Trek and sci-fi stuff, and is pretty insightful and funny, so I'd recommend watching his stuff (On phone, but www.sfdebris.com should do the trick)

EDIT: LOL, auto linking. Didn't know it did that.
