Yeah, if the massive NX-class can have the same Maneuverability with the new impulse thrusters, the much lighter Stingray is going to become a space hot rod with them.It doesn't need the extra guns because of how nimble it is, keeping an enemy in its sights won't be an issue. And this is before the new Impulse engines make it even more maneuverable. The Stingray is a lean, mean, fighting machine.
They were able to field a cloaked drone, which they used so that none of their people could be captured by the enemy and thus continuity maintained.
Actually, the video is edited. For plot reasons someone on the ship needed to detonate the warp core. The ship could have continued fighting if controls were rerouted. To be fair - the entire starship started exploding from the hits that blew the bridge open. I can't say that putting the bridge inside the heart of the vessel would have helped in this situation, it looks like Enterprise's defenses were completely depleted.
If the thrusters are capable of at least vertical thrust vectoring then the dual thrusters would be able to make a Stingray roll where it seems like right now it just has yaw through differential thrust. Depending on where the center of mass is relative to the thrusters, thrust vectoring might also let it pitch. That would help maneuverability a lot though maybe it's not possible because it would end up pointing the thrusters at the nacelles.More realistically the Daedalus' dual thrusters allows it rapid turns in the horizontal axis with asynchronous thrust, and its RCS thrusters at the edge of the saucer means that it can rotate along its longitudinal axis to bring its cannons to bear.
I thought the drone wasn't cloaked, but had a hologram emitter network to make it appear like multiple different species' starships, to sow discord in the proto-Coalition when it started attacking ships? They were able to field a cloaked drone, which they used so that none of their people could be captured by the enemy and thus continuity maintained.

Not really I played all quest as the foaming at the mouth warhawk so I stay the course and advocate for more firepower.(Insert long rant about warships being better at fighting than freighters or Science ships.)
In another episode, Enterprise is found by a Romulan Bird of Prey while trapped in a minefield, leading to a rather tense situation, and dialogue states that both the mines and the Romulan ships have cloaking devices.
Alright yeah, that would make sense with the old thrusters and warp engine being removed. I think the only confusion is about the torpedoes now.
@Sayle, could we get some word on this; what does this "(Atomic Torpedoes) (2 Industry) (+2 Industry Cost)" mean? Would it really only cost 2 Industry to refit all five Stingrays with atomic torpedoes?
I should clarify I intended this with refits to make it more economical to advancing technology in mind. Refitting the defences away from polarized hull plating to shields doesn't strike me as a hugely more complex refit than redesigning it to host a secondary hull like what happened in canon. The big thing is maintenance. You only have to work on the shield emitters for normal maintenance and if they take battle damage.
Whole energized plates are going to take damage no matter when they get hit and you have to do normal maintenance that's probably way more intensive. Also, you have to run energy conduits throughout your entire hull instead of fixed points complicating ship design even further.
