Tommy gun had a number of nicknames. I dont think streetsweeper was one tho. I believe the striker shotgun had that name. Which is in general whats in my head for this one. The most relevant nickname for the thompson i can think of is chicago typewriter.
Well, it was ment to be the trench clearing weapon of the USEF (Might have been the AEF [It was something Expeditionary Force I remember that much at least]) but ended up taking to long and became the mafia's weapon of choice during the Prohibition.

Thats cause back in the day you could order guns out of catelogues and what not for home delivery lol

Think someone is going to pull out one on Miss Militia at some point in this story? I can see it now:
Dead Goon 1: How did you die idiot?
Dead Goons 2-4: Yeah, how did you die?
Darwin Award Winner: I pulled out a Tommy Gun on Miss Militia and almost killed her.
Dead Goon Leader: You are a f%#$ing idiot. And I don't mean that in an endearing way.

Goodfellow? Shakespeare? Hang on, is that an ice using fire cat? Fucking hell, the last thing Brockton needs right now is an infestation of fucking fairies!

Oh it is totally possible. If i recall right as long as its not tinkertech she can replicate it. ANY firearm in existance that isnt tinkertech as long as she handled it herselt she can replicate it. With any kind of rounds in it she wants. Aa12 with dragonsbreath? Sure. P90 with rubber tipped rounds? Yup. Grenade launcher with tear gas nades? Yep pretty sure. Barret light fifty with depketed uranium high ex rounds? Do it. So an aa12 would be child's play if i remember the specifics of her power right
Scary addition to that list, the Davy Crockett. It is a man portable nuke with a too short range. One story on here mentioned it and MM pulled it out and was horrified that it counted for her limits of "mass produced man portable weapons".

True true. Also means standard mortar tubes would also be aplicable since the davy crocket was essentially a mortar based nuke launcher

Canonically, she would have no problem with a Davy Crockett, as she produced a much larger bomb.

Unless of course one of them is Maleficent - and she brings her niece for a vacation (Fae Taylor is almost as scary as Mr Black to the bad guys.)

She would have a problem with a Davy Crockett. ;) The same problem everyone else has with the thing. The blast radius of the payload is greater than its delivery range.
The biggest problem with the davey crocket wasnt the blast radius actually. It was the radiation. Miss Militia tho could just MOAB the ammunition instead of using the nuclear based ammo. She cna already use bean bag ammo and rubber bullets in her guns. I cant see a reason why she couldnt turn the nuke payload of the davy crocket into a moab type bomb instead.

Myth. The max range (1.25 - 2.5 miles depending on the version) is beyond the AoE of the radiation flux, which is larger than the blast radius. Being down wind, OTOH, is a very bad idea.

Pretty much this. Blast range was 5 miles, firing range is only half a mile. It of course never got used, but it exists. The "shell" and launcher without the nuke part are actually museum pieces now. I think they were made shortly after Hiroshima and Nagasaki happened as a response to the army wanting their own nuke system, practicality be damned.

You know, I keep seeing stories where people fear Miss Militia 'cos she has All The Weapons... what would scare the bejebus out of me if I lived there; she can make all the ammo for all the weapons and while basic ammo is basic, some of the ammo out there should be enough to scare the bejebus out of anyone with even a passing acquaintance with sanity.
... well yes, but at least she doesn't have to store that ammo, and I really expect we can assume she'll manifest "fresh" ammo? Also probably not much of an issue with duds, as in unexploded stuff left on the field after battle?

So rather less of a problem with some of those... well.

Let's just say that there are some interesting possible failure modes with guided missiles. Some of which I've happened to see rather closer than would've been comfortable, and the missiles being very close to official use-by date may well have been one of the reasons...

Does the ammo have to be a mass-produced type as well? Because while beanbags and rubber bullets in common calibers are mass-produced, I don't think a MOAB for the Davy Crockett would've been...?

Though, the practice round did have 16 pounds of conventional HE filler.

Also, the reason why the Davy Crockett "live" rounds were thought to kill mostly by radiation... the silly thing was just too inaccurate to have any confidence of having the direct nuclear blast radius overlap a target.

It's actually been discussed in story; Miss Militia was asked by a Ward if her power could make a Davy Crockett.

She basically said, "Yes, complete with the M338 Nuclear Ordnance Package". However, she dare not use it, because it takes out entire city blocks. Even a twenty ton yield is equal to 1 MOAB package (got woken up one morning in Pensacola by testing of the damn thing. Reprted into sick call afterwards, got a day to sleep) and capable of wrecking a lot of stuff. However, if Dragon wanted to make some 35kg Confoam rounds using the same system... So a confoam grenade (basically, the M338 was a nuclear rifle grenade for a recoiless rifle) with a low altitude airburst capability...

I think the most amusing use of Miss Militia's power was that she actually manifested a small artillery piece and used it at point blank range, utterly annihilating the member of the Fallen. The gun in question was meant to be man portable by a squad, and was mass produced.... I forget what fic that might have been in... Hmmm.

1 - Wait, you were actually near a test of the MOAB? Any more details? That sounds cool (also probably loud as all heck).

2 - I get the feeling that you might have just gotten inspired by the quoted text I list. Should this happen, I indeed approve! Airburst containment foam is indeed awesome. I should note that I once saw a quasi-Shipgirl story somewhere (I don't think it has updated recently, so I forget the name at the moment) where she filled an entire parking lot waist-deep in confoam since the Empire was there at the time. It was greatly satisfying. You know, just in case you're planning something. :D

I'd love to see a fic where Taylor is a changeling, or otherwise connected to the faerie courts . . .

I had just come off of back-to-back night watches, and had been due for about six hours rack time. I'd gotten about an hour of that before they dropped a test article on the target 2-3 miles offshore. 20T of Explosive power makes a hell of a bang. As I'd been shocked awake, and wasn't likely to get any more sleep due to adrenaline, I reported into sick call, explained what happened, and got to sleep out the day. I hadn't missed much, and was able to make up my classwork easily the next day.

There's also this - The Tales of a Teenage Necromancer - which is a bit cracky, but has a half Fae half Norse god Taylor who specializes in necromancy and boggling the minds of everyone involved, its a fun read, especially with Taylors Grandmother Mab comes to visit and give relationship advice

A bit silly for sure, but the silliness is a bit inline with Scaling Up in that everything is getting tossed into the cookpot to see what happens

In regards to the current chapter, things are definitely starting to fall apart for the empire for sure, they should have learned, you don't bring a gun to a dragon fight, you just run away, but no, they channeled their inner forum meme and said "meh, we can take her" and, well, now we all get to eat popcorn and watch the fireworks, which, are definitely going to have some literal meanings

Hooray for words, they're good and good for you, or something like that
