How many PT would evolving a fylgja cost? Songbird -> Velociraptor feels reasonable

I think the real question is whether we can awaken dinosaur fylgjur.

Apparently the ship that I saw before I was eaten was what I'm pretty sure was a heavily damaged Trireme, and since I don't think the Greeks ever left the Mediterranean I'm putting my money on that boat belonging to the Romans.

So, you know, be advised, we're not the first group of fighting people wash up here.

Report from the North, abbreviated version:

We explored the nearby hills and found a pond with no visible source, filled with syrupy goop and what seems to be miniature trees. We brought back some of the goop, and through... A rather unfortunate misinterpretation that led to Brynjar unexpectedly trying to drink the stuff, we found that it makes an excellent choking hazard that becomes extra thick when exposed to blood. We expect it to make a fairly effective way to seal wounds quickly, though a more prepared expedition might be needed to fish up one of the miniature trees.

We also found a natural copper vein... And a strange form of red moss growing on it, which shivered when poked with Brynjar's spear. We scraped a bit off, and intend to hand the bone flasks containing our samples over to the Seeress.

We encountered nothing hostile in the hills, thankfully, so the hills appear to be safe as long as you're careful not to touch hazardous substances directly. An expedition to the mountains will be performed later on, now that we've confirmed the hills aren't a problem.

...I'd have potentially roleplayed this out, but it's late at night and I'm basically out of phone data.

The northern gang receive +1 Ordstirr for surviving an expedition, but the lack of any proper glory means that's all they get.

Amlóði Edition
We Have Returned!

Our Foray was mostly peaceful. We saw one of those weird lizard things the western expedition saw but it had a weird boot print on it's face. HA!
The only other living beasts we encountered were weird flat mosquitos or were driven off by Brynjar before we ever saw them

We then came upon a pool with strange trees growing out of them. After throwing a few stone into it Brynjar decided to drink from it. Whih proved to be a dangerous mistake the supposed "water" was a viscous slime that began to choke him. However he skillfully used his Bone Kunna to create an air tube and scrapped the gunk out. And through this we learned that the slime absorbed blood and could have applications in stopping bloodflow.

As we neared where the hills end and the mountains began we saw a glimmer of metal and discovered a natural copper vein! However on the vein was a strange moss that shivered with anticipation at our prodding with a stick. We scrapped it off with a spear blade and carefully did not touch it with bare flesh. It seemed like a REALLY bad idea. Both will be taken to the Seeress for further inspection.

Given that we're on a cultivation calendar where the Roman Empire fell, like, 5000 years ago, that would have to be one well preserved ship.

And here I thought I'd need to build up to it!

How many points in Bone do I need before I can start conjuring full skeletons for riding and combat purposes?
Honestly, I suspect that how many points is a question of how well it works, more so than whether you can do it.

It was scared off pretty quickly, so by the time people woke up it was already gone. So only those on guard duty
I wrote Erik being involved, but explicitly said he'd take a bit of time to get involved. Should I assume that Erik doesn't get the orthstirr? I'm not complaining, mind you, just want to be clear.

We also found a natural copper vein...
Sweet. Though copper won't make decent tools unless we can find something to alloy it with.

Yeah, Erik doesn't get the ordstirr in this case. Bad luck, I suppose
Eh, it's fair. A big part of Erik's general interaction with things is that he's usually a little extra-effective if he gets some windup time, but his natural reaction to a surprise is to stop and think it through. He's good at solving a static problem or keeping his head in a crisis, but an opportunity that's there and gone in a hurry will often pass him by.

There's a fairly good chance that that's going to be the true death of him some fated day.

Well, now that Day 1 is just about done, how would you say it went?

From my perspective, it was very chaotic. However, I still had lots of fun when I wasn't rushing to and fro. Keeping everything straight in my head was a lot easier than I thought it was going to be.

I imagine that, as things settle down in-world, it'll also settle down here too.

I think I deserve some ice-cream for a job well done

Definitely a bit chaotic on this end at well, but still lots of fun.

Definitely.

Well if it is a trireme and stuck on a hill, they likely do not need the sail. If someone can get me that sail I can start making warded clothing for people.

the gravity T rex probably has lots of blood, and unlike the arcticuno knockoff it's probably easier to hunt it in winter.
