These logs are great. They feel so very very Star Trek. You can imagine them as episodes.
It's ok to dream of your shipgirl waifu
This captain deserves a medal for Uncommon Sense."It's in the walls, it's in the walls... it ... it feeds. We are forsaken. Flee this place."
I have not sent an away team down to the surface.
"Greetings from the United Federations of Planets! I'm Nash ka'Sharren, Captain of the illustrious, graceful, and renowned USS Enterprise -- and this is my colleague, Commander Nobody, Captain of the USS Needs To Be Babysat, renowned for sticking his fingers into electrical sockets."I mean, if we're feeling saucy we could dump an Oberth or a Miranda or something on them as an escourt quest? > : V
You have to love when characters hear about the walls breathing and the flesh becoming one and sensibly go, "You know what, Commander Trenno? No. Nope. Not today."
Hit an 11 on 2d6 for his Science Test, I figured he wasn't going to be sticking any forks in any toasters today. You have to love when characters hear about the walls breathing and the flesh becoming one and sensibly go, "You know what, Commander Trenno? No. Nope. Not today."
The exploration cruisers are super tanky. At worst they've lost shields and a sliver of hull so far. Even Captain Vulcan man's run ins with pew! pew! pew!, have all followed on from the same encounter.

Yes.Okay, question for the thread!
Would you prefer that I make a demonstration Research Turn (the last act of the retiring head of the Ship Design Bureau, Rear Admiral T'Laur) and use the current RP stockpile to show how the system works so there is an easy reference in place for next time ... or just skip it and keep the RP for 2302.3 when you have control and you just end up with Yes research points to play with that turn, and I just forge on to post up Quarter 4's events?
Captain's Log, Supplemental, USS Challorn, Stardate 20718.1
Upon arriving in orbit over Ulith III we have discovered that the scientists are missing. No lifesigns can be found on the planet's surface.
Commander Mbeki has managed to ungarble the final transmission of the ill-fated science colony. It is as follows...
"It's in the walls, it's in the walls... it ... it feeds. We are forsaken. Flee this place."

Definitely sounds like we need to include courses in "Uncommon Sense" at Starfleet Academy, if the only reason he didn't poke things with a stick was a good roll.Hit an 11 on 2d6 for his Science Test, I figured he wasn't going to be sticking any forks in any toasters today.
Demonstration might not be a bad idea, yeah. I'd say go for it.Okay, question for the thread!

And a medal and citation.
Demonstration please!Okay, question for the thread!

It gets better:
For the Ulith III outpost, nothing can be done, and the phage is too virulent to be left alone. We have fired a spread of torpedoes into the surface, and consigned our fallen comrades to the stars.
"Mash F to Technobabble!" :lol

"Sir, Starfleet Command has sent you their congratulations on a job well done and says there's a Starfleet Cross waiting for you when you get home."Those poor red shirts were so confused/happy that they wouldn't be fed to the monster of the week that they chipped in and bought the Captain a nice gift.
It's not really talked about, but the really important part about Star Trek humanity moving past money and material greed is that there is no Weyland-Yutani corporate suit tagging along to stop you from taking off and nuking it from orbit as the only way to be sure...
