Don't suppose we could get a combat log?
It would be a bit askew from reality because we picked a point in the logs for a Dreamer intervention.

However, I can say that the relevant ship stats you would have got are:

Refit-Capital: C8 H6 L8
Frigate: C2 H2 L3

A Refit Capital is similar to an Amarkian Riala in terms of capacity ... but larger, more expensive, slower to build, harder to crew.

Someone in fandom called it the..........sigh............... apollo class
I dont mind the name, but by Q this ship is ugly. To me at least.
It's not original in any way but considering what we want it for how about the Guardian class heavy cruiser?
...it would fit, but ISC has dibs. Aegis means pretty much the same though?
Or the shield class. Aegis seems more like the name of a ship rather than a class to me.
Aegis is a legendary shield, but the word is also used as a more impressive synonim to shield. Under the aegis of someone mean under their protection for example.
If it was only the one shield from legends, it wouldnt fit, but with all the other meanings it fits perfectly I believe.
I'd settle for a generic "Goddess" class or something, or a City-class since we're not going to build a New Orleans, or nominate a first letter for all of them, or simply just accept that we don't actually stick with our naming themes properly anymore and have somebody roll some dice.
Not goddess, doesnt fit us as all. City class would fit the Galaxy, but not this.
Indomitable-class.

The Federation will never give up.
A bit too... braggy, militaristic to me? A fine ship name though.
I still want a Striker class. Sport positions have pretty vivid designations often, so we can create ship names from the other races that are still graspable and fun for us readers.
Though I admit that naming scheme could be a bit too playful for Starfleet.
Striker sounds like a vanguard corvette to me.
How about the Mountain Class? USS Olympus and USS Everest for the Human mountains, for example.
Too slow, immovable. Would fit a battlecruiser, but not a high performance generalist I believe.
Using it for ship type means using it for the first example of the ship, which is fine. I don't want one ship named for an adjective or noun and the rest for proper nouns. That wouldn't make sense.

Also, call it the Kahurangi-class, name for admirals.
I though Kahurangi was earmarked for the LE? I suppose that we could use it now, its a good name. Might be a start of a tradition though, so watch out for that.
We could follow the galaxy -> nebula pattern and call the heavy cruiser the Envoy class.
Doesnt fit I think, not for a non P specced cruiser.
[S'harien lost with all hands]
... o7
For some reason, I still hold hope though...
Captain's Log, Stardate 28125, USS Reformation - Captain Brian Kisawa
(Renaissance, Rigel)

The Starkin have sent a ship of their own.

The Basilica of Lakhept.

Yeah. Turns out their own captain is about as confused as we are.
Somehow, I knew this was going to happen.
Captain's Log, Stardate 28117, USS Lexington
(Constitution-B, Licori Border Zone)

Along with the Bon Vivant, we responded to a containment breach at a Licori bioresearch facility orbiting Ynnead. We were able to successfully contain the plague outbreak and synthesize a cure.

[Gain 15 pp, 15 rp]
??? Thats one of the biggest rewards I have seen in a while (colonies aside), and from such a super tiny log? Whats going on here?
Personal Log, Zara Ka'Athnon

Top Priorities:

-Smile!
-Get all crew home alive!
Oh dear god no no not again! Stay strong Zara!
They've come themselves. An entire town is there, Courageous is, after all, a friend.
Best spacewhales ever.
Also, the Courageous more than earned her keep. Let's just hope this doesn't result in the Breen dedicating a fleet to space whaling.
They try, they die.
Yeah, we have three EC ships operating in that region and a massive task force. If the Breen got stuck in against the Romulans after committing an act of war against the Federation, we'd team up and mulch them-whereas if they withdraw, the Federation probably won't prosecute an aggressive campaign into Breen space. So they're likely going to withdraw for the time being.
Question is, do they know this? Isolationist remember? Probably not good at xenopsych.

Omake - Academy Gardens : The Price we Pay - Zerohour
Well, I was going to save this for next year since its when Picard finally joins Starfleet, and also because it probably needs some more work, but in light of the last set of logs...

Academy Gardens: The Price We Pay

Jean Luc resisted the urge to sigh as he and the rest of the newly inducted cadets followed their guide on the mandatory tour of Starfleet Academy. Each and every one of them knew every square meter of the Academy, they had worked long and hard to get here, and they were still treated like children, forced to follow behind like ducklings trailing their mother.

He wasn't even an instructor! He was a gardener. Jean Luc had spent more than enough time following a gardener in his life. He had hoped that he was leaving this behind, but it seemed that fate had one last curve ball to throw at him.

Still, regulations were regulations, and as a recently admitted cadet, rocking the boat now probably wasn't in his best interests to rock the boat. Best to just pay attention like a good cadet, and hopefully the whole painful experience would be over soon.

The tour of the campus was dull as expected, and he had hoped that it would end there, but it seemed their tour guide had something else in mind, leading them to a rather extensive garden.

Perhaps garden was the wrong term. It was far larger than the name would imply, closer to park. A variety of pants from the various member worlds were carefully tended here, with a series of two meter granite walls scattered throughout it, creating a maze of passages leading deeper into the garden, the depths concealed from sight.

Without any hesitation their guide led them into the passages, clearly familiar with their intended destination. As they moved deeper, Jean Luc made a note to inform one of the instructors of the poor maintenance of the garden. The walls were in terrible condition, the white scattered with dark spots seemingly at random. One of the groundskeepers was apparently working on it, but he seemed to be making it worse. The dark blotch seemed to be larger every time he reach up to work on it.

Despite the general lack of interest, Jean Luc admitted to himself that aside from the wall, it was well cared for. Numerous statues of icon ships and legendary captains were scattered through the maze-like design of the garden. Idly, a part of his mind wondered if they would put one of him up sometime in the future.

The tour stopped, as the groundskeeper paused, looking at one statue in particular. Jean Luc's eyes followed his, and recognized Captain Kirk, standing proudly at attention, with a smirk on his lips as he seemed to look down on them, wondering what fate had in store for them.

"I'm sure that most of you see this as a testament to the best and brightest of Starfleet, that this garden is nothing more than a record of Starfleet's many accomplishments and glory. You are wrong."

Jean Luc looked up, certain that he had misheard him.

"Things are rarely as simple as they appear on the surface. For example, the only thing any of you paid attention to in this garden was the statues. You can't be blamed for that, they're certainly more impressive than the plants, and they show the heroes you aspire to be like. But I'm certain none of you spared a second glance at the walls surrounding them."

"Each one of the bricks built into this wall is dedicated to a cadet the moment they graduate and accept an assignment in Starfleet. Every single one, regardless of if they serve on a flagship explorer, or take on the far less glamorous work of maintaining the archives.

Each brick contains two data rods. The first is a professional record. Comments from their instructors and commanding officers, Opinions of peers and underlings, and commedations and black marks, everything that Starfleets deems necessary to record is stored on it.

The second is a personal record, a collection of thoughts that they wanted the future generations of starfleet to know about, things they considered important. In addition to those, for Starfleet members listed as killed or missing in action, editorials from friends and family members are included as well.

Each and every one of these is open to the public, and kept up to ate as much as possible. The color of the brick is changed based off of their status. White is standard for all graduates, Yellow for those that join the fleet proper, Bronze for the Explorer Corps, and Gold for those that make officer rank. We also have Black for those that retire and pass on from natural causes, and dark grey for those missing in action or presumed captured.

"What about red?" Jean Luc found himself asking, thoughts drifting back to the growing blotch they had passed.

"Killed in action." The groundskeeper said, before he placed a small projector on one of the crimson bricks, and a hologram sprang to life. It was a rather tall man with a somewhat unshaven look. Despite that, he had a sharp look in his eyes, one that the square frames of his glasses did little to hide.

"I never really thought I would graduate. Hell, I never thought that my application would be accepted. But my dad was always telling me to reach for the stars, though I don't think he expected me to take it quite so literally!" he laughed, "Still, I can't wait to get out there and see what there is to see. Of course, I'll be writing to my girlfriend constantly, don't want her to find someone else while I'm exploring the cosmos!"

Jean Luc looked beyond the projection, noting the dark red color of the brick. A closer look allowed him to make out the details enscribed on it.

"I'm sure each and every one of you dream of becoming an Admiral, or even the Commander of Starfleet itself, but never forget that Starfleet is more than the sum of its parts, that each and every one of them depends on thousands of others to make their jobs possible. People will die at your command, and that is a burden few people find themselves capable of carrying. I hope you are strong enough to bear it."

The tour continued, but Jean Luc found himself hesitating, taking a long look at the walls surrounding him. He remained in thought as the groundskeeper led them out of the garden maze, stopping only when they passed the gardener from before.

"What happened?"

"We only recently got word. S'harien was lost, along with all hands." he said, before turning back to his work. This close, it was easier to see the grim expression as the pristine white was replaced wit a dark crimson.

Jean Luc lapsed back into silence, irritation banished and excitement dimmed. It was a well known fact that space was not a safe place, but know that was an entirely different thing than seeing it laid out so starkly.

A small part of him wondered if this was really the best course of action for him, if he was really willing to risk his life like this. His father would doubtlessly welcome him back. He would certainly make a stink of it, and act as if he was perfectly fine never seeing him again, but eventually things would become normal again.

He considered for a moment, before dismissing it. His path was set, it had been set for months, years even, and he wouldn't let anything turn him from his chosen path. The excitement didn't return, but it was replaced with a steadfast determination.

He would walk down this path, knowing full well the consequences of his decision. He couldn't offer anything less to his comrades in arms.

If we can retrieve the second Basilica of Lakhept and get it to a Dock that can fit it. We can give the Honiani another ship of her type. All they would have to do is rename and rechristen it something other than what it used to be since our Basilica of Lakhept still exists and its crew is still intact. Albeit very confused and in mourning for the crew of the other Basilica of Lakhept. If that other Honiani chapel ship is salvageable we can retrieve her and do the same for that one as well and give the Honiani another chapel class starship.

There's crazy space-warping shenanigans going on inside these ships, and in the end of the Log it's explicitly stated that no one there thinks these are safe to salvage.

No free interdimensional Space Hulks.

At this time how much does Jean Luc idolize Starfleet captains? I feel the death of Demora Sulu and S'harien would have an cause an bigger uproar with the cadets in general or with Jean Luc due to her feats.
I know they have this realization about the garden but the loss would stirred more reaction than just Jean Luc determination.

"Interesting Times" indeed, in faux Chinese sense.

The whole Courageous story makes me wonder if all the trouble we've been having "up North" is just the Harmony. Remember, Breen wear something like encounter suits as part of their culture; nobody really knows how they look like. They could look like us. They could be you. They could be me. They could even be-

Also ouch. One Excelsior-class lost, another put into dock for a long time. I wonder if we will ever discover what really happened to S'Harien.

-Picard asked the guy in passing, rather than in front of the rest of the cadets. The way I played it the word hasn't really gotten out yet, aside from Starfleet and family members who lost someone. Rest of the cadets are still in the dark about it.

-I added the S'harien last minute when I saw that we lost it. Probably should have adjusted it somewhat because of that, but kind of just wanted to get it out there. Might do another piece about Demora specifically, but not sure. Probably not, if I'm honest about it.

Behind the doctor, the main screen flickers, static creeping into the visual. But there isn't enough damage to block out the view of the Breen Battleship turning, her smaller companion already fleeing; as into view come the glorious unreal forms of Dreamers.

They've come themselves. An entire town is there, Courageous is, after all, a friend.
The Dreamers remain the best thing we've found amongst the stars yet.
Send them more hugs!

(EC Excelsior-A)

We've discovered the source of that large number of warp signatures. It's an entire Dreamer town, and they're towing Courageous in the middle of the group.

I am in contact with Commander Sharizz and they inform me that Courageous engaged a Breen warfleet in the Neath Nebula located between Breen and Romulan space.

Sharizz informs me that the Dreamers are insisting on escorting us to the nearest Federation medical facility to see to Courageous' treatment immediately.

Lightning: crackles and booms ominously

"I have lost one cousin this year. You tried to take from us another. You will regret that."

Leslie:

"...A... a lot of us. Goddamnit, a lot of us."

Victoria: "You want some company on that trip to see him?"
