I think it is more likely the reinforcement fleet had rallied and was heading towards us when TF2 detected and intercepted them, in the process they destroyed or disabled 4 of the 7 heavies with our forces in Ixiara disabling a 5th. But yeah the Enterprise did more damage then the rest of the task force combined... our Explorer corp can be deadly with captain and crew bonuses.
It looks like this was a deep space interception rather than a battle in the Ixaria system.

She definitely shaved some time off needing to be in grade at any rate, plus justified her ability for task force command. As for the remaining house, once their superweapon is down it is hunting time

I thought we wanted to stop them from launching a bunch of science ships with full Mentats? Or at least have a chance to detect and intercept these ships?

That doesn't seem to have been applied in the actual turns though.
This is the first time Yorkshire was hit, as you can see, starting at 30 shield.
Hit once in the skirmish so far, over 10 shields down.
Or we could task them with the Licori supervision after the war.
I imagine so, there tech escorts have the science to help clear any minefields and would pad out whichever task force we sent as they all have taken damage.
