And surprisingly it's a Gretarian with an aptitude for tactics of all things. I mean, you'd expect that to be very rare, considering this is a people who thought arming our ships made us crazy warmongers at first contact. That sounds like an interesting story.

The gretarians are pacifist, but they have a deeply buried instinct that resurfaces when tracking hishmeri movements.

Reinforce TF Handshake and TF Beyond with TF Shield remaining secondary. I don't see a reason to reinforce Shield much yet but a ship or two would definitely help.

So two more posts then we get the 2321 Q4 Month 1 post? Or does the two Ambassador's get their own launch ceremony post?

One of the Ambassadors is the Enterprise. I wouldn't be surprised in the least if she at least doesn't get her own Launch ceremony Post. If necessary I will write it myself.

Handshake has done pretty well this year, managing to get its tag to 113/300 in only 3 quarters of work. DCs may rise because of Cardassian awareness, but if they could maintain that pace then the Ashalla Pact tag could be cleared (maybe) by the end of 2322. Of course, no surprise, that's the one we put an EC ship on.

Beyond has been doing not so well, barely making any progress in 3/4 of a year. Just a big sad trombone of a year. I wonder too if they aren't getting too sucked into the OSA's games as the only means of diplomatic outreach. Tossing ink around is fun, but at the end of the day you actually need to talk policy.

Shield has thus far prevented any successful raids, which is good, but tag progress remains frustratingly slow. 3/4 of the year in and we're at 30/100. At this rate it could take 3 years to clear this piddly 100 point tag, and of course the longer it gets stretched out the greater likelihood the Hishmeri get lucky and actually hit a Federation colony.

That's cause HoH is using their TF and we seem to be having diplomatic!GBZ thing where both sides attempt to outship each other.
Only with less shooting.

Alright, I'll admit it: With the full power of hindsight, it's clear we really could have benefited from a diplo-push on the Muuyozoi this year. The HoH is basically countering our TF with their own TF, so we clearly didn't put enough resources into it this year.

I know it's way down in terms of priority, but I'd like a Task Force working on the Bolian's Isolationism as well. Maybe only two or three ships, but I think it would be worth it. We got a hint last Intel report that the Horizon were trying to reach out to them, so I have a suspicion that within a few years they'll be getting a Horizon Influence tag of their own if we don't do something.

Licori Task Force.

Been wanting one since the Task Force system was introduced.

Licori (Arcadian Empire): 100/100
-[Romulan Influence: 0/100]
-[Horizon Influence: 0/100]
-[Slavery: 0/500]
-[Unequal Feudal Society: 0/500]

Does this have anything to do with "fetch?" Or do the Hishmeri just have a particularly strong cosmic odor?

Why does the Courageous keep getting into war-sparking conflicts?
Enterprise:

"Because she's too gutsy not to go poking things. It says so in the name. We always make them regret hurting her, though. Remember the Ihrloth? No? Exactly."

Protecting the Licori from Romulan/Klingon raiders should count for something ...

So, can we just dump all our extra Mirandas into Shield? It seems like they'd be most useful encouraging the Hishmeri to keep their hands to themselves.

Presumably when the Honiani get arround to signing on the Federation charter doted line there will be a D requirement for that sector so expect more demand for ships in the not too distant future.

Commodore Samhaya Mrr'Shan smiles as she shakes hands with the Horizonian Singer, "An impressive showing," she hisses through teeth bared into a wide smile as the lights focus in on the two, "A lot of effort just to lose."

"Sports isn't everything, Commodore!" Bubbles Intendant Karyn nas Azhlee with a wide, friendly grin for the cameras, as she gracefully moves a rogue lock of black hair back into place, "But if it's all you have…"
Enterprise:

[breaks down in fits of uncontrollable giggling]

"Oh she thinks so? Please, please let me at them..."

Captain's Log, Stardate 23653.9, USS Endurance - Captain Abigail Taggart

Charal's captain should get tested for Seyek ancestry, because they slithered right in and slithered right back out with no one the wiser.

We managed to establish contact with the dissidents, and explain the situation. Instead of a coded transmission, we had them broadcast a general distress call. Endurance slipped into the identity of the USS Odyssey and we made the sort of wild charge to sophonitarian aid that you'd expect from the Explorer Corps. Then, it was just a matter of patiently enduring a… very... long lecture from the captain of the Ronagot about borders and internal issues...

Enter stage left, USS Endurance, personified, a figure of mild-mannered appearance and a quiet demeanor. Practically covered by webs of scars, internal and external. Enter stage right, CDS Ronagot. Let the lecturing begin...

Ronagot: "...And furthermore, your behavior is an appalling affront to the territorial integrity and dignity of our beloved Dawiar friends and ARE YOU LISTENING TO ME!?"

Endurance, smiling glassily: "You're trying to be frightening. It's adorable."

Ronagot: "...eepy."
