Added to the character sheet post, with the age reduced by a year. Not because you're younger but because all ages are currently as of Year 0 (1 year before the current time). I'll update those sometime, but doing it every year is a logistical nightmare at the moment. The post now includes a note to this effect.

BJORN BJARNESON mounts upon his noble steed and rushes headfirst into the horde, heedless of planning or self preservation. Alyssa confides that she doesn't expect him to come back.

That's fair.

Honestly if I screw this up enough I could totally see this being Bjarneson's Fated Day, so I might just disappear actually!

@Vanestus Dyri Saeaborne can you take a quick dive in the ocean and see if there's an army there as well?
[X] Skeleton Invasion Action: Using Shapeshifting to grant himself nicitating membranes, to let him see underwater, and improve his ability to swim and hold his breath, Gunnar will scout the waters around the settlement and in the direction of the skeleton hoard for the invasion force Moli warned about.

Hopefully my Overland and Scouting skills apply to this, but shapeshifting should let me operate underwater just fine

@Vanestus

So, a quick word of warning, the crabeople have at least one competent if disruptable Illusion Asshole. Based on my analysis of the witness/victim report, if you feel a presence following you, there is one, and if there's a sudden burst of music, the trap has been sprung. And because it's Illusions we can't be sure the activation conditions will remain the same.

There's like, more, but I want to make sure it's cool to share more and all that. The above are the important bits anyway. Seeing Eyes or another esoteric detection method would be helpful.

Interesting...maybe I should go hunting for one myself. Guiding light should mess with the Illusions and...I wonder if Ocean will work against him. If not I'd just stick him with the pointy ends.

For the record, this is probably just the one guy in a Wizard outfit. Even so, it's a threat well worth bearing in mind and preparing for, but we think the Crabs are cosplaying for power (we think they're hermit crabs...stealing 'shells' in a more metaphorical sense), with abilities based on their outfit. So they could have any power set, basically. Watch out for this, but also other stuff.

Huh, that's really neat!

I just thought these dudes where analogous to the OG Fimir and we were dealing with "Irish Bullshit" from that direction.

So kinda like Slav masks. Their Shells indicate role and powers. The more...intricate/fancy/built-up the more powerful/specialized they are.

To be clear this is purely theoretical, but the one who did the illusion stuff was wearing the most stereotypical Halloween Store Wizard outfit possible with, like, moons and stars, the wizard hat and a wand. And others were dressed differently (powdered wig and so on). So we think it's likely.

Steinarr Stonelicker's Stone Cookbook (Ulvlar)
Steinarr Stonelicker's Stone Cookbook.
Stone Soup

1. Make a big Stone cookpot. Fill it with water (river water is reccomended due to higher chance of more stone) and place it over fire.
2. Find nice large Stones which looks tasty, then smash or carve if you have the time into thumb sized chunks. Place into pot.
3. remember to stir
4. after 1 hour, find or make your own gravel, and put a handful in pot.
5. 30 minutes after gravel, put your nearly finished soup into stone bowls if you can, if not wood is fine. NEVER EVER USE pottery ones.
6. garnish with left over stone.
7. Try to share your soup
8. Despair why no one wants your excellent soup.
9. Eat it all up in one go to hide your feelings.
10. Make it again for tomorrow.

[X] Grid Frostdottir Draugr Invasion Action
-[X] Help write explosion runes on the tree trunks that are being collected. Specifically inscribe the runes "When these logs break about, they will cause a great explosion of fire around them" on the tree trunks with animal blood or paint. Grid got Ragnarr's permission, so put on the Dino suit. Work with Liv Sweetwater to freeze as much of the draugrs as they can. If available use aspects to power up the freezing range and power and then drink the seeress's magic water to recover the aspects again. When Ordstirr becomes low, grab one of the Onigar's Tetsubo and ride into battle on her Nemean Lion Flygja and smash the draugrs with the Tetsubo.

I'd be happy to.

[X] Skeleton Invasion Action: Taking advantage of his Aquatic Bloodline Dyri joins Gunnar in scouting around the settlement and proposes launching swift raids on the skeleton army if the opportunity arises.

[X] Sigmund will personally act as an extra body to help out with whatever Ragnarr wants him to do. He will also attempt to help scout the Skeleton army by sending out three Ants to spy on them, hopefully remaining undetected while providing real-time updates.

Just updating my passive actions

Just a bit of character writing, Grid really isn't doing any of the physical work that's been listed, she's having her Ice Golem's do all of that for her, making her house, setting up the farm and such.

[X] Grid Frostdottir Passive Actions
-[X] Set up farms on both of my cleared lands
-[X] Use my Mushling Spawnbag to grow a Mushling and have it set to work on my farms growing Golden Grass, specifically growing that grass in sheltered locations
-[X] Continue learning the natives language
-[X] Work on building defenses around her home, including runework and the like.
-[X] Grid has been busy establishing a place in this lands and has not spent a lot of time with her younger brother Vlos, spend some time with him.
-[X] Since Grid has the ability to go the to Spirit World now with Void-Step, ask the seeress what to expect in the spirit world and what important information she must be aware of, also if she should bring anything for an adventure to the spirit world
-[X] Hunt minor beasts and store their blood as blocks in my flygja to use to power my rune items
-[X] Create a Rune Compass with wood and blood/paint to locate the Void Eagle
--[X] Craft a wooden circle and a wooden arrow and use a wooden stake to place the wooden arrow onto the wooden circle. Write the Rune's on the wooden arrow. Attach some of the Void Eagle's skin to the circle and arrow.
--[X] The inscription will be "Will point in the direction of to the closest alive beast that is the same race as the beast's skin is attached to this compass"
-[X] Create a Rune Flashbang by taking a piece of wood and fashioning it into a small board that can fit in one's palm. On it inscribe the rune's "When this wood board breaks, 1 second later a big flash of light will come out of it". Use paint to activate the runes.
-[X] Create a Rune Necklace with a brass necklace that Skuli Draugrhater created and gave to Grid in return for a Rune Item that he wants. If the brass necklace could not be made then make it with wood. Inscribe onto the Necklace the runes "The person wearing this necklace, will transfer all damage they receive from an individual back to the individual that inflicted that damage upon the necklace wearer", use animal blood If I have it, if I didn't get any then use paint
-[X] Create a Rune Ring with wood and if there is blood then that, if not then paint. The rune's inscribed on it are "Any Ice generated by the wielder of this ring, their form cannot be changed by external forces, only by the wielder of this ring".

Hrolfr & Gudrun's Competition (Shard)
Upon learning of the menace, Hrolfr offers three prototypes of a project he's been working on in secret. The Hersir may assign them out.

Dino Warsuits (Prototype)
Made of the bodies of deceased dinosaurs, these suits largely enhance durability and strength while massively robbing the wearer of their speed.
Not to be outdone, the Seeress makes available a magic water filtering mechanism that will refresh an aspect upon consumption. It requires an hour to filter enough water for one person, as it is only a prototype
Hrolfr & Gudrun's Competition

Border-breach be screeched,
Body-shaper [1] offers:

Shape of flesh that lashes [2],
Shorn speed for rough tough might.

Change of eyes sees her try,
Challenged now she wows:

Fresh water since be rinsed,
Frees soul from sleep-strolling.

[1] Shapecrafter.
[2] Dinosuits!

AN: So Skaldic rules says 'alliterating with the same syllable' which, uhmmmm, okay, that was really tough. But I got close!

[x] Skeleton event actions, Liv Sweetwater
-[x] During the preparation Liv lends her skills and strength towards the construction of obstacles and fortifications. She will let herself be directed where to build, and to what purpose but will inject her architectural knowledge when it comes to the questions of what and how to build.
-[hortly before the battle Liv will use her Clearwater kunna to offer Refreshing Drinks (alternatively framed as "Washing Away Fatigue") to those fighters that need them, as directed by the guy in charge (still on phone, keeping track of names is hard).
-[x] Liv plans to start the battle off with a large-scale move, intending to coat as many of the skeletons as possible in as much water as possible, coordinating with Grid Frostdottir (@Jaguar2234 )

@I.F. Ister are those actions feasible, esp. those that use my kunna?

Could I borrow the anti-teleportation net for a season, I'm trying to see if I can make a Void Eagle compass and if it works then the net will be a big help.

Great-- I'm going to do just that.

[X] Amerion Wardson (Skeleton Event)
-[X] Quickly go around Rekavidr proper and inscribe Smárgneisti's name into the kindling for each active fire. Torches-- campfires-- bonfires-- hearths-- anything and every active fire they can find, and then call upon Smárgneisti and offer those fires up to Smárgneisti aa both a home and responsibility to watch over, pursuant to the contract they'd made with Smárgneisti.
-[X] If there's still time-- take the stakes they'd inscribed with runes during the winter, and replant them back in Rekavidr's trenchworks with the rune-inscribed stakes split evenly between the side facing the waters, and the East.
-[X] If there's still time after the above two preparations-- store several instances of their fire kunna as fasts for them to call upon when the battle has begun in earnest.

@Ryumancer @Walliseatscheese Would Bryjnar and Bjorn be willing to make a few temporary bone swords for Agmundr to wield for the duration of the defense?
Brynjar doesn't do the temporary spawning thing, but he can shape bone into just about any shape you want while improving the bone enough that it'll actually hold an edge without chipping, if you still need a weapon.

Warband Action List

Kare Sky-Dancer and Grid Frostdottir took the air to scout out the enemy, reporting on their movements and numbers. Amlooi Toothtaker aids them with their owl fylgja. Ivor Lindholm joins them on foot, but is a stealthy and cunning sort.

Alyssa and Oddr fletch extra arrows and spears.

Grid gave Agmundr Idskapadr swords of ice. Erik provides him backup wooden swords.

Fernweh Enginweiss scattered flower seeds across the battlefield, to make use of with her Kunna.

BJORN BJARNESON mounts upon his noble steed and rushes headfirst into the horde, heedless of planning or self preservation. Alyssa confides that she doesn't expect him to come back.

Agmundr, Erik Hardhead, Katla Hrafndottir and Njal Redaxe evacuate their loved ones and join the militia.

The scouts return. Now that we know where they will come from, Ragnarr deploys us to an appropriate spot, and commands we dig in and prepare.

Alyssa Worldwalker ranges ahead, setting up traps and keeping track of how close the horde is.

Ragnarr commands the militia bring forwards many spare logs, and Erik Hardhead begins carving runes into them to make them particularly dangerous when hurled.

The Shapecrafter breaks out three hauberks of dinosaur war suits (!?). To this the Seeress adds a 'magic water filtering mechanism that will refresh an aspect upon consumption', which can create one dose per hour.

See original post for their tactics.

Arnleif Whistler and his fylgja harasses the horde with distracting music, perhaps because he is bored.

Ivor Lindholm seeds the battlefield with actual fireballs, not just regular seeds.

The Hersing details our battle plan.

Grid Frostdottir is granted a war suit.

Krakr and Moli scout the army using their Raven fylgja, with a focus on sorcery.

Akali Nightsinger evacuates his younger twins, then joins the militia with his javelins.

Torgarr Village Feeder and Steinrr Stonelicker contribute further to the fortifications.

Gunnar Toad Terror dived underwater to check for threats from beneath.

Hulfr climbs into the rooftops, to gain a good vantage point for his bow. While he waits, he also crafts high quality shields, for the upcoming battle.

(Alyssa notes that, given shields are wildly expendable anyways, this seems a questionable use of time.)

The Hersing sets aside a war suit for Brynjar Bonespear, if he accepts it.

Dyri Saeaborne joins Gunnar in scouting underwater.

@I.F. Ister
@DeadmanwalkingXI

As ever, I endeavour to be useful.

Hey I know I said Akali grabbed a spear alongside some javelins but could I change that to having a shield and javelins instead? I don't have proficiency in either weapon beyond average.
