The ISC are probably still doing excessive base-building on their first GBZ claim anyway. So I don't think we'll see much initiative out of them.

As for the Ashalla Pact, as much as we'd like for them to poke the hornet's nest and get stung, they're not that dumb. They'll most likely move cautiously with the ISC at first and then cautiously ignore them when it looks like they're not going to be suddenly claiming large swathes of space.

Tries to think what is due then. Ambassador launch time?

A comment: went and looked at the ship build spreadsheet to confirm that was the right time period I was remembering. It (at the time of writing) has 6 Ambassadors queued up to build at UP in 2321Q4. So I went to the Fleet tab to see what Starfleet would look when that wave finishes in 2325Q3 (assumes we follow the current build plan exactly and take no losses - ie not happening...)

8 Ambassador
21 Excelsior-A

18 Renaissance
8 Constellation-A
7 Constitution-B
1 Constitution-A

1 Next Gen Frigate
12 Kepler
18 Centaur-B
14 Miranda-A
4 Oberth

We have a Constitution-A in the rolls? really?

So it seems Gorac shares my opinion of mandatory command shuffling.

I think it as less about the reshuffling and more about the "infinite wisdom" of reshuffling all three COs at roughly the same time

I wonder if Tellarites are like that one guy at work whose pessimism grows in proportion to his confidence.
You want to leave room to escalate.
Also, I've heard that the more a British soldier complains, the better things are going. By the time they're just quietly working without mentioning anything, everything is on fire and the enemy has machine gun emplacements with a clear view of everyone and close air support.
So it might be partly like that too.

Aren't the Sydraxians back in the GBZ? And for that matter, with them now affiliates, shouldn't they be in the Starfleet section?

The Sydraxians don't have much of a fleet anymore, their economy is clawing its way out of a pit, and their government is still very fragile. Expansionism is probably the last thing on their minds.

Did we decide if we're giving them back Deva and Lora? If we offer to give them back and help defend them (should be easy as they're already behind our lines) until they have a few ships or outposts it could be a big diplomacy win. It could also be a good way to shake up the Dawiar with their End of Ambition belief if they left the Pact and joined us.

That said it might not be our decision to make. It could be more of a Council decision that we would support or oppose with pp or other commitments.

Needless to say, the Cardassians have started probing at our borders again. Thus far without too much intensity, though Inspire and Winterwind tangled with a Jaldun, driving them away from an Enio system.
Which Enio system?

[Completed 30sr/yr mine for UESPA]
FYI to thread, this isn't new - it's referring to the "5 Firefly X, (UESPA), Class M, 30sr/yr - Major Colony potential" that was completed in 2320.Q1.

Amarki Confederacy Fleet
1 Riala-A
2 Hebrinda-A
1 Centaur-A
2 Brieca-A
2 Calac-A

3 Cargo, 2 Freighter, 1 Colony+Engineer+Prospector+Passenger
1 Super-Freighter

...

Unified Hives of the Apiata
2 Light Queenships
4 Stingers
2 Foragers

6 Bumblebees
4 Worker Bees

This Member World Assets section is (still) out of date.

They're already given back. There were logs about this.

The Cardassians finding out about the Sydraxians and getting pissy is immaterial. If they send a response, not even the Pacifists will protest us breaking their nose again.

Yes, there are sections in the GBZ update that are not up to date. Hopefully when Oneiros has time and his back isn't in pain he will take an hour or so and go through and fix up his master copy for the next posting.

The ISC are doing something.
The Syndraxians are doing something.
The Cardassians are poking.

Assuming the Assets section is correct:
Starfleet
(Capital)
1 Excelsior-A
(Cruiser)
4 Renaissance
1 Constituion-B
(Frigate)
2 Centaur-A
10 Miranda-A

Apatia
(Cruiser)
3 Little Queenships
(Frigate)
6 Stingers
2 Forager

Amarkia
(Capital)
1 Riala-A
(Cruiser)
2 Hebrinda-A
(Frigate)
1 Anacil
1 Mielab
1 Centaur-A
2 Brieca-A
2 Calac-A

Caitlin
(Capital)
1 Fathership
(Frigate)
4 Swamer

Humans
(Cruiser)
2 Renaissance
(Frigate)
1 Centaur-A
2 Miranda-A

So if the Pact gets rowdy again, we have 3 Capital Ships, 12 Cruisers and 34 Frigates in the area. 4 of the Frigates will be on someone's refit list (Centaur-A->B) sometime in the next year or two. Presumably replaced when that happens.

Yeah. It's especially toxic when you rearrange the entire senior leadership cadre at once; there is almost never a good reason to do that in my opinion.

I wonder if Tellarites are like that one guy at work whose pessimism grows in proportion to his confidence.
Leslie:

"They are like all the guys at work who do that."
