Maybe because I'm a bit blinded by the anime-land with absurd syllabi or hypercompetent teenagers (like Mika, seasoned meguca and swayer in her father's multi-billion company) but I don't expect the girls to have many non-magical skills right now. I mean, they are teenagers who until now had to dedicate a considerable time of their lives to practice magic and fight witches. Maybe one of the wants to become, say, an accountant but that still is many years more of studying from what they are now.
And yes, I'm aware how hypocritical it sounds, with Sabrina not going to school either.
Where I'm going with this?..... I'm not that sure
But it may be important to consider not only current skills, but also skills they may want to develop in the future. And meanwhile, yes, offer simple, safe options.
