Huh. I missed this the first time. Mika has a Clear Seed, but she's still continuing to hunt witches regardless. That's good!

Even if she's doing it out of boredom, we need girls to keep hunting witches if we don't want all the normal people to get overrun...

Well for now grief seeds remain magical girl currency. She may have a lot of cash but that won't matter to a lot of meguca who are magically starving and can steal what they need anyway. So if she wants to buy enchantments or something she needs seeds.

hmm, pretty sure there's nothing stopping us from grabbing Mami's ribbons and personally stuffing it into our hammerspace. People enter witch barriers all the time, if that's what unique 4D pockets are protos of. What would be interesting to try is to build a track that goes from normal space that slowly slides into 4d space, and seeing if Mami can follow it. Aka Barrier entrances

"[] Gush over Mami" is something I would actually consider. :V

EDIT: We should call Nagisa some time soon. It's been literally ages since we've talked with our little sis.

EDIT: EDIT: Votewise, a thing to consider is that, the Shiogama girls, like most meguca that'll be inmigrating, are teens who might benefit from being presented tasks and expectations they can accomplish.

If we can think of a way they could help (the clearer and simpler the goal, the better), it would be good to ask them, specifically, to help in such a way.

We don't really know if they have any special skills, which makes this more difficult, as we don't want to tell them "great for you, you don't need to hunt anymore, now get back to hunting"... and we need to balance this with the fact we're not actually demanding any payment from them.

If we don't find Akemi and Noriko to have any special skills, and they still want to help, we could ask them to... I don't know, help with hunting, just in a much safer, easier way than they're used to? Eg, patrol and find Witches so others can take them out, or also help in hunting, but as part of larger groups, so it's safer.

Mika ruffles Hitomi's head while laughing.

"Why didn't you all know you knew Hitomi?"

Sabrina, Mami, Sayaka, Madoka and Homura: "..."

Sayaka: "Wait, so you know each other?"

"Of course!"

"Mika used to take care of me and the other kids years ago, during meetings."

"While them adults yipped and yapped about boring stuff."

"Yen waving competitions?"

"Damn right! But you know? I'm one of the boring adults now."

Hitomi gasps, holding her own head with both hands.

"Yep, I get to sit at meetings and tell the old men off for being stupid..."

Mika and Hitomi walk off, catching up.

Sayaka and Madoka look at each other.

Madoka places a hand on Sayaka's shoulder.

Sabrina looks at Mami, who shrugs at her side, then at a specially downcast Homura, at the strangely grave Madoka and Sayaka, and finally at the apparently long time acquaintances, if not friends, still catching up. Unless her eyes tricked her, she could spot a cloud of sheer greed and malovelence emanating from the rich girls.

"... What the fuck did we get into."

Mami hums, drawing Sabrina into a tighter hug.

Maybe because I'm a bit blinded by the anime-land with absurd syllabi or hypercompetent teenagers (like Mika, seasoned meguca and swayer in her father's multi-billion company) but I don't expect the girls to have many non-magical skills right now. I mean, they are teenagers who until now had to dedicate a considerable time of their lives to practice magic and fight witches. Maybe one of the wants to become, say, an accountant but that still is many years more of studying from what they are now.

And yes, I'm aware how hypocritical it sounds, with Sabrina not going to school either.

Also, as a side thought, wouldn't it be super awkward if we met someone whose Witch name was Sabrina?

Akemi and Noriko are really overwhelmed and wary, and emotionally exhausted.

That being said, perhaps they could benefit from practicing enchantment. It's something productive that they could do privately, for their own benefit. Or they could accompany us during school hours, getting to know us and getting used to us.
