Alright, let's see.

We should discuss Sayaka's training with Mami first, reach a consensus on Homura's role, then do the 'good morning' bit.

Then, we need to make our chibi before Homura shows up. I don't want to miss out on a single reaction to it.

Next... Improve the safety of our laser, or work on repeating Tiro Finale? Or something else? What do you guys think?

Draft vote:

[ ] Okay then! Put your fingers on your temples in the classic 'concentration' pose.
-[ ] Unleash... the chibi.
--[ ] See if you can look through the chibi's eyes.
[ ] Once the chibi is formed, have Chibi Brina hug Chibi Mami.
[ ] >>> Discuss Sayaka training with Mami. Decide on Homura's role, since she's attending. Exact phrasing TBD. <<<
[ ] Once that discussion wraps up: GOOD MORNING MITAKIHARA!
-[ ] How is everyone? Everyone set for the picnic?
--[ ] Sayaka, is that training this morning still on?
[ ] Privately message Sayaka.
-[ ] Sorry about the early wakeup call. It's just, I screwed up, and wanted to make sure you were okay. Clear seeds can dump the grief in them into normal grief seeds on contact... and if a normal grief seed overfills, the witch in it can rehatch.
I am very, very, very sorry about not mentioning it earlier.
[ ] >>>MOAR SCIENCE TILL HOMU COMES<<<

What did Mami put in her pocket?

I'm sure it's not important or plot relevant at all. :V

I think my cuteness box broke a bit, but it's okay, because of the crazy glue.

Also, is the chibi!'brina going to be witchy? I guess yes, but no harm warning (since our best toys always feel weird)

Also and I insist on this: if we want a battle laser (and not, say, use the experimental one for battle) we can always use multiple sources that focus on one point. That solves the air heat issue, and allows us to aim inside things (if using ionizing radiation).

Sayaka's still a rookie, and it's in everyone's interest (especially Homura) to get her fighting fit as soon as possible- she wants to be helpful, and we want her to be effective. I can't imagine Mami would have any issue with that.

I forget exactly how Homura and Sayaka's relationship has progressed (or not, as the case may be). If Sayaka's still super wary of Homura, it might not be the best to have Homura actively trying to teach her anything until we're sure they won't murder each other. On the other hand, Sayaka seemed pretty chill as a magical girl so far, so assuming Homura's patience doesn't wear thin, it could work out?

Or we could just throw them both airsoft guns and let them work out their differences through jolly non-lethal violence. :V

Whatever we do, one thing to keep in mind:

-[ ] When starting work on the chibi, name sure to hug Mami tight the whole time; she tends to worry when we zone out, and that's sure to be supercharged right now.

@Redshirt Army
As the only one I saw who actually mentioned making our laser safer, I figured I'd tag you. Do you think making a vacuum in front of it out to the edge of our range (which would, of course, be inside a barrel, like Mami suggested), put the inevitable air-scattering far enough away to make it safe?

The laser we're using is going to be something like 50-300 megawatts. At those power levels, it's just plain never going to be safe to look anywhere near the beam without protection, ever. Even in a vacuum, just the reflected beam from hitting the target will blind everyone around.

Sayaka: Why do you all have airsoft guns?
Sabrina: If you can dodge airsoft you can dodge a witch... now start dodging.
Sayaka: aaaah.. and why is a chibi Sabrina chasing me!!

If we don't go Witchy stuff, we'd have just a puppet (not as advanced as Mami's), all black.

If we add color to that, we'd be using Witchy Grief... in which case we should go full Chibi Brina mode and try to make it as autonomous as the Chibi Mami.

... Also, we totally should make the Chibi Brina with witchy Grief, because... what better way is there for our friends to get used to the witchy stuff than making the (second) cutest thing possible with it?

Sayaka: Why do you all have airsoft guns?
Sabrina: If you can dodge airsoft you can dodge a witch... now start dodging.

If the Chibi Brina thing works, we should try giving it our hammer. Our normal hammer.

Just because how cute it'd be if the little one can lug the (comparatively) huge thing around. :D

Then when Sayaka turns around, real Brina's also carrying a (comparatively) huge hammer around, just because.

(Then we could pose together!)

On the subject of Mami's (Italian) attack names, I found a helpful list on the Japanese wiki for the PMMM PSP game over here.

The last three on the list (and also Rosso Fantasma) aren't technically Mami's attacks. "Squartatore" ('Ripper') and "Capriccio" ('Whim') is Sayaka trying to be like her senpai, and "Finitura Freccia" is the ultimate attack name that Mami tried to make Madoka use.

... I did a little more digging about the four names above 'Squartatore.' In the PS Vita spin-off, if you get any one girl up to a high enough friendship level with the others, you unlock a combination attack with them. If one of them is Mami, she smilingly forces the other girl to use the totally awesome attack name that she spent too much time thinking up just so happened to have handy.

And in-game, they will always, always yell out that name whenever you use a combination attack.

Mami x Madoka: Tiro Freccia!
Mami x Sayaka: Tiro Baldo!
Mami x Homura: Tiro Esplosione!
Mami x Kyouko: Tiro Lancia!

She is dedicated to her craft, man.

Oops

Whats wrong?

I think I made her too autonomous...

*snuggling* and why is that bad?

Well, I can't dispell her now... well I could, but I'm pretty sure she's sapient now and that would kind of be murder...

*snuggles harder* ... oh ...

Mami's head: Tick-tock-tick-tock-tick-tock-tick-tock-tick-tock-tick-tock-tick-tock...

...

"You made a Familiar!"

"..."

"So?"

"Oh, hi Homura!"

"S-so a f-familiar means W-Witch-"

"What are you, racist?"

"..."

"... Homura!"

*Hugs Homura*

*Looks at Mami*

"I... I guess a Witch is fine."

I don't know if this is spammy... But this is the page 4000. This is a quest that reached page 4000. Wow

So, should we go "remote puppet/body" style chibi? Or autonomous/familiar style chibi?
I think we are going for "remote, but with feedback" and given our multitasking prowess, it may be enough for most uses.

Could forming a dish-shaped blast shield behind the source of the laser help with the glare? We could go full raygun gothic with the look of the thing.

Also, looks like Mami's idea for a combination attack was similar to mine: Sabrina makes the gun and Mami makes the bullets.

What did Mami put in her pocket?
Something that chibi-Mami found near the blast site for the laser, it seems. Maybe glass that was formed when the dirt melted? I assume that she wouldn't find slagged metal worth taking, but an interesting piece of glass might be.
