The thing about monetizing the work of non-combat magical girl powers is that, at least for a while, it'll come down to a small number of MGs whose powers are highly profitable while the vast majority can't be used to make a profit (but are invaluable for fighting Witches and Familiars). Yuma and other healers would make tons of money; Yuki's ability, if it has the range to cover Earth, could also be extremely profitable. Sakura-style teleportation would be able to make a ton of money for executives and other wealthy individuals.

Of course, it's also worth noting that there are lucrative non-profit applications for a number of powers, too. Sabrina's power allows for extremely precise and potent control of things on even an atomic (or subatomic) level--extremely useful for research. Teleporters would allow for experiments about faster than light travel--the kind of data that physicists would give an arm for. Clairvoyance would be extremely useful for finding missing persons and search and rescue. MGs with weather manipulation or fire manipulation would be enormously useful for wildfires or natural disasters. And so on.

I have little to say regarding this discussion besides that we should discuss magic in business but refrain from specifics and the jobs should be flexible in schedule.

Outside of the current topic, I have created some suitable insignias for Constellation.

The symbolism employed is simple. It employs a simplified soul gem which all megucas could recognize and identify and four stars, all of which represents the founders of the Constellation (3 of these represents White Ribbon, Pleiades Saints, and the Fukushima Mercenaries while the 4th represents independent Megucas)

Other methods of unionbusting include: locking organizers in a metal box and letting them fry in the desert sun, carbombs, and airstrikes.

That was a really great chapter!

Sounds like it's like union busting, but for a business that has found a highly profitable business model which happens to reduce average life expectancy for workers to around 15.

Edit:
I'm assuming no businesses have such low life expectancies for workers, but in retrospect that's probably naive of me to think...

Globus Cruciger is christian, but it is also in current use as (an admiterably alternative) symbol of Earth (the planet), or antimony (alchemical).
The Christian interpretation is too prominent for us to consider it. I would prefer a more slightly more detailed representation of the soul gem, maybe Madoka's soul gem. Of course, we could dive deep into the religious symbolism and invoke Madokami. On that note...
"God help us," Ichiro murmurs
"But Madokami is already helping us, by sending me."

Well, at least no union buster can claim to torture the soul of their employees for all eternity as not only a consequence of but as the goal of the entire business!

"Why should I dream small?" you ask, spreading your arms. Mami sways out of the way, an amused smile on her face. "But anyway, to drag this back to my point: we can accomplish a lot if we put our minds to it, and we should like... actually formalize something towards that end, if we're all for it. Maybe not this meeting, but we can think about it and talk about it next meeting?"

"One goal per person?" Akemi suggests.

"Or something like that," you say. "And... mm. So, I suppose one of the things we should think about is a broad... charter? A mission statement?"

"It sounds like you have something in mind?" Umika asks.

"Yeah, I do," you say, leaning forward in your chair. "Building on what I just said, well... mutual aid. To each of us, from each of us, to help everyone accomplish their goals, and beyond that, to help all magi survive and prosper, to use magic to help humanity at large. How does that sound?"

"It sounds like what we already agreed to," Noriko says. Akemi elbows her. "Perhaps a bit broader than initially mentioned?"

"It does," Mika says. "But that's how formalizing something works! I'm all for it."

"Yeah, mm. We don't have to formalize a real written charter just yet, but I think it's something we should start thinking about?" you say. "Mutual defense within the limits of our abilities, and decent behaviour, that kind of thing. And like... our overarching goal is to help. But only to what each person can do."

You wave your hand vaguely.

"Like... the United Nations feeds hungry children, but it doesn't ask 'em to memorize and forward the United Nations Charter or whatever," you say. "By analogy. We help those who need it. And if you can't give anything back, that's fine. We're just gonna ask you to be a decent person. Right?"

Sayaka laughs shakily.

"Hey, can I say something?" she asks.

"Go ahead?" you say.

"I..." Sayaka starts, then closes her mouth. After a moment, she pushes her chair back and stands. "OK, like. This feels big. I mean, magical girl United Nations! Just think about it, it's something that could change the world, and we're going to make it real. We're all just teenagers mostly but why shouldn't we dream big? This all sounded better in my head and I didn't think of a conclusion, but... yeah! That's what I wanted to say."

She drops back into her chair.

"We've all been focused on survival, for so long," Akemi murmurs. "We don't. Not any more."

"Indeed, Miss Saito," Mami says, smiling. "I think we're all broadly in agreement, then?"

You beam, bright and wide as the agreements roll in.

"Thanks, everyone," you say. "I... you know what? One day, ten years down the line, twenty years, we're gonna look back on this moment and laugh, because we didn't have any idea what we were doing. We don't even have anything properly written up yet, even."

"I can help there!" Mika says. "I mean, I've got the experience. But as Miss Akemi says, let's not borrow trouble for now."
Emphasis mine.
"Ah, yeah," you say, taking that as an invitation to expand on a somewhat lighter topic. "A few of us can fly, and at the core of it, we're banding together to... try and improve the lives of magical girls, and for mutual defense. My personal vision is to expand the organization globally and use that influence to help magical girls everywhere, but we haven't properly codified the Constellation's mission statement yet. I mean, we only named it today, even. There's a lot to do, and I don't just mean in putting together an organization."

"You should do that soon," Haruka observes. She looks a little calmer, her back straight and face less ghastly-pale. "I assume that you're all broadly aligned in goals, but a mission statement isn't just a nice corporate slogan, you know? It's a guiding principle."

"We do intend on getting it done soon, yeah, but our organization is very new," you say. You debate on elaborating on the circumstances, that you were taking the opportunity of coming off an easy victory to cement something greater, but... perhaps not. You're trying to keep the tone lighter for now.
We didn't put it into words yet we did get agreement on a sort of mission statement/overarching goal or whatever for the Constellation.
At least that's how it reads to me.
Continuity error or me being bad at reading, the world may never know?

Edit: Reading over it again I think it might just my ability to read failing me.

Honestly, I really want to do this just because it's extremely hilarious to me, and I don't think anyone would notice. Actually, maybe Sayaka would. We can watch her reaction.

Dammit, when exactly do you sleep, @Firnagzen ?

Ah well, screw it.
Funny thing is, I had this list of omakes that I meant to index, but also completely forgot to. That has been fixed.
I thank you for that, That was kinda bugging me for a bit.

Still kinda miffed that Sabrina-ko pt. 2 isn't there, but considering that I can't exactly remember where that damn thing is in the thread either, I kinda expected it. Oh well.

Sure, you mean it as a joke, but fattening up is what you do to livestock

Now all I can think of is Cannibal Sabrina.

Don't give me anymore ideas :V

I'm too damn hungry and wired to focus on anything else right now. Walpy should be discussed now, witchbomb should be discussed at discression later if needed

I mean, meguca can ignore pain and regrow body parts their entire bodies. Guilt-free!
"Tired of hunger and starvation being a thing for the poor and disenfranchised? Become a meguca today! With our special bodily regeneration and lack of pain abilities, you can feed the world with YOURSELF!! So don't be shy, become a mecuga today and get choppin'!!

I mean what we do is more like Stardew Valley, where we milk cows and sheer wool, while Kyubey is running a Slaughterhouse.
...Does that mean we're PETA?

"There's a lesson to be learned here," Ichiro says, nodding thoughtfully. "Sometimes, what seems to be a stroke of genius manuveuring, whether in business or in life, might just be because someone did what they wanted. Not everything is a masterstroke of planning, and not everything needs to be a masterstroke of planning."

"Papa..." Hitomi says.
"I see," Ichiro says, dragging a shaky hand down his face. "Alright. I begin to see the shape of things, I think."

Oh man @Firnagzen I love this dude.

He talks like a wise old wizard... can we keep him?

I have a sugestion for a insignia.

We'd have to swap the runes for something else of course. But I really want to sneak a Madokami reference. Let's see how Mikiel reacts to this.
