The analogies don't help at all. Kyoko has always preferred to be direct in all our interactions with her so far.
Our options among the votes given so far are

Direct (generally insulting to her skill level, sounds arrogant)
Explain in full (would take too long and possibly lichbomb)
Analogy (doesn't give full total information)

Out of those three, I prefer analogy. I think they give a decent idea of why we're not using everything without spending forever explaining. She asked for information, we are giving her that information, I don't really see how that's a bad thing.

Aye. I mean, that's basically what analogy and metaphor is for; giving information without having to take the time for a whole speech.

Why insulting? She asked a simple question, "how much?", we don't need to explain anything.
The simple answer is "nearly everything". Leaving it at that implies, "I am so much better than you, I'm not bothering to exert effort, puny weakling". That is why we need to elaborate. Because the implication of the simple answer is wrong and likely to land us in trouble.

No, "nearly everything" is explaining more than we need to. The simple answer is to show what else we can bring to this spar, no need to go on about how we can kill everything if we want.

Showing what else we can bring to the spar is still holding back. A vocal answer is required to convey that we have a reason for not bringing everything to the spar.

And lie by omission. Because we'd still be holding back. I would rather avoid that, it's Kyubey's job not ours.

Of course we're holding back on the lethal stuff, we've already specified that. All we got for it was "No fucking duh,". Why are we stopping the fight longer to go on about that instead of leaving it for after we're done is beyond me.

That isn't an answer and as has been stated, it's also a lie. We could do far worse than we're going to.

EDIT:^ Grabbing her Soul Gem and rolling it away is also non-lethal. We're not doing that either.

So you're in favor of hiding in the Mobile Fortress of Doom and grabbing her soul gem? No? Then there's non-lethal stuff we aren't using either.

We're in the middle of a fight. We can tell our life story later.

You're exaggerating our position solely to make it look more ridiculous. Don't do that. It's dishonest and not arguing properly. The fact that we are in a fight and don't have time for a long explanation is taken into account in our vote. This explanation will take less than half a minute. If Kyouko had asked for details about our powers outside of a fight, the explanation I'd give her would be at least six times longer.

EDIT:^ This is acceptable, but I like the example given as it illustrates the point well. And I don't think the other votes really say that except for the ones I have other problems with.

Half a minute is a long time for me if I'm playing sports.
[] "Power wise? A lot."
-[] Too dangerous and lethal. And/or too unfair for a spar.
[] Stop the music. Convert to grief marbles. Pull out the rest of your marbles.
-[] "That said. Yeah, I can take things up a notch or two."
[] Go on the offensive. Begin using grief manipulation more offensively and aggressively. Form grief bindings, blunt instruments, shields and other constructs. Put the pressure on her. Scatter the marbles across the battle field to trap and trip her up.
I like this.
"How much are you holding back?"
"A lot."

Simple.

Mura's first vote would work, too. Kyouko's not made out of glass.

[x] Obviously Kyouko doesn't feel challenged enough. Press. Her. Hard.

[X] 'Magic-wise, a fair bit. I haven't sparred much, so most of my stuff either feels like witch, is crazy lethal, only works on witches or all three. Figured I'd better start on easy mode. Sorry?'
[X] 'Using some of my best stuff here would be like, um, challenging someone to a swordfight then sticking a landmine under their bed. Even if it works, it's missing the point.'
[X] We can kick it up a notch, but warn her things may get weird.
[X] Pull in all currently used grief, including instruments. Form wings.
[X] Be ready to ramp up power to any arbitrary level, including bindings and witch-grief.

EDIT: The above is the third draft.

Once again the vote doesn't specify Aurora or even the remaining marbles in our bag. I'm not even sure we have enough grief out right now to form wings.

Things are getting a bit heated, so here's a cat.
I guess I'm being abrupt. Later.

Just. Kyouko's not asking us to explain how are we holding back, just 'how much'. That's all, a vague question, we don't have any obligation to explain ourselves; a vague answer (a lot, a little, quite a bit) is completely fine.

Also, votes are all over the place:

[x] With allowances for non-lethal, a fair bit on the magic side, not at all on the physical side. It defeats the point of a fight if we don't actually fight. - don't specify whether we're talking about grief bindings or the Mobile Oppression Fortress.
[x] And some of the fancier stuff I can do feels like a witch barrier and tends to freak people out.
[x] Stop the music. Convert to grief marbles and grief plates orbiting us. Pull out the rest of your marbles.
-[X] That said. Yeah, I can take things up a notch or two.

[x] Skill wise, hammer to spear, not at all. When it comes to my power, a lot. This is suppose to be a non-lethal spar, and we've only just started fighting. Going all out with my power is practically cheating, and it would defeat the purpose of actually fighting.

[x] A fair lot. The fastest way to subdue someone with my powers is to use the grief in their own soul gem and any grief seeds to bind them, remove their limbs, or capture their soul gem. But tactics like that defeat the point of a spar.

[x] Considering I didn't just bind you in Grief and stop you from moving, a tiny bit. But hammer to spear, not at all. You're good; it just defeats the point of a fight if we don't actually fight.

[X] I'm not gonna lie and say I'm not, but a lot of what I am holding back is stuff that doesn't belong in a sparring session -- my wish gave me access to some really cheap bullshit, like grabbing someone's soul gem clean off them. And some stuff that just screams 'WITCH,' that I was worried wouldn't go over well if I used it. That said, I apologize if I insulted you, but your question reminded me I have some other tricks that aren't complete bullshit.
-[X] Proceed to cut the BGM, turn the instruments back into marbles, and get them swirling around us proper-intimidating-like.
-[X] Shall we continue?
-[X] If she's cool with it, resume and shift focus to our griefbending shenanigans -- fight like we should fight with grief, barring the really hax stuff like using stuff in things on her own person. Give her the kind of fight she seems to want.

[X] Say you are, roughly summarize why
-[X] Most powerful magic tends to be lethal
-[X] Second most powerful magic tends to be unsuited for sparring or feels just like Witch stuff (as opposed to only somewhat like it)
-[X] In melee skill, not holding back at all, though
[X] Stop music

[x] Magic-wise, a fair bit. I don't have much experience in non-lethal combat that's appropriate for a spar. And some of the tricks I do have feel like a witch barrier, which tends to freak people out, so I didn't want to use that in front of you and Yuma.
